  • 90' + 1'
Fulltime in Shanghai and Manchester United secure a very comfortable 1-0 win thanks to Shinji Kagawa's first goal for the club.
  • 89'
United attacking again in these final moments. Lingard and Scholes link up well before the youngster plays a ball to Hernandez, but the Mexican missed the ball and Shanghai clear. Chicharito has looked short of confidence in every match on this tour so far.
  • 88'
Substitution Tam Sheang Tsung Lingjiang Fan
  • 87'
Hernandez heads down a longball to Bebe, and despite initially beating his man, the Portuguese player is dispossessed just as he wound up for a shot.
  • 86'
This match is certainly petering out here with United taking it down to a walking pace at times. They have completely dominated this.
  • 84'
Scholes plays a longbal over the Shanghai defence for Hernandez and although the striker's initial touches were poor, he manages to hit the corner of the crossbar from an exceedingly tight angle. Good effort.
  • 82'
Shanghai attack United for what was quite literally the first time since the end of the first-half, but nothing comes of the shot that sails well over.
  • 80'
Another good chance for United and again that man Bebe was involved. Some clever one-touch passing on the edge of the Shanghai area sees Lingard thread through Bebe. The attacker smashes a delivery across the face of the goal, but Hernandez couldn't quite reach it.
  • 78'
Audacious effort from Bebe as the Portuguese forward tries his luck from 35 yards with a stinging strike, but the goalkeeper punches it away to his right.
  • 76'
Great chance for Scholes, and from an unusual medium for the midfielder too. Lingard did well to draw in defenders before finding Vermijl on the right. The Belgian full-back delivers a good cross that Scholes heads goalwards, but it bounces off the ground and goes over.
  • 75'
Lingard showcasing some nice footwork since coming on. United are in total control here, with the Chinese team barely leaving their own half.
  • 74'
    Substitution Liang Cheng Tianyi Qiu
  • 73'
    Substitution Jesse Lingard Antonio Valencia
  • 73'
    Substitution Paul Scholes Anderson
  • 73'
Paul Scholes has well and truly introduced himself to the match as he goes flying in to a tackle, getting a slight touch of the ball. Wouldn't be a Paul Scholes performance without at least one wild tackle.
  • 71'
Three more changes for United as Paul Scholes, Jesse Lingard and Marnick Vermijl replace Anderson, Antonio Valencia and Frederic Veseli.
  • 68'
    Goal Shinji Kagawa
  • 68'
GOAL!!! Manchester United take the lead through Shinji Kagawa. Bebe did brilliantly down the left-wing, taking on the right back before cutting the ball back to Kagawa who found the net despite a dodgy first-touch. Kagawa has been very good today and the goal is very much deserved.
  • 66'
Kagawa is absolutely running this match at the moment. The attacker is gliding around the final third, creating everything for United.
  • 64'
United's saviour against Ajax Cape Town - Bebe - almost got his second goal of pre-season. Valencia played a cross from the right which was flicked on to Hernandez by Kagawa, and the Mexican chested the ball down for Bebe who forced a good save from the goalkeeper with a powerful volley.
  • 63'
Some good link-up play there between Valencia and Kagawa ends up with Hernandez is possession. The Mexican turns well on the edge of the area but the eventual cross from Veseli is poor.
  • 62'
    Substitution Javier Hernández Federico Macheda
  • 61'
Great bit of play from Kagawa as the Japan international surges forward from just past the halfway line, curving his run round the defence between trying to find the bottom far corner with a curling effort, but the goalkeeper saves. Kagawa has been marvellous in this second-half so far.
  • 60'
Change for United and Javier Hernandez gets a thunderous ovation as he takes to the pitch in place of Macheda.
  • 58'
United trying to work their way through a crowded penalty area as Bebe finds Macheda, but the striker can't dribble through the large number of defenders.
  • 57'
    Substitution Yu Fei Yang Wang
  • 56'
From the resulting corner, Anderson almost finds the top-far corner of the goal with a curling effort, but it goes just wide.
  • 55'
Brilliant chance for United, but Macheda can't find the goal when one-on-one. Kagawa turned away from a Chinese defender with a sublime turn before sliding a pass through to the Italian forward, but his finish was poor and United settled for a corner.
  • 54'
Valencia once again tries to beat the Shanghai left-back, but fails. The Ecuador international has struggled today.
  • 52'
Excellent tracking back from Tunnicliffe after a long ball managed to reach Griffiths. The England youth international charged back and got a tackle in.
  • 50'
Good play by Kagawa as he runs at the Shanghai defence before slipping a pass through to Macheda. The Italian plays the ball back into the area, but instead of leaving it for Tunnicliffe, Kagawa brings it down himself and the attack comes to an end.
  • 48'
Anderson involved once again as Kagawa cuts the ball back to him on the edge of the area, but the Brazilian's low shot goes just wide of the far post. That was very close.
  • 47'
    Substitution Sam Johnstone Anders Lindegaard
  • 47'
    Substitution Bebe Nick Powell
  • 47'
    Substitution Jin Tao Moisés Moura
  • 47'
Bebe, on the left-wing, plays an excellent ball to Valencia on the right. The ball finds its way to Anderson in the area, but his shot is blocked.
  • 47'
Sir Alex Ferguson makes three changes with Sam Johnstone replacing Anders Lindegaard in goal, while Ryan Tunnicliffe and Bebe replace Nick Powell and the impressive Davide Petrucci, respectively.
  • 46'
We are back underway for the second half. Manchester United kick us off.
  • 45' + 1'
Halftime between Shanghai and United. The Premier League side have dominated and struggled in equal measure, with the Chinese outfit defending well for the entire first-half.
  • 45'
United back on the attack, looking to create a late chance in this first-half, but Shanghai have been pretty resolute defensively.
  • 42'
Golden chance for Shenhua to take the lead, but former Leeds United man Joel Griffiths' effort is saved by Lindegaard. The forward managed to get away from Ferdinand and charged towards goal, but Lindegaard knocked the ball over with the inside of his right elbow.
  • 39'
Ball comes in from the right towards Macheda. The Italian produces a clever piece of control, flicking it behind him, but just before he can get a shot it, a defender slides in and pokes the ball back to the goalkeeper.
  • 38'
Time and time again Brady is trying to beat his marker, but every time without fail, he fails. He is not having a good game in an attacking sense.
  • 36'
United playing a lot of close, intricate passes around the midfield with Kagawa, Anderson, Powell and Petrucci making it very narrow, but these passing moves aren't getting them anywhere. Macheda looks helpless up front by himself, while Valencia is being given very little service.
  • 34'
Macheda called offside when presented with an excellent chance. Valencia threaded through a pass for the forward to run on to and the Italian found the side-netting, but he was penalised for running too early.
  • 33'
Brady and Macheda link-up down the left, with the Italian fortuitously getting possession thanks to a ricochet, but he loses the ball when attempted to trick his way past a defender in the area.
  • 31'
All 11 Shanghai players are in their own half currently, defending in droves against United, attempting to catch them on the counter-attack. Some of United's passing has been a bit sloppy, particularly from Brady, while they haven't got Valencia involved anywhere near enough.
  • 29'
United almost create themselves an opening as Anderson seizes on a defensive error before sliding a pass into the area for Kagawa. The Japanese attacker twists and turns his way away from defenders but his forced back out wide. He turns back to cross but his delivery is blocked and goes behind. Oddly, the referee awards a goalkick.
  • 27'
Some lovely footwork being showcased by Petrucci on the left as he drags the ball in and out of the reach of opposing defenders before nut-megging another. The Italian is eventually crowded out, but the crowd certainly enjoyed it.
  • 25'
Petrucci is again looking to control the play, this time trying to find Frederic Veseli marching forward down the right, but the pass was a little too long and the Swiss defender couldn't quite reach it. Must be the first time he has been in the attacking third so far.
  • 23'
Fantastic chance for United to take the lead here through Nick Powell. Davide Petrucci, who has been United's best player so far, chipped a lovely ball over the Shanghai defence, but after breaking the offside trap Powell placed his effort wide of the right-hand post. He really should have scored.
  • 21'
United still in control here, dominating possession and generally camped in the Shanghai half, but they aren't creating a great deal. Macheda has looked very isolated up-front.
  • 19'
Macheda nearly gets himself an opening as Petrucci finds his compatriot who produces a clever backheel, not unlike his famous touch for THAT goal against Aston Villa, however this time the defence get the tackle in.
  • 17'
Petrucci has an effort for United from the edge of the area, but the Italian's strike rolls along the floor and the goalkeeper is able to collect down to his right.
  • 14'
Sloppy control from Macheda sees the ball go through to the goalkeeper after a nice little pass from Petrucci.
  • 12'
Two players down injured here after a 50/50 challenge. Shouting and Powell both went in very hard, the Chinese player with studs showing, Powell two-footed. Both players appear to be fine, but that could have resulted in a nasty injury.
  • 10'
Robust defending from Brady. Wang Lin receives the ball down the right once again and attempts to trick his way inside the leftback, but the former Hull City loanee barges him out of the way. No free-kick given, rather surprisingly.
  • 8'
Shanghai have their first chance of the match as Yan Song goes for goal from range, but Lindegaard easily deals with it.
  • 7'
Shanghai release Wang Lin down the right-wing, but before he could get a cross in Brady shepeards him out of play.
  • 6'
Petrucci plays Brady in down the left, but he is penalised for a shoulder-to-shoulder with the right-back. That was harsh and could just have easily been a penalty to United. Goalkick to Shanghai.
  • 5'
Brady can only hit his free-kick into the wall, disappointingly. United still in possession however.
  • 5'
United win a free-kick in shooting range as Anderson plays the ball into Macheda's feet, but Moises dumps the Italian on the floor. Brady stands over the kick.
  • 3'
Good opening for United as Nick Powell plays the ball across the edge of the area to Brady on the left. The full-back beats his marker round the outside, but the goalkeeper collects the Irishman's delivery.
  • 2'
Possession getting exchanged a lot in the opening moments and Shanghai get a free-kick on the right hand-side in their own half as Robbie Brady is a little too attentive to the right-winger.
  • 1'
Shanghai Shenhua kick off the action.
  • Kick-off is a matter of minutes away in Shanghai so don't go anywhere!
  • Davide Petrucci is a very talented player who is making his first start for the United first team today. The Italian was nabbed from Roma as a 16-year-old but missed almost two years of action through injury, but a good campaign for United's reserves last year has seen him make up for lost time.
  • New signing Shinji Kagawa will be making his second start in a United shirt, while fellow new boy Nick Powell is appearing from the start for the first time after an impressive cameo against Ajax Cape Town.
  • United have named a peculiar looking side, but plenty of talent in it: Lindegaard; Veseli, Ferdinand, Carrick, Brady; Valencia, Powell, Anderson, Kagawa; Petrucci; Macheda
  • There will undoubtedly be some disappointment out there as neither Nicolas Anelka or Didier Drogba are starting for Shanghai Shenhua. There starting eleven is: Qiu Shengjiong; Xiong Fei, Moises, Qiu Tianyi, Wang Lin; Fan Linjiang,Zheng Kaimu, Wang Shouting, Wang Hongliang, Yan Song ; Joel Griffiths
