Pulled off some good saves in the first half to deny Zarate, Hernanes and Kozak, but had two bad moments as well. First when he was out-jumped by Kozak just before half-time and nearly cost his team a goal, and again for the penalty when he was fooled fairly easily by Hernanes. Had a good game besides that.
Horribly timed sliding tackle for the penalty for Lazio. Besides that, the Brazilian was rock-solid tonight.
Very committed and concentrated at the back tonight. Made a few good headers and was impressive with his positioning.
Struggled with the pace of Zarate for some periods, but made a few decisive tackles as well. Should take some blame for the penalty for Lazio as well as he put Juan under pressure.
Had a few problems with Kozak in the first half, but the same can be said for Kozak as well. Worked hard as always and provided the cross that led to Lichtsteiner's hand ball that led to the penalty, which resulted in the opener.
Very hard-working, but very little in terms of end product. His contribution tonight was not one to remember at the end of the day. Replaced at half-time.
Chased shadows for most of the first half, but improved greatly after the break and netted the winner. Most strikers would be proud of such a finish.
D. De Rossi
Drew a lot of fouls tonight, looked comfortable in possession, but overdid things at times as he lost the ball on a couple of occasions, trying to dribble past multiple players. Had very little support in the first half, but grew into the game after the break.
Pretty bad in the first half and not much better after the break. Was overran in midfield by Ledesma and Brocchi. A night to forget for the midfielder.
One could hardly tell if the was on the pitch. The sight of him being outpaced, out-jumped and out-muscled by Lazio's centre-halves in the first period was pretty bad.
Took his penalty well, but offered fairly little besides that as he was left pretty much on his own in attack in the first half. Overshadowed by Vucinic after the break.
Deputised well for Muslera tonight. Pulled off some good saves in the second half after a very quiet first period. Could have probably done better for Borriello's penalty, but was completely helpless against Simplicio's strike.
Just why he stretched his leg in the 77th minute and gifted the ball to Simplicio is anyone's guess. Had a fairly poor game in defence and especially after the break when he was ran over down the flank by Menez.
Rock-solid at the back tonight. Caught by surprise by Menez's blistering pace a couple of time after the break, but was dominating again soon.
My heart stopped for a second when I saw him landing on his neck in the 39th minute, but in the end he was fine. Very solid tonight and made sure Borriello and Adriano were marked out of the game. Had a lot of trouble with Menez and Vucinic after the break, and should take some blame for Simplicio's decisive goal.
Was pretty hard-working tonight in both halves and will be disappointing for him that he conceded such a penalty. Provided some good crosses and was rock-solid at the back.
Played pretty well in the first half, but his level of performance somehow dropped after the break as frustration began to take toll.
He took his penalty well, but looked very frustrated at times and it seemed like he lacked motivation. Made a few wonderful passes, including the through-ball for Zarate in the build-up to the conceded penalty by Juan for a horrible sliding challenge on the Argentinian striker. Played a good ball for the chance for Sergio Floccari in the 78th minute.
Had a pretty average game. The ex-Boca Juniors man was not inspiring in defence and offered fairly little in attack, too.
Dominant before the break as he displayed marvellous work-rate and some great tackling. Had some troubles after the break with Roma's pacy attackers, but was soon on top again.
His poor first touch let him down quite often in the first half and he did not really improve after the break. Wasted a great chance in the 20th minute and had trouble dealing with Juan and Mexes. Replaced by Floccari after picking up an injury.
Showed great running and dribbling tonight and gave much trouble to Burdisso tonight. Won a penalty for his team and looked very lively in attack.
- P. Castellini
Came on at half-time and completely changed the game. His pace and guile were too much for Lazio to handle at times, who were getting accustomed to the snail pace of Adriano. Crucial role for the goal that gave Roma the lead for the second time as he managed to draw most of Lazio's defence all on his own.
Had a few very nice runs and inserted much needed pace in the attacking line. Almost scored in the 82nd minute with a low shot, which Berni somehow managed to palm away.

Looked lively in attack, but once again his finishing let him in a crucial moment. Had a great bicycle kick fly wide of the left post in the 78th minute and caused trouble for Juan and Mexes with his technique and pace.
