That's all we have time for, we hope you enjoyed our live coverage of Juventus' late 1-0 Europa League win over Lyon in France, leaving the Bianconeri in a strong position for the second leg. I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you all again next time.
That makes it three defeats at home for Lyon, for the first time since the summer of 1997, although Garde will be able to take some positives from their late defeat. Bonucci capitalised on some poor attempted clearances from Gomis and Kone, but the Old Lady weren't vastly superior to their opposition as was feared pre-match.
FULL TIME! Juventus take home a slender 1-0 lead, taking an away goal in the process, leaving Lyon with a frightening visit to Turin next week. The home side weren't too bad, but just couldn't find the net despite having periods of possession. A game of impotency, with both strikeforces included in that criticism.
90' + 2'
Yellow CardMirko Vučinić
90' + 2'
What an awful cross that is! Lyon press in search of a goal that would change the tie somewhat, but the ball lumped into the penalty area from 30 yards out bounces out of play. Garde can be pleased that his side have looked reasonably solid, but offensively they've been lacklustre.
90' + 1'
Excellent clearance from Chiellini! The Juventus defender tracks his runner and ensures that a cross from the left hand side doesn't meet substitute N'Jie, nodding the delivery behind for a corner. Safety first for the Old Lady at this point.
We have three minutes of stoppage time at the end of this second half.
Giovinco has been causing all sorts of problems since coming on, scampering around the penalty area and frightening the Lyon defenders. Nobody wants to challenge him in fear of conceding a late penalty.
Only a few minutes remain for Lyon to find a very important goal! They can still throw the cat among the pigeons with a couple of away goals in Turin, but as the hosts average a goal per game in Europe, it would seem mathematically sensible to try and head to Italy on level terms.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! WE HAVE A GOAL AND IT'S BONUCCI! A Juventus corner avoids poor clearances from both Gomis and Kone, before Pogba is found at the back post! Mvuemba makes the block from the Frenchman's first attempt, but at the second bite of the cherry the defender rifles the ball into the roof of the net!
VUCINIC! WHAT A CHANCE! Giovinco works his way down the left flank brilliantly, before cutting a cross back to the corner of the six yard box. Vucinic is able to control the ball with his chest, but fires over the crossbar when it looked easier to score!
BRIAND! MALBRANQUE! The former is found at the back post, stretching to reach a back post cross and succeeding it cutting the ball back square into the box instead of letting it run out of play. Malbranque rises but can't make contact with the cut-back with his head, which would have turned the ball beyond Buffon from six yards!
A pitch invader makes his way onto the field, but the break in play is minimal as the pitch-side security detain their offender quickly. Chiellini shares a few jokes with the referee, but we're back underway quickly.
Ten minutes left on the clock and Juve look as though they're on the hunt for an away goal. Lyon break upfield, before Malbranque feeds Briand on the edge of the penalty box. Briand tries to find Gomis in space on the right hand side, but Chiellini is on hand to make a vital interception.
Lyon are much, much the deeper of the two sides, with the patterns of play beginning to mimic Les Gones shaky opening five minutes. But for one save, Lopes has been the goalkeeper most occupied, with Conte urging his men forward to grab a vital away goal.
Juventus are creeping back into their earlier dominance, with Pirlo getting a bit more space on the ball as tiredness becomes a factor. Giovinco goes down on the edge of the penalty area, but the referee waves away the diminutive striker's complaints.
A sign of intent from Garde, as Gomis is thrown into the fray, with the striker already having nearly 20 goals to his name for the season. He's had his injury problems, but could show that he's back up to match speed with an important goal tonight.
OFFSIDE! Briand is played in behind the Juventus lines by a deflected Mvuemba shot, but can't capitalise! It's a poor touch from the Lyon forward, before his second touch fires the ball beyond the near post and behind for a goal-kick. He's somewhat grateful to see to linesman's flag raised for offside on the far side.
Just to give an idea of why Tevez was on a one-man mission to score tonight, the Argentina international hasn't scored in European competition since April 2009, way back when he was in the colours of Man United. Meanwhile, Juventus press upfield, with Giovinco's cross almost met by an ambitious over-head kick by Pogba.
Good header from Kone! The Burkina Faso man rises strongly to meet a Pirlo corner delivery, as Chiellini and Bonucci threatened with their rather imposing frames! This game is yet to burst into life, neither side are looking too likely to open the scoring.
Yellow CardSebastian Giovinco
Yellow CardAnthony Lopes
Giovinco kicks the ball into an empty net, after the Juve substitute looked to impede the Lyon goalkeeper. Lopes reacts furiously, complaining of the challenge of a man who is about the same height as him while he's bent over holding his ribs in pain. Both players are booked due to their fiery reactions.
Pogba clips a fantastic ball over Bedimo for Isla to chase and the Chilean manages to beat Umtiti for pace. The former Udinese wing-back's second touch is heavy, however, allowing for Lopes to race out and smother the ball.
CHIELLINI! Giovinco receives a pass from Pogba, before playing a pass in between Bedimo and Umtiti for Chiellini, but the advancing central defender can only slide a low drive beyond the far post! Best chance for Juventus this half!
ASAMOAH! That's very close for the away side! Lopes is forced to palm away a smart cross from Giovinco, before the Ghanaian controls the loose ball. He tries his luck and his strike takes a deflection, bobbling beyond the far post with the Lyon goalkeeper scrambling across.
Conte makes his second change of the evening, replacing Osvaldo with Giovinco, with the former having an awful night. Goals have been few and far between for the former Roma forward, but his general contribution to the side isn't enough to justify his impotency.
Pablo Daniel Osvaldo
OSVALDO! Around an hour left to play and Lyon believe that they can get a result here. The home fans are being incredibly loud, but Pirlo looks to silence them with a clever ball into Osvaldo's chest. The loanee tries to fire beyond Lopes, but Umtiti slides in well to make the block.
PIRLO! GOOD SAVE ANTHONY LOPES! The experienced midfielder whips in an excellent cross, forcing Briand into meeting it, but the forward can't get enough on the clearance! It loops backwards, before threatening to end up inside the back post, but the Lyon keeper is alive to the threat and acrobatically beats the danger away!
GONALONS! The defensive midfielder fires a long-range effort at goal, but it's blocked well by Bonucci, who may not have known a great deal about it. Lyon are buoyed by the withdrawal of Tevez and with Malbranque manmarking Pirlo, the hosts have a real chance of getting a favourable result.
Tevez is substituted through injury for the visitors and it's Vucinic who replaces him. The Montenegrin made a good impact during Juve's 2-0 defeat to Napoli, with Conte hoping for his striker to have a similar effect tonight. Tevez will have to wait for a European goal once again!
Tevez flashes a snapshot towards goal, but it's comfortable for Anthony Lopes to deal with. The Argentine signals over the to bench to tell them of some discomfort, but the away side play on. A long ball is arrowed in the direction of Osvaldo, but Umtiti is able to beat the Italian in the air.
UMTITI! Great strike from the 20-year-old central defender! His 30 yard free-kick effort was arrowing in the direction of the near post, forcing Buffon to dive to his left smartly and push the ball away from danger! It was probably going wide, but the Juve goalkeeper had to make sure!
Another corner for Lyon, with Marchisio this time the man to nod the ball behind his own net. Juventus are finding it hard to clear their lines in the early stages of the second half, with Chiellini in particular committing two half-cleared headers which should have allowed the away side to push out.
MVUEMBA! The former Portsmouth midfielder tries an ambitious free-kick effort from 30 yards, but cracks his shot into the wall. Tolisso picks up the rebound on the right before whipping in a cross, but Chiellini is able to turn it behind for a corner.
No changes at the break, with the second half offering little in the way of possible change. Bedimo tries his luck ambitiously on the half volley from 30 yards, but Buffon is happy to watch the ball thud into the advertising hoardings.
We are back underway in the second half! No goals to speak off, but Lyon will be pleased if the scoreline remains the same. A slow first half will hopefully result in a more gung-ho second, should Juve want to take an away goal home with them.
Free-kicks and corners have been the main source of goalmouth action in a game where both sides have ultimately laboured in their search of the opening goal, but Conte has a few options to make things interesting. Llorente could restore the dangerous partnership between himself and Tevez, while Vucinic made an impact off the bench versus Napoli last time out. Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes as Lyon look to pull off an upset!
Garde will be pleased with what his injury-ravaged side have managed in this first period, pushing on from a negative opening five minutes and holding their own. It's all been very easy for Juventus, with close-range efforts from Briand and Malbranque capping the only passages of play which have troubled the away side.
HALF TIME! No goals in the opening 45 minutes, with chances few and far between for either side. Tevez has been the main driving force for Juve, with the combination of Bedimo and Lacazette forcing Caceres into some rash challenges on the left hand side. Both teams have sized each other up now, which should lead to more incisive action after the break.
Free-kick and corner deliveries remain the only source of opportunities for either side, in what has been a slightly frustrating first half. Neither side have managed to get into full flow. Bedimo tries his luck from 30 yards, but the Cameroonian's effort is deflected high into the air, before Buffon claims with ease.
Good header from Briand! The Lyon forward is back in his own area and rises brilliantly at the near post to divert Pirlo's corner delivery away from danger! The two sides continue to cancel each other out in Stade de Gerland, which Garde's men can certainly take some heart from.
Yellow CardCorentin Tolisso
Less than five minutes until the break and Lyon fail to capitalise on a big opportunity! Lacazette dances beyond Caceres once again, but the forward's sidewards pass to Mvuemba doesn't carve the visitors apart. Instead, the Old Lady remain firm, winning back possession before Malbranque commits a foul.
Tevez looks like a man on a mission, as the Argentine international looks to end his European goal drought. Whenever he receives possession, his first thought is to drive at his man, with his strength allowing him to bustle his way past a few challenges. No attempts as of yet, however, with a glancing header the best the 30-year-old has been able to muster.
Both set of supporters are being exceptionally vocal, despite the lack of quality on the field thus far. Juventus are looking to spray long balls forward through both Pirlo and Bonucci, but only the former has managed to penetrate the Lyon defence with an incisive pass.
Juventus begin to see a bit more of the ball, as the momentum in this match ebbs and flows. Lyon may regret not finding the net during their period of dominance, as Juventus won't be too forgiving. Tevez and Osvaldo haven't linked up too well thus far, but Llorente lies in wait on the bench.
Asamoah goes down after being caught by a poor challenge, with the Ghanaian receiving liberal amounts of the magic spray. Conte uses the break in play to give Marchisio some additional instruction, but Juve's wing-back looks as though he'll be fine to continue. After going off versus Napoli last time out, he'll be keen to stay involved.
A quarter of an hour until half-time and both sides have been able to cancel each other out effectively. As predicted, Lyon are struggling to click into gear offensively, while Juventus are merciless when protecting Buffon. However, 0-0 wouldn't be a bad result for the hosts to take to Turin.
TEVEZ! Pirlo is able to pick out a wonderful through ball, turning a 20 yard pass into the path of the Argentine, but Lopes is exceptionally quick off his line to smother the ball and take it away from the Juve striker.
BRIAND! SO CLOSE! A corner is whipped in, with Kone able to turn the ball back into the mixer, as the loose ball loops into a gap in between the players occupying the box and Buffon. Briand is the first man on the scene, but can only clip a clever effort over Buffon and onto the roof of the net from eight yards!
Good save from Buffon! The veteran shot-stopper's first touch is a strong hand to beat Malbranque's effort around the near post, after the Lyon midfielder managed to ghost beyond Pirlo and into the area!
Lyon continue with the theme of holding plenty of possession, but lacking the cutting edge or guile to turn it into chances. Juventus' back three are looking very comfortable, with the sometimes rash Caceres being their only potential weak point. Chiellini has been untested.
First corner of the game goes to Lyon, with Mvuemba the man to whip it in. Osvaldo is the man to meet it, with both himself and Llorente very useful in dealing with defensive set pieces for Juve. The home fans are getting behind their side and are outraged that Caceres doesn't receive a yellow card for a late challenge on Lacazette.
Bedimo is perhaps acting as Lyon's main threat at the moment, as the former Montpellier man isn't afraid to receive the ball and look to drive down the flank. Plenty of possession for the home side, but they're not threatening to hurt Juventus whatsoever.
Despite their dominant showing in the first five minutes, Lyon are making a fight of this match. The hosts aren't able to carve out any opportunities, but Garde's side are being much more daring. The minutes of sitting on the edge of the 18-yard box are long gone.
Bonucci tries his luck with a long pass from his own half, in search of the run of Osvaldo, who is playing on the last defender at the moment. The ball is well-weighted, but no contact can be made by Juventus' January signing, with Kone happy to let it run out of play for a goal-kick.
A quarter of an hour into this match and the hosts are beginning to find their feet. Buffon remains unchallenged in between the visitors' post, but the French outfit are pressing much higher up the field and looking to drive down the flanks to cause the Serie A reigning champions some problems.
OFFSIDE! Kone wins possession at the back post, after a free-kick was launched into Juventus' box from 40 yards out. Mvuemba won the flick-on, but his teammate was stood way offside as the looping ball made its way to the Burkina Faso international's feet.
Excellent defensive work from Malbranque, as the French midfielder tracks back brilliantly to dispossess the advancing Bonucci. The central defender made his way 15 yards into the hosts' half, but the former Fulham man stayed committed to his task.
Just as Lyon begin to edge upfield, Ferri gives away possession in the midfield third, almost allowing for Osvaldo to break. The presence of Gonalons forces the former Roma forward wide, however, defusing the situation. The Ligue 1 outfit are just starting to settle down.
Juventus are winning the ball back comfortably whenever Lyon embark on a rare break, with Caceres this time stepping in well. Lacazette looks to twist and turn, but the Uruguayan keeps his eye on the ball, outmuscling his marker before distributing his newly won possession to Isla.
The Old Lady still have the advantage, as Lyon continue to sit extremely deep, inviting pressure onto them. The left-hand side is being used with regularity, with Conte perhaps looking to isolate Asamoah against the inexperienced 19-year-old right-back Tolisso.
Lyon haven't been able to get out of their half too often in the opening minutes, though they still possess pace on the break in the form of Lacazette and Briand. The away side are in control, dominating possession and have had the only chances of the match thus far.
PIRLO! The veteran midfielder tries to fire a 25 free-kick under the wall, which he presumed would jump after watching his winning goal versus Fiorentina from the last round. It strikes the line of defenders, however, before a cross is whipped back into the penalty area from the right - which Tevez can only head wide of the near post.
Tevez is already providing the drive that Juve have been missing in recent games. The Argentine goes on an excellent run, before his mazy dribble is unceremoniously ended by Kone, who leaves the former Man City striker in a heap.
Good early work from Juventus! The ball is swept out to the left flank, before being controlled smartly by the awaiting Asamoah. The Ghanaian teases Tolisso with some step-overs and cut-backs, before his eventual cross from the byeline is stabbed away from danger by Kone.
We are underway in the first half! It's a great atmosphere here, with the home fans believing their side can progress based off a good home performance. Should the Old Lady net an away goal, however, it'd have to be conceded that the Italian side hold the upper hand heading to Turin.
Both teams make their way out of the tunnel and into the evening air and we are moments from kick-off! Once the pre-match nicities are over with, we can settle down into a very good game of football, with both teams looking to forget their league seasons. Juventus can take their foot off the gas courtesy of an eight point lead in Italy, while Lyon are simply looking to appease their supporters following another poor season where they will most likely finish fifth in Ligue 1.
While tonight's hosts are stuttering towards finding the back of the net, Juventus have been defensively resilient during their involvement, conceding merely once since their disappointing transition into the Europa League. Since 2009/2010, they haven't lost a match in this competition, leaving Garde plenty to think about before kick-off in a quarter of an hour. Be sure to stick around for all of the action, as the Ligue 1 outfit look to make the visitors work for their qualification tonight.
Lyon are unbeaten in five Europa League home games up to this point, winning on four occasions and looked to have struck goalscoring form at the right time. Four goals against Viktoria Plzen look to have set Garde's men in good stead for tonight's fixture, but Juventus have managed to surpass stronger adversaries on their route to the quarter final. Juve may be missing Vidal, but still have plenty of quality to hurt the hosts.
Juventus substitutes: Storari, Vucinic, Giovinco, Peluso, Llorente, Padoin, Lichtsteiner.
Juventus starting line-up: Buffon; Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini; Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah; Osvaldo, Tevez.
Lyon substitutes: Vercoutre, Zeffane, Sarr, Gomis, Danic, N'Jie, Fekir.
Lyon starting line-up: Lopes; Tolisso, Kone, Umtiti, Bedimo; Ferri, Gonalons; Malbranque, Lacazette, Mvuemba; Briand.
TEAM NEWS: Injuries to Angelo Ogbonna and Andrea Barzagli mean that Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres starts in defence, with Antonio Conte's faith shown in his replacement in the form of a recently renewed contract. Federico Peluso is also out through injury, while Arturo Vidal misses out through suspension following the accumulation of yellow cards he reached during the Bianconeri's win against Fiorentina. Mauricio Isla is preferred to Stephan Lichtsteiner at right wing-back, with Claudio Marchisio slotting into midfield in place of the Chilean. Carlos Tevez is once again up top, after missing out against Napoli through suspension, but the Argentine is surprisingly partnered with January signing Dani Osvaldo - Fernando Llorente takes a seat on the bench.
TEAM NEWS: Plenty of injury woes for the hosts, with Milan Bisevac, Gueida Fofana, Miguel Lopes, Mouhamadou Dabo, Clement Grenier and Yoann Gourcuff sidelined. Samuel Umtiti returns the action following a late fitness test, bolstering Lyon's defence somewhat. The prolific Alexandre Lacazette starts in behind fellow forward Jimmy Briand, with that combination being enough for Juventus' defenders to sit up and take note - this tie hasn't been won yet.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from this clash between two European giants, despite Lyon's recent decline from Ligue 1 title challengers. Against Italian opposition in the 1998/1999 campaign, Les Gones managed a 2-0 home victory versus Bologna, before being eliminated based on a 3-0 visit to Italy. Remi Garde's men are facing an entirely different machine this evening, however, with The Old Lady favourites to lift the trophy in their own stadium in the coming months.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of one of tonight's Europa League quarter finals, as Juventus travel to Stade de Gerland to face Ligue 1 outfit Lyon. The hosts are somewhat ravaged by injury and have reached this point of the competition averaging merely a goal per match, leaving them with a record to set straight this evening. The visitors are fresh off the back of a disappointing Serie A defeat to Napoli, leaving both outfits with supporters to re-inspire.
