Canada never really threatened. Quiet night for Meijia.
Was a solid presence at the back. Cool in possession.
Most of Panama's attacks came down to the right-hand side where Chen was always looking to get forward from fullback and overlap with Jimenez.
Very tight in his marking. Never gave Haber an inch. Very good performance.
Didn't get forward all that much, although his long throws caused a problem or two. Did well defensively.
Lively, but generally had a hard time connecting with his teammates, especially when making late runs from deep. Subbed off in the 89th minute.
Was fairly quiet on the left-hand side. Missed Panama's best chance in the first half to put the Panamanians in front, but his shot went over the bar.
Misplaced a lot of passes. Was often outrun in the centre of the park. Had the best chance in the game to score after a poor Morgan clearance, but his shot just swerved over the bar. Subbed off in the 73rd minute.
Found himself in some good spots on the right side of midfield, but his distribution was poor. Had a great shot parried by Borjan in the second half.
Held up the ball well, but was never really dangerous, except for a header that just went wide from a corner kick in the first half.
Failed to have any impact on the game. Doneil Henry had his number. Subbed off in the 76th minute.
Made a great save on Jimenez in the second half, but otherwise didn't have a whole lot to deal with.
Another very strong performance from Edgar and played some impressive passes forward out of the back.
Faultless performance. Had Blackburn's number all game. Won just about every aerial ball that came his way.
Had a couple poor clearances which almost cost Canada, but he generally did okay, especially as Panama was very busy down his flank. Made some decent runs forward.
Never had an impact offensively and didn't offer much defensive help either. His free kicks were menacing against Mexico but they were poor for the most part on the day. Subbed off in the 81st minute.
M. de Jong
Was never really a threat, but worked tirelessly in midfield. Subbed off in the 65th minute.
J. de Guzmán
Another good showing from De Guzman. Covered ground in midfield and was quite crisp in possession.
Didn't get on the ball as much as he did against Mexico. Was invisible at times.
Quiet but positive performance, kept Sanchez in check.
Took the place of Piette in midfield and showed some good passing and close control. Came off in the 58th minute.
Wasn't as threatening as he was against Mexico. Often caught between two defenders. But not easy being the lone striker when there's no one to give you the ball.
