K. Gameiro 65'
A very nervy encounter for the hosts to endure, but they've done it. They certainly did ride their luck against Reims, who perhaps should've come away with a point. It's finished 1-0 in the capital.
90' + 3'
Yellow Card Florent Ghisolfi
90' + 3'
FULL-TIME: PSG 1-0 Stade de Reims - Carlo Ancelotti's side go top of Ligue 1!
90' + 3'
Ghisolfi booked for a lunge on Ibrahimovic, holding him down but the Swede powers past him. The referee has spotted it, and holds the yellow card aloft.
90' + 2'
Time winds down, and PSG are a minute away from going top of Ligue 1 on goal difference from Marseille. Can they hold on?
THREE ADDED MINUTES at the Parc des Princes.
Free-kick to Reims after Matuidi is booked for a poor tackle. Toudic shoots, and Sirigu pulls out a great catch to deny Reims once more!
MENEZ! It's wide again! He is in a one v one situation, and endures his second howler in a minute. Turns Agassa, but lobs the ball over the bar. Poor attempt, this game should be over.
Yellow Card Blaise Matuidi
MENEZ! What a miss. What a miss. Alongside Ibrahimovic, the winger was in a two against two situation against Tacalfredi and Weber. The Swede selflessly squared for the substitute, but his lob went surprisingly wide.
TOUDIC! Fantastic scissor kick and OFF THE BAR! An audacious acrobatic effort is run into the ground by the substitute, and bounces up and off the crossbar, with Sirigu beaten. What a story that would've been if it was in.
Van der Wiel attempts to find Ibrahimovic with a cross from the right, but the referee calls offside. Bit strange that one, not offside at all.
Menez' progress is curtailed by Krychowiak who has looked rather efficient in midfield, alongside Ghisolfi. The Polish midfielder stops the winger from seeking out an attacking opportunity.
Final substitution from Les Parisiens as Mamadou Sakho is suffering from what looks like a hamstring problem. Replaced by Sissoko.
Mohamed Lamine Sissoko
Reims are on the counter, as Ghilas races away, attempting to find Courtet. Souare takes possession of the ball, and it's well blocked by Sirigu.
IBRAHIMOVIC! Good save by Agassa, as the Swede prolongs his frustration in front of goal. Threaded in by Menez, his low shot is blocked by the goalkeeper.
Injury Mamadou Sakho
COURTET! Oh my word, just wide. Just wide. Fantastic cross in by Souare, as Courtet sneaks in behind Sakho. Sirigu at full stretch there. Reims' golden opportunity is spurned.
Reims have a corner, with Diego's first delivery calmly deflected away by Sakho. The second attempt fails to find a team-mate, and its played all the way back.
Substitution for PSG: Goalscorer Gameiro is replaced by Christophe Jallet.
TOUDIC! Already a chance for the substitute who fires from distance, with Sirigu having to see the ball nervously over the bar.
Final substitution from Reims as Glombard is replaced by ulien Toudic.
Armand keeps possession and maintains it in the hosts' favour as Reims seek an equaliser. Not exactly the Champagne football, but Hubert Fournier's men have equalled PSG for much of the game. Can they sneak an equaliser?
The visitors are now being unravelled with the hosts reinvigorated by the roar emanating from the stands. Substitution by Reims - Ghilas is on for Devaux.
Agassa was riding his luck throught the game somewhat, but failed to keep out that attempt as Les Parisiens seize the advantage.
Goal Kevin Gameiro
GOOAALL!! Paris Saint-Germain take the lead! Kevin Gameiro notches his third goal at home in two games, as he rises highest to meet Van der Wiel's cross and nod past Agassa. The goalkeeper fails to keep it out. 1-0.
MENEZ! FANTASTIC EFFORT! OFF THE POST! That's the second time that the woodwork has denied the hosts. Menez gets past his marker well, advancing down on goal, and his powerful effort slams against the post with Matuidi scuffing the rebound.
Menez has taken position on the right wing, and gradually increasing his involvement in the game. Souare has a real job to do in containing the winger.
IBRAHIMOVIC! Oh, the frustration grows. The Swede is again unchallenged aerially, but heads wide once more. Really needs to be testing Agassi once more.
Substitution: Ca is replaced by Ghisoulfi, with the latterhaving half an hour to make an impact.
The high-flying visitors continue to frustrate PSG as we approach the hour mark. Glombard tackles Armand, and we have a substitution on our hands.
Ibrahimovic's poor show continues as he jumps highest to meet Armand's cross from the left, but the header flies way over the bar.
MATUIDI! Against the bar! Fantastic shot, under pressure from about four defenders, with Agassa well beaten.Denied by the woodwork!
Ibrahimovic looking a tad isolated up front, after receiving little to no service, with the resolute Reims rearguard (alliteration!) holds sway. The Swede is forced to come get the ball about 40 yards from goal.
Reimes undone Menez, who calmly paces away from Ca, before allowing Thiago Silva to shoot, and fire well over the bar. Hubert Fournier's men do need to focus as the game progresses.
Gameiro gets past Mandi, his marker, and scythes a shot across goal.Should've worked the goalkeeper a bit more there. A good chance goes begging.
SAKHO! Headed wide. Great delivery from the right as the corner is met by the PSG captain, who nudges his effort inches wide. Agassa had to watch that all the way.
Almost a chance early on in the second half for the hosts as Agassa is forced into a save down low..
Substitution: Nene did not recover sufficiently from his concussion in the first half, and has been replaced by Menez.
UNDERWAY IN THE SECOND PERIOD! PSG attacking from right to left in this period.
Players are out for the second half, and we have a substitution to bring you.
HALF-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 0-0 STADE DE REIMS
Reims have arguably been the better of the two sides, but the visitors did indeed miss a penalty. and perhaps should've been in the lead had it not been for Salvatore Sirigu's brilliance between the sticks. PSG lethargic up front.
45' + 1'
Another corner for the visitors, to the edge of the area, and it's headed back into the box. Maxwell clears. The second set-piece fizzles out as Sirigu punches away.
Glombard is on the attack here, as his first time cross meets the head of Devaux. Cross is returned once more, and Sakho handles, but gets away with it. MADNESS!!
ALEX! The Brazilian gets on the end of the Nene free-kick, and it's well saved on the line by Agassa.
Yellow Card Grzegorz Krychowiak
Hubert Fournier is not happy with that, and remonstrates at the fourth official. Free-kick to PSG about 35 yards out. Nene is over it.
Ancelotti will be relieved, but the hosts are very much reinvigorated after that penalty save from Sirigu. Edging towards the interval, and Thiago Silva goes down under the challenge of Krychowiak.
IT'S SAVED! Fantastic effort by Sirigu who palms away the penalty, which was shot with aplomb by Diego. The Italian dives to his right, parrying the bouncing ball away.
Missed Penalty Diego
Penalty save Salvatore Sirigu
Yellow card also to Van der Wiel for that handball. It's Diego to take the penalty.
What a bit of controversy here as Gregory van der Wiel handles a ball into the box. Fair call, but Ancelotti is furious. Benoit Bastien points to the spot and the visitors have the perfect chance here.
Yellow Card Gregory van der Wiel
PENALTY TO STADE DE REIMS!
Some rain falling in Paris as we approach half-time, making the pitch more slippery and prone to misplaced passes. Nevertheless, we continue as Thiago Silva gently knocks the ball towards his defence.
Ibrahimovic catches out Souare, who goes to ground immediately. Earlier, Armand's cross was subsequently deflected off Tacalfredi with the referee waving away a penalty appeal.
Gameiro unfortunately caught offside, as he once more finds space behind the visitors' defence. Referee gets that one spot-on.
Thiago Silva picks out Van der Wiel on the right, and his deflected cross off Pape Souare is caught by the goalkeeper.
Still some uncertainty about the formation PSG have deployed here. Six defenders, out of the ten recognised in the first team are playing. Armand is at LB, with Thiago Silva and Maxwell advanced to join Matuidi in midfield.
Poor Nene, he is off the pitch once more for medical attention as the Brazilian is still feeling the effects of concussion after an earlier collision.
GAMEIRO! CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Fantastic by Weber who races behind his goalkeeper to get the ball away just before it crosses the line. PSG protest, but there was nothing there. Great by Weber. Gameiro did well to get into position to create the chance though.
DIEGO! Oh, how close was that? Fantastic run in from the right hand side, and the pull-back fails to find a team-mate before the rushing Devaux gets a touch onto it. Sakho deflects away. Had there been a team-mate in time, Reims could've taken the lead there.
With Marco Verratti suspended, it's THIAGO SILVA who is being deployed as the main man to supplement Ibrahimovic from midfield. The Brazilian is unusually deep, but his perfect lob to find the Swede sees the 31-year-old fire just wide.
Courtet launches a speculative attempt from about 25 metres out, doesn't trouble Sirigu one bit, as the Italy international picks up the ball easily.
Reims doing well in countering the PSG threat as we move towards the midway point in the first half. The visitors settling into their rhythm well here in the capital.
Moment of peril for Agassa as Gameiro rushes towards the goalkeeper and slide-tackles thin air hurriedly as the goalkeeper kicks the ball clear.
PSG threatening now on the wings, with Armand overlapping on the far side. Ibrahimovic gets possession, but a little clip by Mandi gets the ball away from him.
Appears that Nene is somewhat concussed, and the hosts are temporarily down to 10 men as the Brazilian is checked out
Bit of insight into Reims striker Gaetan Courtet - who is in for the suspended Nicolas Fauverge. The 24-year-old was out because of testicular cancer this time last year, but after a round of treatment, he returned to football to help Reims' successful promotion charge. Has four Ligue 1 goals already this season. Inspirational.
Nene is down after barging into Diego, and the Brazilian is holding his face. Not much in that, at all costs.
COURTET! Oh, just over the bar. Inches in that one. Fantastic movement by the number 18 who darts in from the left and shoots just over the bar, with Sirigu at full stretch.
Free-kick also afforded to the visitors, but Diego's speculative cross in is well dealt with. Reims are in the ascendancy here.
Ibrahimovic stands over the free-kick, and after his successful attempt against Marseille, you would be forgiven in thinking that the Swede would replicate the same here. Doesn't get past Krychowiak.
At the moment, it's PSG who enjoy 66% possession in comparison to Reims' 34%, but the visitors have enjoyed more territorial advantage in the opposite half, as a wayward shot from Devaux goes over the bar.
MAXWELL! Good attempt, and it's patted down by Agassa easily. PSG struggling a little to penetrate the visitors' penalty box at the moment, but it's early days.
Corner crossed in poorly by Nene, but it isn't a problem as the ball is subsequently delivered towards the far post, with Souare able to head away.
Ibrahimovic showing his fantastic strength by holding off Gaetan Courtet who can only go to ground as the big Swede powers through the field. Armand's cross in is cut out by Weber, and the hosts have a corner.
DIEGO! Superb shot, and a fantastic parry by Sirigu who clears the danger with a stooping save to his left. All Reims at the moment at the Parc des Princes, as the defence fails to negotiate the visitors' blistering shots.
GLOMBARD! Oh, fantastic cross, and misses Courtet by an inch, as Sirigu is forced to punch away. Acres of space for Glombard on the left wing.
Crunch moment for the hosts as Diego surges forward for the visitors. Matuidi at the back deals with it accordingly, but Hubert Fournier's men will know that they have nothing to lose.
Meanwhile, back on the pitch, it's a subdued opening by PSG as Matuidi pings a ball into the box, and it's well dealt with by Pape Souare.
Rafael Nadal soon after taking the kick-off: "I like the Parc des Princes, it's a fantastic atmosphere. I wish Paris Saint-Germain all the best"
After Nadal, it's Gameiro who takes the kick off, and we are underway in Paris - the hosts attacking from left to right in this first-half.
Bit of a treat for many fans here at the Parc des Princes - the ceremonial kick-off will be done by tennis superstar, and French Open king Rafael Nadal!
The teams are out, and handshakes taking place. This afternoon's referee is Benoit Bastien.
STADE DE REIMS XI: Agassa, Tacalfredi (c), Mandi, Weber, Souaré, Glombard, Krychowiak, Devaux, Diego, Ca, Courtet
PARIS SAINT GERMAIN XI: Sirigu; Van der Wiel, Alex, Sakho, Thiago Silva, Maxwell; Armand, Matuidi; Nene; Ibrahimovic, Gameiro
TEAM NEWS: A surprising PSG line-up meanwhile, as Carlo Ancelotti has opted for SIX defenders to start the game, in what appears to be a defensive 4-3-1-2 formation. Ancelotti has one eye on the Champions League trip to Zagreb in midweek. Reims meanwhile, have only one change. Striker Gaetan Courtet has replaced suspended Nicolas Fauverge.
Reims meanwhile, are the surprise team of the division. Promoted last season, they are sixth, just two points behind the capital side, and have nothing to lose in their first top-flight game in Paris for more than 30 years.
PSG will be hoping for an improvement having failed to win their last two games in all competitions. Last time out, they played an entertaining 2-2 draw against Marseille, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a double.
