The Western Conference foes are both unbeaten in their last three matches heading into Saturday's meeting at CenturyLink Field.A pair of surging sides go head to head this weekend as the Seattle Sounders and Colorado Rapids meet in a playoff rematch.
After Seattle defeated Colorado 2-0 in last season's Western Conference knockout match, the teams are both 2-0-1 in their past three games heading into Saturday's contest at CenturyLink Field (4 p.m., MLS Live, Univision Dep.).
The Sounders during the thee-game unbeaten stretch have been riding the prolific forward duo of Clint Dempsey (five goals, two assists) and Obafemi Martins (one goal, two assists). The designated players figure to provide a tough matchup for Colorado's center back pairing of Drew Moor and Shane O'Neill.
On the other side, Rapids winger Vincente Sanchez (four goals this season) will find himself looking to dictate Colorado's attack while fending off speedy Sounders right back DeAndre Yedlin.
Colorado could be shorthanded in midfield for this one, with Jose Mari (quad) and Dillon Powers (leg) both question marks, while Seattle could be without left back Leo Gonzalez (hamstring).
