That's all that we have time for from Estadio El Sadar, we hope that you have enjoyed our live coverage of Osasuna's famous 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time.
An uninspiring performance from the visiting side, who never really got going, despite a mild resurgence in the last quarter of an hour, when Osasuna dropped off. A well-drilled and carefully carried out gameplan from the hosts was enough to subject Atletico to even more league misery.
FULL TIME! La Liga's second-placed side crash out 3-0 in Pamplona, with Osasuna scoring three first-half goals to frustrate Atletico. Goals from Cejudo, Armenteros and Roberto Torres were enough for the home side, while Los Rojiblancos fail to capitalise on the chance to move three points ahead of Barcelona.
90' + 1'
Juanfran cushions a smart cross square across goal, looking for Diego Costa, but Flano does well to divert the right-back's delivery over the crossbar - before the resulting set piece ends in nothing. Oier gives Diego Costa a light slap on the face, deliberately trying to wind up the striker.
Two minutes of stoppage time have been awarded at the end of this second half.
KOKE! The young midfielder is fed the ball by an unselfish flick across goal by Diego Costa, after a clever scoop over Flano by Raul Garcia. Fernandez is equal to the half volley directed towards goal by Koke, much to the delight of the home support.
The atmosphere inside Estadio El Sadar is deafening, with the home fans already celebrating a famous victory against a team from the capital. Diego Simeone's side continue to look for an opening for a consolation goal, but it's not forthcoming. Fernandez punches away a Juanfran cross.
Flano heads away a dangerous Atletico corner delivery, and the home side have been incredibly well drilled from dead ball situations tonight. As well as being focused while defending, the hosts did open the scoring with an ingenious set piece too, inevitably practiced during this week's training.
Raoul Cédric Loe
Osasuna are using the final ten minutes as a chance to give their top performers a standing ovation, this time it's first goalscorer Cejudo who is taken off. Loe is the replacement, and he'll be expected to help his side harry and press, to force them over the line towards a famous win.
DIEGO COSTA! The bullish striker twists and turns in the penalty area, before shifting the ball onto his left foot while six yards from goal. His finishing touch escapes him though, blasting over from close-range. Diego Simeone applauds his striker vociferously.
RAUL GARCIA! Diego Costa plays a crossfield ball to Arda, before the Turkish substitute slips Raul Garcia in behind the Osasuna defence. It's from a tight angle, but the midfielder blasts an effort towards goal, with Fernandez able to stand tall and deflect the ball away.
Loties takes his leave from the field, and the central defender looks exhausted, as well as picking up some kind of stomach injury. He receives a standing ovation, and so he should, he's been immense, keeping Diego Costa in check all game.
JUANFRAN! Great work by the full-back! He drops a step-over to beat Lolo, before stepping wide of Silva. He blasts a shot at goal from ten yards out, with Fernandez able to beat the strike away from danger.
RAUL GARCIA! The substitute is found by an overhit back post delivery, throwing a leg at the ball to divert it back across goal. The ball from Koke wasn't great, but Raul Garcia did the best he could with it, looping his effort over Fernandez and wide of the far post.
Diego Costa is now being roundly whistled by the home support following his diving antics. Arda Turan picks up possession 25 yards out from goal, shifting the ball onto his right foot, before arrowing a strike over the crossbar. He apologises to his teammates, but he's been more positive than the vast majority.
Loties continues to act as a colossus at the heart of the Osasuna defence, with the Frenchman's pace and power being the undoing of Diego Costa tonight. The Brazilian tries to dive on the edge of the penalty area, when faced with a red and blue wall, but the referee doesn't buy it for one minute. Great decision!
CEJUDO! The goalscorer hits the side netting, after another good break from the home side! Torres hooks a lofted ball over Alderweireld and Filipe Luis to Cejudo, but his eventual half volley can only be rasped wide of the near post.
Twenty minutes left on the clock, and Los Rojiblancos look nowhere near capable of grabbing two goals, let alone the three required to gain merely a point. Atletico are looking low on ideas, pumping the ball forward, which is exactly what Loties and Arribas want.
Atletico are looking very pedestrian, and the realisation that they're not getting back into this game appears to have hit both Simeone and the players. Torres tries his luck from range, but the ball arrows terribly wide of the target.
ARDA! The substitute cuts in from the right, and despite Diego Costa's cries for the ball, tries to shoot from 20 yards. The shot cannons into a ruck of Osasuna defenders, before the second ball is cleared. Gracia's men certainly have the measure of Atletico tonight, with Oier beginning to wind up Diego Costa too.
CEJUDO! The busy midfielder is fed the ball in the centre of the field, before side-stepping his man and looking to try his luck from 25 yards! It bobbles harmlessly wide, with Courtois presumably raising an eyebrow at the audacity of such an effort.
There is more of a sense of urgency since Atletico have brought Arda onto the field of play, with the Turkish forward looking to press forward and be positive with every touch. Osasuna are really trying to slow the game down and break play up, but remain solid. Arribas is again on hand to head away a visiting free-kick.
Half an hour remaining to play, and Diego Simeone has definitely shown his hand now, bringing on Arda Turan and Raul Garcia in quick succession. The former used to ply his trade in this very stadium, and the stage looks set for the midfielder to kick-start Atletico's night.
Juanfran has no pity for his former club, with the Atletico right-back claiming that Osasuna are trying every trick in the book to break up the momentum of the game. Based on the fact he just made a challenge where no contact was made with Torres, but the Osasuna man went down as though he'd been shot in the leg, the Spaniard may have a point.
Since Diego Ribas has joined Atletico once again, the visitors haven't managed to register a victory in the games he has started, but have won three matches after the Brazilian has been introduced from the bench. Perhaps the former Wolfsburg man should have been left as a game changer for tonight's clash.
LOTIES! That was almost an extraordinary own goal! It slices off the shin of the Frenchman, as Filipe Luis' delivery looks to test the Osasuna lines. Fernandez was helpless, and very glad to see the ball loop wide of the far post.
Good defensive header from Arribas on two occasions, with the central defender rising well twice in quick succession to direct crosses from the left hand side, away from Diego Costa. Osasuna continue to look very solid, with Atletico unable to part the red and blue lines.
Atletico's substitutes are all being engaged in a thorough warm-up by one of the visiting fitness coaches, and it's clear that Simeone isn't pleased with the catalyst of Koke. Diego Costa and David Villa have been wholly anonymous since the restart.
Osasuna continue to compete, with Cejudo winning a free-kick in midfield, after spinning away from Diego Ribas brilliantly. Though Atletico have seen a lot of the ball since the second-half has begun, Simeone still needs to look to his bench to try and swing the momentum firmly in his side's favour.
Atletico elect to knock the ball out of play, as Cejudo looks to take a blow to a rather sensitive area, and might need a few moments to get his breath back. Koke gestures for the Osasuna midfielder to get back to his feet, but Cejudo is taking his time. Raul Garcia begins to warm up for Atletico, meanwhile.
Osasuna have also made a half-time substitution, with Oier coming on to replace Marc Bertran at right-back. The hosts look to be keeping up their tenacity and intensity, pressing Atletico and forcing the visitors back into their own halves, conceding throw-ins deep in Atletico's territory.
Mario Suarez leaves the field after his first-half yellow card, with Koke coming on to replace the Spaniard. Atletico need to start the second half well - if they can grab a goal early on, there's a chance that Simeone's men could look to steal back a point from Osasuna.
We're back underway in the second half, with Simeone presumably blasting his side in the dressing room during the break, following a very lacklustre first half. Only a few players have looked at their best, with the usually energetic and seamless Atletico pressing machine looking defunct. Osasuna will be hoping to remain organised and solid in the second period, with Gracia very proud of his side.
Conceding three goals in the first half is a feat which Diego Simeone is alien to as manager of Atletico, with the visitors last conceding this many goals in the opening 45 minutes back in 2011. There is an element of collapse about Atletico's performance, despite the fact El Cholo's side have been resurgence in recent weeks. Join us again in ten minutes for the second half, as the away side face a mammoth task to get any points out of this match-up.
The only way that tonight can get any worse for Atletico, is if Diego Costa picks up a yellow card in the second half. Should the striker pick up a booking, he'll be banned for the Madrid derby next week. Osasuna are in dreamland, but they'd be naive to count their opposition out of the game entirely, a three-goal come-back wouldn't be beyond Atletico, especially considering their bench.
Clinical stuff from Osasuna, who have really struggled for goals all season. The Pamplona-based side have managed an average merely a goal per game all season, but find themselves in an unprecedented three goal lead. This game looks beyond Los Rojiblancos, only a handful of players have shown up on the field today.
HALF TIME! Osasuna leave the field to a standing ovation, firing three goals past Atletico in the first half! This is looking to be a nine point weekend for Real Madrid, with first Barcelona and now Atletico looking to be dropping three points! Goals from Cejudo, Armenteros and Torres have given Gracia's men a commanding lead!
DAVID VILLA! Diego clips a ball over the Osasuna back four, but the Spain international can't stretch quite enough to flick a volley towards goal. The disbelief on the faces of all of Atletico's players shows how this game is panning out.
That was terrible defending, stemming from Diego Ribas giving possession away in midfield, and Osasuna just keep pushing forward! This is the first time that the visitors have conceded three goals in a La Liga game, and Diego Simeone looks angry and absolutely inconsolable.
Goal Roberto Torres
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! IT'S THREE FOR OSASUNA! A near post header from Roberto Torres finds its way through Courtois at the front post! This is absolutely unbelievable, Atletico look dead and buried before the break! Good header, what a game!
Five minutes until the break, and a goal before heading back to the dressing room would be invaluable for Atletico. So many players aren't contributing as they should, through a mixture of poor service and more desire from Osasuna. Usually, it's Los Rojiblancos who set the tone, but they've been second-best to this Basque side tonight.
The home fans are incensed with the referee's decisions to allow Mario Suarez to get away without another booking, before Diego Costa deflects the ball out of play, but the linesman awards Atletico the throw-in. This arena is certainly an intimidating venue for tonight's game.
Mario Suarez throws himself into another aerial challenge, and the Osasuna midfielder doesn't help the Atletico man's cause, rolling on the floor rubbing his head. There wasn't a great amount of contact, and Simeone will have thoughts about subbing off Suarez, he could find himself on the end of a dismissal sooner rather than later.
OFFSIDE! David Villa is slid through on goal by a good pass from Gabi, sending the former Valencia striker into a very promising goalscoring position. Fernandez races out and brings down the Atletico man, but the linesman has his flag raised. It's a very tight decision, with Diego Costa the man who was definitely off.
Yellow Card Mario Suárez
Poor work from Filipe Luis! Atletico work the ball across the field, with Diego Ribas having to stand firm in the face of some very brutish challenges. The Brazilian left-back miscontrols, giving possession away, forcing Mario Suarez into a cynical challenge which he gets booked for.
Diego looks to wriggle free of three marks on the edge of the penalty box, but he's eventually robbed of the ball by Damia. Atletico are struggling, with the home side packing the breadth of their area with bodies. They're looking incredibly hard to play through, forcing Atletico into long and complicated passes.
Great ball in from Filipe Luis! Arribas slides in to turn the cross over the bar, right in front of his own goalkeeper, with Diego Costa lurking in behind. The resulting set piece is cleared brilliantly, and Osasuna continue to look quite solid. Their central defensive pairing are working excellently.
The opening half an hour have been a treat for anybody connected with Osasuna, Barcelona or Real Madrid, as Atletico are really struggling to get a firm foothold in this match. The tempo isn't as high, and the pressing isn't as consistent from the hosts, but Atletico still can't carve out any good chances. The away side whip in a free-kick, great delivery from Gabi, but Mario Suarez can't slide to turn the ball home.
Another half chance for Diego Costa, but Loties deal with the 25-year-old once again! Arribas is then on hand to direct another cross away from the danger zone, before another Atletico corner is claimed by Fernandez. It's just not working in the favour of the visitors at the moment.
DIEGO COSTA! A warning sign for Osasuna! The bullish striker picks up a pass from Villa on the edge of the box, but the Atletico man fails to hit the target! He has Fernandez scrambling across goal, but the strike whistles wide of the upright!
David Villa curls a cross towards the back post, and the delivery is sliced away for a corner, awfully! Luck is on the side of Osasuna, though, and Fernandez is able to claim the set piece delivery. Diego Costa goes down in the area, under pressure from Loties, but there was nothing in that.
Atletico look to be asleep, with only Filipe Luis, Diego Costa and Diego Ribas looking awake and raring to go. David Villa has barely touched the ball, as well as falling asleep while completing his defensive duties from corner situations. Barcelona fell to Real Sociedad yesterday, and it's looking like Los Rojiblancos will end up the same way tonight!
What a strike! Juanfran gives Armenteros too much time, allowing for the forward to cannon a left-footed strike off the inside of the near post. Atletico look mortified, with Diego Costa shaking his head, as though he can't believe what he's experiencing tonight.
GOOOOOOOAL! WHAT A STRIKE! COURTOIS ISN'T SAVING THAT! ARMENTEROS BLASTS OSASUNA INTO A TWO GOAL LEAD! La Liga's second-placed team look shellshocked, as the Argentine forward blasts the ball into the top corner from 30 yards!
ARMENTEROS! Another set piece off the training ground from the hosts, who pass the ball along the floor to the corner of the six yard box, inviting Armenteros to run onto the low delivery and fire it towards goal first time. However, he can only fire into Mario Suarez, though it would have gone wide of the post.
The home fans remain in good voice, seemingly believing that their side have more than a slight chance of getting some points out of this game. Alderweireld is forced to head behind for yet another Osasuna corner, as more red and blue shirts continue to loiter in the penalty area.
The victory in Milan seems a long time ago now, with plenty of work to do in this game for Atletico to turn it around. Diego Costa is bullish as always in the final third, before cutting the ball back to Diego Ribas, who cannons a 25 yard strike into the body of Silva.
Juanfran is found by an excellent long pass down the right flank by Gabi, but the former Osasuna full-back is robbed of possession. Los Rojiblancos are being strangled and suffocated, and the accusations of midweek football affecting Simeone's side will inevitably start to materialise.
The home fans call for a penalty, but the referee waves play on, as Diego hooks away a clearance with a questionably high foot. Gracia has definitely sent his side out with the aim of frustrating and winding up La Liga's second-placed side, but Atletico are slowly getting a foothold back in the game.
At long last, Atletico manage to press out of their own half, but Adrian gives possession away. The visitors are definitely rattled here, it's normally Simeone's men who set the tempo, but Osasuna have gotten under their skin from the very off.
Great defensive header from Mario Suarez! The defensive midfielder does brilliantly to divert a cross away from the six yard box, with two red shirts lying in wait behind him! If the Spaniard didn't manage to get a touch, that would have been a certain goal! Atletico can't get out their own half!
The home side continue to press on, and the fans behind Courtois' goal are really getting behind their side. Osasuna win another set piece, and I don't think that Atletico will fall for the same trick again, despite Cejudo continuing to lurk!
Well, nobody would quite have expected this start! Osasuna have gotten in Atletico's faces from the very start, pressing and looking to press forward quickly, and the intimidating atmosphere might be aiding the hosts too! Fans of Real Madrid and Barcelona will be watching on hopefully.
Goal Álvaro Cejudo
GOOOOOOAL! CEJUDO FIRES HOME AT THE BACK POST! That was a great set piece, and Courtois is beaten in the opening six minutes! The midfielder ghosts in, totally unmarked, and volleys the cross home beautifully, thrashing it beyond the Atletico keeper!
Great defending by Filipe Luis! He's on hand to stab the ball away from Roberto Torres, as the Osasuna forward bears down on goal! It goes behind for a corner, which is eventually turned towards goal via a back post header, but Atletico clear for another corner!
Good work from Filipe Luis! Villa releases the left-back with an intelligent flick, before the Brazilian looks to play the ball across the six-yard box. It flashes across goal, with Damia scrambling the cross away with Diego lurking behind him. Atletico break again, through Diego Costa, but the striker can only find Fernandez with a poor cross.
Osasuna have the first attempt of the game, but it's a mid-range volley that fizzes into the chest of Courtois. The young goalkeeper will be pleased to have got his first touch so early, that will certainly help him to settle down. It was Marc Bertran who took the shot on.
While Osasuna are often a tough team to visit, the home side have really struggled for goals this season. The entire squad have registered only 21 goals between them, while Atletico's Diego Costa has netted the same amount individually. The league table can be deceiving, as can be proven by how the top sides have struggled here.
We are underway in the first half! If Atletico are to fire themselves into the Madrid derby with plenty of momentum, Simeone's men can't afford to slip up tonight. Psychologically and in terms of points, Los Rojiblancos need a win tonight. Osasuna are relatively hard to beat at home, so the away side need to be wary!
With 15 minutes until kick-off still remaining, be sure to stick around for all of the action from Pamplona, as Atletico look to regain their form by achieving their third successive victory in all competitions. Recently, Osasuna have been beaten by Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao at home, but Gracia's men still pose a test for Simeone's energetic side to overcome.
With a win today, Los Rojiblancos can rise above Barcelona, and take their place alongside Madrid rivals Real at the summit of La Liga. Should Simeone's side win by a larger margin than five goals tonight, they'll replace Carlo Ancelotti's Blancos at the top outright. A victory for the home side would spell a climb towards mid-table mediocrity, with three points being enough for them to leapfrog Elche and Granada.
Atletico substitutes: Aranzubia, Koke, Raul Garcia, Turan, Rodriguez, Insua, Miranda.
Atletico starting line-up: Courtois; Juanfran, Godin, Alderweireld, Filipe Luis; Mario Suarez, Gabi; Diego, Adrian; Diego Costa, David Villa.
Osasuna substitutes: Asier Riesgo, Miguel Flano, Acuna, Nino, Oier, Lobato, Loe.
Osasuna starting line-up: Fernandez; Marc Bertran, Loties, Arribas, Damia; Cejudo, Lolo; Silva, Armenteros, Roberto Torres; Oriol Riera.
TEAM NEWS: Diego Simeone chooses to rotate somewhat, bringing Alderweireld into the centre of defence in place of Miranda, with Koke dropped to the substitutes bench in favour of Mario Suarez. Diego and Adrian start on the flanks, but the normal striking duo of Diego Costa and David Villa retain their places. The likes of Raul Garcia and Arda Turan are also on the bench.
TEAM NEWS: The hosts are missing Punal, De las Cuevas and Sisi through injury, with Javi Gracia setting his side out in a manner that should cause Atletico a few problems. Strangely, the club admitted that they don't intend on renewing the contracts of Lolo and Cejudo this week, but the pairing start tonight's game anchoring the midfield - perhaps Osasuna want them to prove their true worth.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I will be leading you through all of the action from Estadio El Sadar, as Atletico look to capitalise on Barcelona's 3-1 away defeat to Real Sociedad yesterday. Today's adversaries are still Basque, but should provide less competition, given their lowly 14th-placed position. Diego Simeone has named a very competitive side, and the onus is on the visitors to perform.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of La Liga's late kick-off, as Atletico Madrid travel to Pamplona to face Osasuna, with Los Rojiblancos chasing a victory which would see them climb three points above Barcelona. The hosts only sit four points above the drop zone, so this fixture could potentially have implications on both the title race and the relegation dogfight.
