TFC stormed back from two goals down to earn a draw against the Timbers in Portland. Marosevic scored on his debut and DP Koevermans completed the comeback.Toronto FC had it all to do after Jack Jewsbury's 57th minute penalty put the Canadian club down two goals in its match Saturday night against the Portland Timbers. But TFC came rushing back, scoring twice in the final 20 minutes and walking away with a 2-2 draw.
Eddie Johnson opened the scoring for the home side in the 23rd minute, finishing a right-footed effort after being set up by Diego Chara to give Portland the early lead, and the Timbers looked well on their way to victory after Chara was taken down down in the box and Jewsbury put away the spot kick.
But in the 71st minute Peri Marosevic gave the visitors a lifeline when his hit from outside the box found the lower corner of the goal. TFC finished off the comeback with a goal 10 minutes later. Danny Koevermans continued his good form with a strike from a Joao Plata cross to even things back up and give the match its final scoreline.
