    FULL-TIME: Paris Saint-Germain 1-2 Stade Rennais
  • 90' + 2'
Into the second minute of injury time. Three have been signalled. Ibrahimovic's header is saved by Benoit Costil.
  • 90'
ALEX! Hit the bar! Lovely cross from Maxwell on the left, and he picks out Alex who has been a massive threat aerially this evening. The defender slams his header off the woodwork!
  • 89'
A very tame end to this evening's game. Normally, PSG would be throwing the kitchen sink in order to preserve a long standing home record. No such urgency tonight, as another cross is delivered waywardly.
  • 88'
With the Ligue 1 title already won, the Hexagonal trophy will NOT be presented to night. No celebrations have been planned. These have been deferred until the final home game of the season against Montpellier HSC in 10 days' time.
  • 86'
IBRAHIMOVIC! From distance, the Swede lets rip, attempting to catch Costil unawares. It's at an awkward height for the goalkeeper also, who is forced to palm it away.
  • 84'
Incredible result for Rennes if they hold on. Montanier has rung the changes, with one eye on the supposed relegation six pointer against Sochaux at the weekend. But his young charges are on the edge of a superb result, rendering the importance of the weekend's game as useless. They must hold on, though.
  • 83'
Seven minutes to go for les Parisiens to try and recover the deficit. Ibrahimovic gets in front of the last defender Boye, but fires a tame shot towards Costil. He was offside anyway.
  • 83'
SUBSTITUTION - Rennes: Ntep is off, replaced by Romain Alessandrini.

TOIVONEN! Oh what a chance! Rennes have a fantastic opportunity to finally put this one to bed. Ntep hits the counter, picking out Pajot, who in turn locates the Swede who has beaten Matuidi. But he fires way over the bar.
  • 79'
Rennes doing their bit to limit the PSG influence, but they have rarely ventured past their own half. Not even Ola Toivonen, the striker is pushing forward. He remains back to aid his side's defensive responsibilities.
  • 77'
Paris Saint-Germain still labouring their way to the finish here. The Ligue 1 title was won before kick-off after Monaco's draw to Guingamp. But they cannot put the icing on the cake, as Maxwell's cross is easily cleared away.
  • 75'
For Rennes, it is imperative that they sit on their lead and not concede. Three points would be invaluable in the fight against relegation as well as ease the pressure after their Coupe de France loss.
  • 73'
Seventeen minutes to go at the Parc des Princes. Former PSG captain Mamadou Sakho is here, as are legends Luis Fernandez and Ludovic Giuly. Can PSG put in a final push to recover the deficit? They are still 1-2 down.

  • 67'
CONTROVERSY - Matuidi is furious at the referee. After Rennes clear the ball off the line, Matuidi picks up the loose ball but is upended by Bagayoko. Referee Antony Gautier looks to award the penalty, but he races away. PSG are incensed.
  • 66'
CONTROVERSY! YELLOW CARD- Blaise Matuidi. For dissent at the referee. Paris Saint-Germain have every right to feel aggrieved here. Off the line, and a penalty appeal denied, despite the referee putting the whistle in his mouth.
  • 65'
And Ibrahimovic slams it into the wall. But PSG recover possession in the final third as the ball finds Pastore inside the penalty box, but lifts it over the bar.
  • 64'
OUFFF! Vincent Pajot is lucky to stay on here after a crunching tackle on Yohan Cabaye. Free-kick 30 metres out. Ibrahimovic ready to take this.
  • 62'
PENALTY? NO! The referee Antony Gautier instead awards a free-kick the other way! Javier Pastore is pinned down in the box by Sylvain Armand, but the referee inexplicably, gives the decision the other way.
  • 61'
Lucas in the mood, oozes class when he dribbles so effortlessly past defenders. The victim now is John Boye, but the right-back recovers to deflect the ball away.
  • 60'
Fantastic pass from Thiago Silva to pick out Javier Pastore on the edge of the box. Not a particularly great piece of control from Pastore, but he does float it towards the centre, across the face of goal. Headed away by John Boye.

SUBSTITUTION - PSG: Thiago Motta departs, replaced by Lucas Moura
  • 58'

  • 54'
Costil's been in fine form for the Bretagne outfit, making a couple of important saves. Didier Deschamps names his FIFA World Cup squad on Tuesday evening. Can Costil make a late charge?
  • 53'
Yohan Cabaye attempts a pop from distance, but the former Newcastle midfielder cannot trouble Benoit Costil, who has made a good save down low.
  • 51'
Good movement from Ezequiel Lavezzi who attempts to latch on Blaise Matuidi's searching pass. Just a little too early from the Argentine who is restricted by the offside flag.
  • 50'
A ROAR goes up at the Parc des Princes as Zlatan Ibrahimovic begins his warm-up on the touchline. "Zlat is BACK" is the chant going up in the capital. The talisman has been sorely missed.
  • 49'
CAVANI! PSG have spurned two opportunities in the last two minutes. Cavani strikes wide in front of goal, before a hurried effort flies wide to the right of Benoit Costil's goal. CLOSE!
  • 48'
Title facts: PSG as it stands, with two games to go have 83 points to their name, a Ligue 1 record they set last year with 83 points after 38 games. It is by all means, a record-breaking team that has been assembled in the capital.
  • 46'
UNDERWAY in the second half in Paris. Rennes get us going, in their change strip of all white. They are attacking from right to left.
  • The teams are out for the second half. Kick-off is imminent. No changes to report.
  • HT: PSG 1-2 REN - the fans have booed off the players at the break. It seems that money does indeed not buy you happiness. But in truth, it was a half where PSG oozed complacency and a lack of focus. They started well through Lavezzi, but goals from Kadir and Ntep put Rennes in the driving seat.
  • 45' + 1'

Continuing boos from the PSG fans who are unhappy with the team's lax attitude to the game. Despite 69% possession, they are struggling to break through at the moment. This is a team that struggles with complacency.
  • 40'

  • 37'
If Rennes manage to hold on, winning for the second time in a row at the Parc des Princes, it would confirm their survival, barring a major goal swing. A perfect tonic for the side who were met by angry supporters in training on Monday.
  • 35'
Rennes advancing with power and precision, in what has been a good recent period for them in this fixture. They have a 100% on target rate, compared to PSG's 22%. Ntep and Kadir with the goals.
  • 34'
Lucas Moura watches on from the substitutes bench, but the winger does appear disconsolate. This afternoon, he was omitted from Brazil's World Cup squad by Luiz Felipe Scolari.
  • 33'
All open now at the Parc des Princes. PSG applying the pressure as Alex fails to connect with a header after a corner. The ball falls to Pastore on the edge, and he hits an effort using the outside of his boot. It goes over.
  • 32'
ALEX! What a save by Benoit Costil. PSG are looking to issue a response. Alex hits a powerful effort from just inside the box, and it is tipped over by Costil, who is having an incredible season.
  • 30'
PSG's last home league defeat came in November 2012. Against who, I hear you ask? It was Rennes. The score was 1-2, and les Rouge et Noir, then under Frederic Antoinetti played with nine men for the majority - and still held on!!
  • 29'
PSG fans booing what they are seeing. Their team are league champions, but the Parisiens are a demanding bunch. A fantastic free-kick from Ntep, and they are in front. What a turnaround!

GOAL! PSG 1-1 Rennes - FOUED KADIR! The on-loan Marseille winger equalises! The Parc falls silent, before boos emerge at the ease in which PSG were caught napping at the back. The ball falls to Kadir on the edge of the area. Takes a touch, before firing into the net, deflecting in off the defender.

As we experience a lull in play, some more title statistics. Laurent Blanc is the second French coach to lead PSG to the Ligue 1 title, after Gerard Houllier in 1986. Artur Jorge (POR) and Carlo Ancelotti (ITA) were the other two.
  • 20'
Party football for les Parisiens in the final third. Rennes' full-backs offering no resistance, as was the case in Saturday's cup final defeat to Guingamp. Matuidi drills in a cross towards Cavani, who controls first, before teeing up Pastore, but Houtondje recovers.

Paris Saint-Germain have now won the Ligue 1 title four times, leveling with OGC Nice. 1986, 1994, 2013 and 2014. They are still well behind Lyon - 2002-08, Marseille - nine titles, and Saint-Etienne - ten titles.

  • 9'
This match has a practice feel to it. No points needed for PSG, they will finish first, they have sealed the Ligue 1 title. It's an exhibition as Lavezzi and Cavani combine, before Cabaye smashes an effort off of Doucoure.
  • 7'
Nelson Oliveira latches onto an inviting pass from Vincent Pajot through the middle, but he is stopped by the defender Alex, to a round of applause from the Parc faithful.

Ironic that the man caught in defence - Sylvain Armand - is a former PSG legend, making the second most appearances in the club's history. He helped the club win the title last season.
  • 4'
Poor moment for Stade Rennes, who have been exposed from the off. Woeful moment at the back, and it has been punished by a fervent PSG side who want to put on a show for their fans.

GOAL! PSG 1-0 Rennes - LAVEZZI! A horrific moment for the Rennes defence, as Sylvain Armand dallies on the ball. Cavani dispossesses him, finds Lavezzi, who finishes it off past Benoit Costil.
  • 2'
WIDE! Corner to PSG in the early stages, inswinger towards Ezequiel Lavezzi, but the Argentine cannot divert his header accurately, as it flies wide of Benoit Costil's goal.

UNDERWAY IN PARIS! The newly crowned champions kick-off, hoping to put on a performance for their fans. It is they who start, attacking from right to left.
  • A celebratory atmosphere inside the Parc des Princes, as the teams come out. PSG's players are sporting wide grins, they are - as of ten minutes ago - CHAMPIONS OF FRANCE!
  • PSG ARE CHAMPIONS - Laurent Blanc's men now sit seven points clear with three games to play. The first of which is about to kick off. The Parc des Princes is in party mood. Parisiens et champions!
  • PSG ARE CHAMPIONS - We have the weird situation of proclaiming champions ahead of a live commentary. But PSG have won the title after Monaco's 1-1 draw with Guingamp. They kick off in seven minutes!
  • FULL-TIME: Monaco 1-1 Guingamp - PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ARE CHAMPIONS OF FRANCE AGAIN!!!
  • Fans at the Parc des Princes have let out a roar of approval after news of Monaco's score with Guingamp filters through. Over in the Principality, Guingamp are down to ten men. Less than four minutes to go.
  • GOALFLASH: Monaco 1-1 Guingamp! The Coupe de France winners have struck back with minutes to go at Stade Louis II. Can they hold on? If they do, PSG will be champions before we get started at the Parc des Princes!
  • GOALFLASH: AS Monaco 1-0 Guingamp - Berbatov! The challengers have taken the lead in a bid to delay the PSG title party. If the result stands, a win will do for les Parisiens this evening.
  • TEAM NEWS: Rennes name six players who started in Saturday's final on the bench, including key stars such as Romain Alessandrini and Ola Toivonen. Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes a welcome return, albeit only on the bench. Lucas and Verratti are also among the subs, whereas birthday boy Jeremy Menez is left out altogether.
  • PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN: Sirigu – Jallet, Alex, Thiago Silva, Maxwell – Cabaye, Motta, Matuidi – Pastore, Cavani, Lavezzi
  • STADE RENNAIS:  Costil; Hountondji, Boye, Armand, Moreira; Bakayoko, Pajot, Doucouré, Ntep, Kadir; Oliveira
  • CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
  • With 25 minutes left to play at Stade Louis II - Monaco are being held 0-0 by Guingamp, a result that will hand the title to PSG.
  • Philippe Montanier's men are not completely safe from relegation, though depending on tonight's result, a point would do. They face fellow relegation strugglers Sochaux at the weekend, in a game that Montanier might be instead focusing on.
  • Stade Rennes meanwhile are in a downward spiral. The Breton club lost Saturday's Coupe de France final to local rivals EA Guingamp at the Stade de France. It was les Rouge et Noir's third cup final defeat in five years, a record that club president Frederic Saint-Sernin labelled as 'shameful'.
  • Indeed Lucas Moura was reportedly, and understandably visibly upset at news of his World Cup omission. The Brazilian winger is named on the bench this afternoon, and not among the starters as expected.
  • For Paris Saint-Germain, there was news of a double success this afternoon. Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari named his final squad for the FIFA World Cup next month. Maxwell and captain Thiago Silva are included, the former somewhat of a surpise inclusion. However, Lucas Moura was a shock omission.
  • The latest score at Stade Louis II is Monaco 0-0 Guingamp. That result would see PSG clinch the title before kick-off at 21:00 CET. They've just started the second half in the Principality, and we'll be bringing you the latest score also.
  • But Laurent Blanc's men can win the title in the next 40 minutes, before kick-off at the Parc des Princes. Monaco, their nearest challengers take on shock Coupe de France winners EA Guingamp at Stade Louis II this evening. If Monaco fail to win, the title is already heading to the capital.
  • Paris Saint-Germain are one win away from the Ligue 1 title. Win tonight, and they seal their fourth domestic title in history, and the first to secure back-to-back successes since Olympique Lyonnais in 2008.
  • Good evening and welcome to LIVE! coverage of tonight's Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade Rennais at the Parc des Princes in Paris. I'm Mohammed Ali, and I'll be taking you through proceedings.
