His distribution wasn't great but had little else to do as Southampton kept Fulham at bay.
Bombed forward as if he were a winger at times, having little to do in the back.
Won his headers and kept the ball on the floor when he could. Was never really tested by Fulham, but did make one important block to deny Sidwell.
Lovren and his center back partner dominated the Fulham attack, which created little. Headed wide when he might have done better after the break.
Didn't get forward as much as he normally does, while his final ball also wasn't as good as it can be. Solid in the back though.
Dropped deep to get on the ball whenever he could. Good delivery for the first goal and, in general, whipped in several very dangerous balls. Defensively sound, too.
Went close with a left-footed shot. Tackled back well, as always, keeping the likes of Ruiz and Berbatov quiet. Headed a good chance wide.
Pressed Fulham very high with great intensity. Might have scored early on after stealing the ball from Senderos. Partially set up Saints' second with a brilliant cross-field ball to Lambert. Lost a bit of urgency after the break, but found it right at the death with two great moves.
Unlucky to see a shot blocked off the line after he followed up well. Played a bit further forward than usual and, at times, Saints missed his drive from defense to attack. Got slightly sloppy in the second half.
Flicked on Ward-Prowse's corner for Lambert's opening goal. Should have scored himself after a fine break moments later, but did get his goal just before the break. Went close to a second with a acrobatic overhead-kick attempt. Brought off late on after running his socks off.
Looked sharp after his rest against Manchester United. Found space in Fulham's box to head home Saints' opener. Was denied a second by the post, and then by Stekelenburg. Assisted Rodriguez's goal with a neat header across goal.
Saved well from Lallana early on. Made another important save to keep out Rodriguez just after Saints' opener, and then again to deny Lambert a second later on.
Defended fairly well against the tricky Lallana and Shaw but failed to offer anything going forward. Withdrawn at halftime.
Made an important block off the line to deny Schneiderlin. Part of a defense that too often lost its men on set pieces and crosses, though.
Had a bit of a nightmare. Made a mess of an early clearance and was then caught napping by Lallana before a good Saints chance. Beaten too easily by Rodriguez for another good opportunity. Nearly allowed Lambert in with a misplay late on.
Was pinned back by Clyne for the most part and thus had no effect going forward. Let Lallana stroll past him for a good chance late on.
Found it hard to find space on the ball against Southampton's high-intensity midfield, and thus had little effect. Still, could have done more with what he had.
Made a few sloppy passes and was unable to ever really get a grip of the game. Worked hard to get back and help out defensively, and did improve after the break.
Was caught on the ball a couple of times, in particular by Lallana who caused his some problems. Made a few important tackles though.
Much like his strike partner was nonexistent for the most part and was duly replaced with less than 15 minutes left.
Showed a few nice touches but didn't get enough ball to cause Saints any real problems. Was the one player who threatened to do something dangerous. Brought off late on.
It was the kind of game that Berbatov can go quiet in - and that he did. Barely had a touch of the ball.
