Did well in a rare performance, and will surely realize that he won't get many more. Showed good command his area, and showed his bravery going into a 50-50 determined to win the ball.
Nothing noteworthy tonight from Carvalho. Did his job well, and didn't need to do anymore. Read the game, and came out of the defensive line when needed. He marshaled the rearguard superbly with an inexperience 'keeper behind him.
Usual bustling self, moved up and down his flank continuously. More assured in defense, never looking troubled and held his runs when needed to - good signs of maturity.
Solid. In the most extreme sense of the word, nothing rattled his cage tonight as he showed his dominance in the air, on the ground, and in reading the play.
Weakest link in Madrid's defense as he was troubled by the directness of some of Getafe's attacks. Recovered well in the second half and contained his attacking bursts.
Dominant in the middle of the pitch as he marshaled the area in front of his defense. Broke play up well and pushed the ball around the pitch.
Fantastic game from the German, who was at his most creative. Sent the cross in for the first goal and then found Ronaldo for the second. Kept on probing Getafe's defense and showed immeasurable class.
His pass for Benzema's goal was breath-taking, and he did it all night. Had a powerful shot tipped away by Ustari as the midfield general put in one of his more impressive performances of late.
Á. di María
Ran direct at the Getafe defence whenever he had the ball and put them under real pressure. Knew when to release the pass but in a game where everyone was having fun, he failed to be clinical with his chances.
Hat-trick hero again, broke all sorts of records tonight. One brilliant header, one well-taken finish and a cheeky 'Panenka' penalty. He could have had more, was played in by Adebayor just before his hat-trick but took too long on it. Although he didn't match his four goals from the weekend, he looked more menacing.
Quiet night from the frontman, although it wasn't a struggle as he got into the positions and hustled the Getafe defenders but there was just something that wasn't quite right with him tonight. He seemed off color.
Produced some stunning save late on to deny any further damage to his side but could be considered at fault for Ronaldo's second goal when he didn't command his area. Could do very little about the other goals.
With his side struggling to gain a foothold in the game he decided to venture forward; as a result when he or his teammates lost the ball Madrid targeted his vacant area and created several scoring opportunities.
Strong in the air, and as a result Madrid opted to play the ball into feet. Higuain got away from him several times in the first half and Diaz allowed the Madrid attackers too much space.
Unable to come to terms of the game as he struggled physically with the pace of Madrid's passing, and the speed of their movement. He was turned on too many occasions and let too many low crosses into the penalty area.
Showed some strong touches but when he was put under pressure he was unequal to Madrid's flair and creativity. Was beaten by Ronaldo in the air for the first goal and put his side under constant pressure when he gave away needless free kicks.
Gave the ball away which lead to the first Madrid goal, and in a game like this the first goal is the most important. Looked to spread the ball early but was overrun by the energy of Alonso and Diarra. Had a great chance to equalise but fluffed his effort, putting it well wide. Substituted after 64 minutes.
Gave the ball away on too many occasions, and did so around his own penalty area which invited more pressure on his side. Substituted after 71 minutes.
Broke up play well at times, reading the passes from Xabi Alonso. Was guilty, too, over gifting possession back to Madrid with loose passing. Failed to track Mesut Ozil. who was the creator for his side.
Looked to attack, one of the few Getafe players who did. Tried to send crosses into the danger area but more often than not they were not accurate, or there was nobody to aim for. Wasteful on the counter account.
Struggled to impact the game and couldn't be the flair player that Getafe needed. Failed with his small defensive duties, too. Substituted at half-time.
Had a bullet header brilliantly blocked late on in the first half, and was credited with efforts on goal - even if they were infrequent. Offered himself constantly, but had little service.
Late change as Jose Mourinho opted to test his back-up goalkeeping options for next season.
- 19 E. Garay
- 18 Albiol
- 11 Granero
- 21 Pedro León
Was everywhere when he came on, always probing and working to win the ball back. Opted to square the ball for Ronaldo, who was in search of his hat-trick; attributes of a real team player.
Wonderful goal, his first touch controlled it, his second buried it. And those were his first and second of the match. Showed strength, and held the ball up well. Surprisingly formed a positive partnership with Adebayor; bit late now though.

Late introduction, but with the score at 2-0, Getafe still had a chance to stage a comeback. Failed to add to the attacking threat, and wasted the ball when he did get on it.
Looked to come on to tighten the midfield, but failed to do so, and with Madrid playing as is was it was always going to be difficult to succeed.
Failed to add to his eight goals, and never looked like doing so. Nothing to do with lack of his effort, but the service was never there in a game where Getafe was dominated.
