The Italy international was at the heart of everything that was good for Roma tonight. Won the penalty that led to the first goal of the game although he did his best to sell it to the referee when there didn’t seem to be much in it. Almost scored a wonder-goal in the 69th minute which Perrotta scored from the ensuing corner. One of his best performances of the season.
A low key performance from the former Palermo man but an effective one nonetheless.
Roma’s leading scorer had an excellent chance to add to his personal tally but Agazzi kicked out his low drive in the 39th minute. Made way for Vucinic in the 67th minute after failing to make his mark on the match.
An inspired display from Roma's talisman. Made no mistake from the spot to give the Lupi the lead in the 22nd minute and was a threat whenever he had the ball.
Blew hot and cold tonight. Went the wrong way on the penalty but made made an excellent kick-save to keep his team in the game in the first half. Spilled Juan's weak header to gift Perrotta an easy tap-in which effectively put the match to bed.

The diminutive dynamo almost opened the scoring in the seventh minute and was Cagliari's most dangerous player tonight.
The Belgian battled in the midfield trenches and picked up a booking for his troubles. His decision making was poor this evening,
The former Italy U-21 star was unable to trouble Julio Sergio.
Was willing to drop into midfield to help his team-mates out but failed to test Julio Sergio even once and was unsurprisingly subbed off in the 65th minute.

Time wasting substitution.
Couldn't quite pull off an audacious lob in the 84th minute but his lovely through ball led to Menez's goal in injury time.
Roma were buoyed by Ranieri's double substitution as the Frenchman ran riot and added his name to the score sheet with an excellent goal in stoppage time.
