I hope that you've enjoyed Goal.com's LIVE coverage of Galatasaray's 3-2 Champions League over Schalke, as Terim's side march into the next round of the competition. I've been Simon Harrison, and I hope that I will see you all again next time!
That was a very tight affair! Schalke were in the game throughout, mainly thanks to the brilliance of Bastos and Draxler, but Galatasaray's first half display was worthy of qualification into the next round of the Champions League. Despite playing the majority of the second half deep in their own half, the Turkish side are through!
Schalke thought that they had the tie in control after taking an early lead through Neustadter, but it wasn't enough! Goals from Altintop, Burak and Amrabat seal qualification for the visitors, and Terim looks ecstatic!
THAT'S IT! GALATASARAY PROGRESS! A late Amrabat goal seals the qualification for the Turkish champions, and Gala go through 4-2 on aggregate!
90' + 5'
Goal Umut Bulut
GOALLLLL! Amrabat finishes the game off! Schalke are caught out pushing too many players forward, and the substitute manages to squeeze the ball home past Hildebrand!
90' + 4'
Yellow Card Sead Kolasinac
90' + 3'
Fuchs goes for the spectacular, after spotting Muslera off his line, but the keeper is aware of the substitute's intentions and backpedals towards his own line - before claiming Fuchs' shot easily.
90' + 2'
It's mayhem in the Galatasaray area, as the hosts lay siege! The Turkish side are holding firm though, with Dany heading away various dangerous balls!
90' + 1'
There are five minutes of stoppage time.
Fuchs has a long-range effort, which is deflected behind for a corner! Schalke are relentlessly piling on the pressure!
We're in the last minute of the game, but I predict a lot of stoppage time after Semih's injury! Gala counter after a Schalke free-kick is cleared, but Bulut is found to be offside.
BASTOS! A Fuchs cross falls to the Brazilian at the back post, and he smashes a half volley at goal! Muslera clings onto the ball as though his gloves are covered in glue, taking all of the sting out of the strike!
Both managers have shown their hands and made their final substitutions, but it's still unclear as to which side will triumph! Two offensive Schalke changes might just force the issue for the hosts.
Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi
Yellow Card Didier Drogba
AMRABAT! A great interchange between the substitute and Drogba sets the left winger free, he cuts inside but fires his shot straight at Hildebrand! The Schalke keeper beats the fierce effort away!
You really can't fault Pukki's effort tonight, he's raced around the pitch and worked tirelessly. Although he's lacked that clinical touch, he's tried his best to fill Huntelaar's rather large boots. Schalke are still pressing on.
We're into the final ten minutes, and the game is still poised to go either way! As it stands, Galatasaray will progress, but if the home side get the third goal they've been pushing for, they will go through to the next round.
Muslera makes a mess of his goal kick, hoofing the ball essentially to Draxler, but Dany manages to avert the danger. The Gala goalkeeper has had a strange evening, he's made his fair share of bad mistakes and good saves.
It looks as though Semih took a heel to the temple, and he's being put on a stretcher. He might have been knocked unconscious there, he was certainly caught by Draxler's boot, although the clash was totally unintentional.
DRAXLER! Matip feeds the youngster, who drives into the box before cutting the ball back to Pukki. Muslera manages to pounce upon the cross well, but again it's great work from Draxler. Semih is down injured after Draxler seemed to catch the defender in the head with his boot.
Howedes meets a Farfan free-kick at the front post, but fails to direct the ball goalwards. He holds his head in disbelief, but I think he's being a little hard on himself there, it was a difficult chance to take!
Bastos has been very energetic in this second half. Eboue has had a really tough time keeping the Brazilian under wraps, the Lyon loanee has just proved to be too tricky of a customer.
Schalke are continuing their ascendensy, with Bastos leading the charge down the left. Farfan sees a shot blocked on the edge of the Gala box, as Dany takes the ball in his stomach. That might have winded him a little!
Replacing Sneijder should allow the away side to utilise some extra fresh legs in midfield, as Schalke have had it far too easy in this second half - especially down the wings. Neither Eboue or Riera have showered themselves in glory.
Melo handballs in the penalty area, with the goal-line assistant a metre away from the incident, but the official chooses not to point to the spot! The Brazilian had his hand raised above his head, he's a very lucky player indeed!
Galatasaray have gone from being content to defend, to being caught in two minds. Another away goal would seal progression for the Turkish side, but to concede again would see Schalke go through in their place!
DRAXLER! Phenomenal play from the home side! The youngster and Bastos combine brilliantly, playing two one-two's before the 19-year-old rifles an effort at goal from just outside the box! Muslera palms it away!
Hoger whips a ball into the box, but Muslera claims the ball brilliantly. One of few things he's done convincingly tonight, the Gala keeper hasn't had the best performance of his career, by all accounts!
SNEIJDER! The Dutchman goes close! The ball whistles millimetres wide of Hildebrand's top corner! So very close!
Goal Michel Bastos
GOOOOOOAL! BASTOS CONVERTS! After Hoger hits the crossbar, the ball is spilled by Muslera, Pukki passes to Uchida, Uchida squares to Bastos and the Brazilian smashes the ball home!
Assist Atsuto Uchida
OOH! Magical stuff from Draxler! The youngster weaves past three defenders, sending them all totally the wrong way, before placing his eventual strike into the side netting! Very unlucky, that run deserved a goal!
With 60 minutes gone, this game looks to be quite firmly in Galatasaray's favour. The hosts have performed a little better in the second half, but are still lacking that cutting edge. Pukki is seeing more of the ball, as is Draxler, but Gala look comfortable regardless.
PUKKI! He's finally seeing some of the ball! After a really, really smart turn from the striker, he can only manage to trickle an effort at goal! It's not much, but he's looking much more lively in this second half.
PUKKI! The lone striker manages to engineer himself some space, before shooting towards Muslera's near post! The Gala keeper is equal to the drive however, palming it away!
Galatasaray are already forming an orange and red wall at the edge of the 18 yard box. Their players are acting as a shield, blocking shot after shot - Draxler being the latest man to be denied.
Greedy stuff from Pukki! The Finnish striker tries to shoot from a ridiculously tight angle, when Michel Bastos was calling for the ball at the back post! His Brazilian teammate isn't happy at all, he's bemoaning Pukki's poor decision making I'm sure!
YILMAZ! The goalscorer receives the ball from Altintop with his back to goal, before shifting the ball onto his right foot and smashing an effort at goal! Hildebrand manages to parry the shot out for a corner, that was a decent save.
Matip makes a vital interception to prevent Yilmaz from bursting through on goal yet again! The eight-goal man has looked extremely dangerous today.
Fuchs launches in a long throw-in, but his delivery falls to the head of a defender, rather than a blue shirt. Pukki really has struggled to impose himself, Dany and Semih have been relatively untroubled.
Schalke patiently build up an attack, with Fuchs stabbing the ball through the Draxler in the opposition area, but the youngster miscontrols. The hosts haven't struggled when moving the ball around from flank to flank, but in and around the box they have had some problems.
Schalke win an early corner, after work down the left from Fuchs, but the set piece fails to beat the first man! Poor delivery. The hosts have looked quite toothless so far.
And we are back underway for the second half! Schalke players and fans alike realise the magnitude of the task ahead of them, let's see if they can mount a famous comeback!
We are moments from the restart, be sure to tweet your thoughts on the first half and your predictions for the second half to me on Twitter: @simonhfootball. The second 45 minutes should be interesting!
That was quite a half, Galatasaray looked to have spurned some good quality chances in the opening ten minutes, but now they're in the driving seat! Schalke will need a big, big second half performance to overturn this deficit, especially without Huntelaar leading the line. Bastos and Farfan will have to be the German club's saviours..
There's the half time whistle! Schalke now face a massive task in the second half, after conceding two away goals in the opening 45 minutes! An opening goal from Neustadter was met with a quickfire double from Altintop and Yilmaz - the Turkish giants have the advantage now!
45' + 2'
Schalke go close again! Bastos uses his trickery to beat Eboue, before the Brazilian feeds Draxler in behind. The ball is deflected behind for a corner! Muslera claims the set piece at the second time of asking.
45' + 1'
Ooh! Chance for Bastos! A long throw is flicked on by Hoger, before the ball falls to the Brazilian winger. He gets his shot off at goal, but it's straight at Muslera!
The home crowd are getting a little bit restless, although the away fans are in phenomenal voice! I think the team in blue are a little shellshocked, the game has been turned on its head in a matter of minutes!
This game has been totally turned on it's head! Schalke now need to get two goals without reply, if they are to progress! No extra time is required now.. this game will end at 90 minutes.
Goal Burak Yılmaz
GOOOOOAL! BURAK YILMAZ! The striker picks up his eighth goal of the competition, and what a great time to score it! The Turkish frontman races clear, beating Howedes for pace, before lofting the ball over Hildebrand and into the back of the net!
Galatasaray have moved the ball around brilliantly in the centre of midfield at times. Schalke aren't able to do anything to stop the away side when they're in full flow! This game is too tightly contested to call!
Galatasaray finally have something to show for their work! Now they have an away goal, everything is levelled up! That goal was brilliant, by the way, definitely worth watching a few times!
Assist Selçuk İnan
Goal Hamit Altıntop
GOOOOOAL! ALTINTOP! The ex-Schalke player has just scored an absolute beauty! His first for the club! He has just scored a 35 yard screamer, which strikes the inside of the post before nestling in the net! GREAT goal!
Neustadter is now down injured, after landing awkwardly on his shoulder, following a clash with Altintop. He looks in pain, but you can already tell that the last thing he wants to do is be substituted!
SNEIJDER! Eboue cuts the ball inside to Sneijder after a driving run, the Dutchman strikes it first time with his instep! The ball curls narrowly over the bar, with Hildebrand merely a spectator! Very close!
Ooh, now it's Galatasaray's turn to make an error! Burak Yilmaz is found wide on the right flank after a lovely lofted pass from Selcuk, but miscontrols the pass. His poor touch allows Kolasinac to block the cross!
Oh dear! Schalke again miss the chance to put in an accurate cross! Neustadter finds himself out wide, with Pukki gesticulating wildly for the ball, but the Finnish player pulls back to find space - whereas the goalscorer puts the ball across the six yard box!
Drogba has returned to the field, despite some grimacing, and looks determined to continue this match. Without Drogba, the visitors would be lacking a bit of physical presence upfront.
Hoger dives into a challenge with Drogba, and catches the Ivorian, who requires medical attention. The referee chooses not to show the midfielder his second yellow card, however.
Yilmaz hasn't enjoyed the early stages of this game, he's complaining about being tugged around by his marker!
Dany makes a vital interception for the visitors! An elaborate flick from Bastos plays Draxler in behind the Galatasaray defence, but the youngster's cross is cut out by the defender!
Sneijder has the opportunity to deliver a free-kick from a dangerous area, but he fails to beat the first man! How wasteful! Selcuk then smashes the rebound high and wide.
A host of chances for Galatasaray! Drogba lofts a cross towards Burak Yilmaz on the penalty spot, but his fellow striker can't direct his header goalwards! Melo then attempts a long-range effort, but he sees it blocked by an onrushing Schalke defender!
Oooh! Pukki! The Finnish striker bursts down the left side, beating Eboue with a body feint, but then fires his effort straight at Muslera! It was all so good, until the finish!
Farfan whips in a free-kick delivery from deep, but Drogba is on hand to rise highest and clear the ball from danger with his head! Despite their early chances, Galatasaray have nothing to show for their bright start..
Ooooh, Schalke almost manage to create another goal, moments after taking the lead. Farfan drives well down the left again, but Dany manages to head the ball clear of the danger zone!
Goal Roman Neustädter
GOOOOAL! NEUSTADTER! Muslera flaps at a corner delivery and the midfielder smashes the ball home! Schalke lead!
I certainly didn't think that the away side would have so many chances in the opening fifteen minutes! Schalke are yet to really test Muslera in the opposition goal, whereas Hildebrand has had plenty to keep himself busy with.
Yellow Card Marco Höger
OOOH! Selcuk goes close! Drogba plays a brilliant reverse pass to play the Turkish midfielder into the Schalke area, but he can't manage to get any power on his effort! Hildebrand pushes the ball away, and Uchida clears the rebound!
Matip races towards the front post, rising high to meet a corner delivery, but he can't manage to keep his effort down - that wasn't ever troubling Muslera.
An entertaining start to the game! Galatasaray certainly aren't afraid to push men forward, with the trio of Sneijder, Drogba and Yilmaz camping in the opposition half, while Schalke's right flank looks particularly vibrant thus far.
Bastos whips a great cross field ball across the field to find Pukki, but Riera manages to rob the Finnish striker of the ball. That was good defensive play from the Spaniard, if Pukki had been given some time on the ball, it could have been very dangerous.
Now Bastos fires an effort towards goal, after good hold-up play from Pukki, but Muslera is able to grab hold of the ball! End to end stuff so far.. both teams look likely to get on the scoresheet.
The away side have certainly had the better of the opening exchanges, and Drogba looks hungry for a goal already! Schalke need to be wary!
DROGBA! The ex-Chelsea man strikes again, smashes a drive towards Schalke's near post, but Hildebrand turns the ball behind for a corner! Great start here!
Oooooh! DROGBA! After Burak Yilmaz felt he was pulled down by Kolasinac, the rebound falls to Drogba from 18 yards out! The Ivory Coast international lashes at the ball, but sees his effort fly harmlessly wide! That was a good opportunity!
Another stat for you all, Schalke's 19-year-old advanced midfielder Julian Draxler has already picked up 100 appearances for his club. He's another danger man for the hosts, he's picked up a few goals recently.
Ooh, Altintop has the first shot for the visitors! The ex-Schalke man has a pop from range, but it doesn't trouble Hildebrand whatsoever. Positive intent, but poor execution from the midfielder.
The atmosphere is deafening inside Veltins-Arena, and the home side have started with intent. Draxler and Farfan have already seen touches of the ball, with even Muslera being pressured early on. The combination of Farfan and Uchida was useful versus Dortmund, let's see if they can replicate their form tonight!
And we are underway! Remember, the aggregate score is 1-1 from the first leg, meaning that the advantage is Schalke's due to Jermaine Jones away goal!
The teams march out onto the field, with the Champions League anthem ringing out in the cold evening air! We are minutes away from kick-off!
Spirits are high in Gelsenkirchen, as Schalke dispatched their rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at the weekend, enjoying probably their best performance of the season. Galatasaray suffered a defeat in their last match, which might have hindered their momentum a little, but I'm sure both sides will be motivated for this Champions League affair!
STAT: Schalke have scored in every single one of their Champions League outings this season! However, without Huntelaar leading the line, do you think that the German side are capable of continuing this run? Tweet me at @simonhfootball, and let me know your predictions for tonight's game!
Galatasaray starting line-up: Muslera; Eboue, Semih, Dany, Riera; Hamit, Selcuk, Melo, Sneijder; Drogba, Burak Yilmaz.
Schalke starting line-up: Hildebrand; Uchida, Howedes, Matip, Kolasinac; Michel Bastos, Neustadter, Hoger, Draxler, Farfan; Pukki.
TEAM NEWS: After picking up an injury during Bundesliga action at the weekend Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is out for the hosts, with Finnish frontman Teemu Pukki deputising for the Dutchman.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I will be the man keeping you up to date with proceedings in Germany tonight, as Schalke look to continue from their weekend derby day victory over Borussia Dortmund, with a win against Galatasaray. The away side are boasting some big names however, with both Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba involved.
Hello, and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of tonight's Champions League encounter between the Bundesliga's Schalke and Turkish giants Galatasaray! The aggregate score is level before tonight's match, as the sides previously drew 1-1 in Istanbul!
