  • One of the most one-sided games you'll see has finished with Juventus four goals to the good. I've been Alex Mott, thanks for joining me.
  • 90' + 3'
And that's it. The refree blows for full time, and the scoreline here at Stadio Silvio Piola is Novara 0-4 Juventus.
  • 90' + 2'
And with the very last action of the game, Giaccherini whips a ball in from the left. Elia is free inside the area, but he can't connect with the cross, and the ball goes out for throw in on the far side.
  • 90'
OHHHH. Pirlo curls it around the post, and with Fontana motionless, the ball clips the outside of the post, and goes out for a goal kick.
  • 89'
Garcia fouls Giaccherini on the edge of the Novara area, and the referee blows for a free kick.
  • 87'
The corner comes in from Pirlo, but it's gathered by Fontana as Chiellini challenges him in the air.
  • 86'
Elia looks desperate to show his worth here. He drives forward, and 30 yards from goal, smashes one towards Fontana's net. The shot though, is deflected wide by Lisuzzo for a corner.
  • 84'
Novara go in search of a consolation, as Pesce drives forward with the ball. He gets to the edge of the area, and strikes at goal. Buffon saves, fumbles and then gathers again.
  • 81'
It's Padoin this time to try and play in Elia. The pass though, is too long, and Fontana comes out and collects easily.
  • 79'
The corner's played short to Giaccherini, but it's wasted as Pesce comes out and tackles the Italian before he can gets his cross away.
  • 78'
OHHH. Nearly five!! Pirlo, on the halfway line, plays a ball through to Elia with the outside of his right foot. The Dutchman gets on the end of it, and once inside the area strikes at goal. Fontana though, comes out, and pushes the ball round the post for a corner.
  • 76'
The pace of this game has dropped completely now. Juve are just keeping the ball at will.
  • 73'
Pirlo has been majestic today. And he nearly shows exactly why, with a chipped through ball into the path of Padoin. Lisuzzo though, reads the pass, and head clear just in the nick of time.
  • 70'
Novara immediately break down the right, with Rigoni winning a corner for his side. The veteran takes it, and it's whipped in superbly for Paci to attack. The Italian gets a decent head on it, but De Ceglie is there to clear on the line.
  • 68'
Lichtsteiner surges down the right, and wins a corner off of Silva. Pirlo takes it from the right-hand side, but the ball is overhit, and Novara clear.
  • 67'
    SubstitutionAndrea Mazzarani Ivan Radovanovic
  • 66'
Juventus have looked worthy champions today, but Novara have been absolutely hopeless. No invention, no tempo, no nothing.

  • 64'
    Assist Emanuele Giaccherini
  • 64'
    Goal Mirko Vučinić
GOOOAAAALLL!!! And it's Vucinic with his second of the game!! Giaccherini, on the left-hand side of the area, cuts inside and gets his shot away. Fontana saves, but the rebound comes out to Vucinic, who slots it in for 4-0. Too easy.
  • 62'
De Ceglie comes on, and with his first touch, plays the ball off of Garcia so as not to concede a corner. Great defending.
  • 60'
    SubstitutionClaudio Marchisio Paolo De Ceglie
  • 59'
    Yellow Card Simone Pesce
  • 59'
Borriello goes deep for the ball, and gets it off Pirlo. He comes over the halfway line, but is pulled back by Pesce and a free kick os given to Juve.
  • 56'
    SubstitutionArturo Vidal Simone Padoin
  • 56'
Up the other end, and Novara win a free kick on the edge of the area. It's laid to Mazzarani, who strikes it cleanly. Buffon though, palms the ball away.
  • 54'
Garcia flies in on Vidal and then Lichtsteiner on the right-hand touchline, and the referee gives a free kick. Pirlo takes it, but plays it square to Marchisio. The Italian goes for a shot, but it's blocked by Porcari.
  • 52'
I cannot describe to you how one-sided this game is. Novara look like a side resigned to relegation.
  • 51'
    SubstitutionAndrea Caracciolo Takayuki Morimoto
  • 50'
    Assist Mirko Vučinić
  • 50'
    Goal Arturo Vidal
GOOOAAALLLL!!!! And it's Vidal with the strike that puts Juventus 3-0 up. Vucinic is played in on goal, but his shot is saved by Fontana. The rebound though, goes straight to Vidal, who slots the ball home from 12 yards.
  • 49'
OH DEAR!!! Vucinic plays Borriello in. And from six yards out, the Italian misses an absolute sitter. That is dreadful.
  • 47'
Rigoni, who was far and away Novara's best player in the first half, plays Gemiti in down the left-hand side. The number three though, is pulled back for offside.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionPablo Hernan Dellafiore Gabriel Silva
  • 46'
We're back. And it's Novara who will get us underway, kicking right-to-left.
  • It's been all Juventus so far, and they are certainly worth their two-goal lead. I'll be back in 15 minutes for the second half, but in the meantime, you can hit me up @alexjmott on Twitter with all your comments.
  • 45'
And that's it. The refere blows for half time, with the scoreline here in Piedmont: Novara 0-2 Juventus.
  • 44'
Juve keep the ball amongst themselves. Novara look like they want half time as sooon as possible.
  • 42'
That's two in two for Borriello, and an assist for Giaccherini, who's been excellent so far in this half.
  • 40'
    Assist Emanuele Giaccherini
  • 40'
    Goal Marco Borriello
GOOOAAAALLLL JUVE!!! And it's Marco Borriello with the strike!!! A cross from the left by Giaccherni goes all the way through to the far post, where Borriello is there to head in from four yards. 2-0. Game over.
  • 39'
Lichtsteiner comes forward for Juve now. Over the halfway line, he's fouled by Garcia and the referee gives a free kick. Pirlo steps over it, and whips it in towards the area. Barzagli gets his head on the ball, but his effort goes a mile over the bar.
  • 37'
Paci has it now for Novara on the halfway line. He looks long for Dellafiore down the right-hand side, but the pass is overhit, and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
  • 34'
Vidal tackles Porcari in the centre circle, and releases Vucinic down the middle of the park. The former Roma man then slips in Borriello on goal. The Italian though, takes the ball too far wide, and is eventually crowded out by three Novara defenders.
  • 32'
The first chance of the game for Novara, and it's Mazzarani with the effort. A briliant run and cross down the left by Rigoni sees the former Juve man put in a superb ball for Mazzarani at the far post. The striker gets up and heads at goal, but the header goes over the bar, much to Buffon's relief.
  • 30'
The sun's come out here in Novara, and Pirlo nearly brightens up the afternoon with a fantastic effort. The veterans strikes one from 30 yards, but Fontana plams it away, with a superb save.
  • 28'
Elsewhere in Serie A, Milan have just gone 2-0 up in the space of two minutes. Ibrahimovic and Cassano with the goals for the Rossoneri.
  • 27'
WOOOFFF. That would have been the Goal of the Season. Pirlo, on the edge of the area, plays perhaps the best pass of the campaign, as he flicks the ball over the head of two Novara defenders for Giaccherini to run on to. The former Cesena man then volleys at goal, but the shot goes just wide of the far post.
  • 25'
Borriello has it on the edge of the Novara area, and goes for a shot. The effort is blocked by Lisuzzo, who then clears the ball upfield for Mazzarani. The on loan Udinese man brings the ball over the halfway line, and just keeps going. He's evventually forced wide by Chiellini, but with no options, he goes for the shot anyway. Which is rubbish.
  • 22'
NOVARA ARE WITHIN SIGHT OF THE JUVENTUS AREA!!!! But the cross from the left by Gemiti is cleared away by Chiellini. Well that was short-lived.
  • 20'
OHHH. Should be two!! From the left-hand byline, Borriello knocks the ball back towards the penalty spot, where Lichtsteiner slids in, and puts the ball over the bar.
  • 18'
Juve are certainly not sitting on their laurels here. From kick off, Chiellini knocks the ball long towards Giaccherini, but the pass is slightly overhit, and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
  • 16'
    Assist Andrea Pirlo
  • 16'
    Goal Mirko Vučinić
GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!!! And It's Mirko Vucinic with the strike!!! A free kick by Pirlo from the left-hand side is hit hard and low towards the edge of the area, where Vucinic just flicks the ball on, and off the crossbar into the back of the net. 1-0. And it's highly deserved.
  • 15'
The corner is played short to Vucinic, who crosses dangerously in towards the six yard box. Chiellini goes to attack it, but his header/neck/chest goes wide.
  • 14'
They're back up now, and we're back playing with Giaccherini. Again. He gives it to Pirlo this time inside, and the former Milan man goes for a shot from 30 yards. The effort is a good one, but it deflected behind for a corner.
  • 13'
Lichtsteiner has clashed with Dellafiore, and both are down receiving treatment.
  • 12'
Giaccherini, who's seen an awful lot of the ball in these early exchanges, comes forward again down the left. He cuts inside, and tries to cross from the edge of the area, only for his pass to be blocked by Garcia.
  • 10'
Borriello comes deep now for Juve. He turns and brings the ball forward, before giving it to Giaccherini on the left. He gets a cross in towards the far post, where Lichtsteiner is there to head back across goal. His header goes to Vidal, who, with his back to goal, tries an overhead kick from 12 yards, only to see it go wide of the right-hand post.
  • 7'
This is relentless from Juve. They have the ball again in the centre circle with Pirlo. He fires a ball out to Giaccherini on the left-hand touchline. The wing-back-come-wide-man brings the ball forward, and puts a cross in towards Vucinic. Paci though, gets up above the Montenigrin, and heads away.
  • 5'
It's Juve again coming forward. Marchisio plays the ball into the feet of Borriello, but the Italian forward's touch is a poor one, and the ball goes into the path of Porcari. Realising his mistake, Borriello works back to retrieve the ball, but he concedes a free kick on the edge of the area.
  • 3'
OHHHH. First effort of the game, and it goes to Juventus. Vucinic comes forward over the halfway line, and plays the ball in behind for Borriello. The former Roma man brings the ball up to the left-hand side of the area, and strikes cleanly across goal. It looks as if Fontana makes a superb save, but the referee gives a goal kick. A great early chance though.
  • 2'
Immediately they have possession with Giaccherini down the left. He comes forward down the byline, towards the area. Garcia comes across to challenge the Italian, but he gets his cross away. The ball goes towards the edge of the area and Pirlo, but Pesce's there, and he clears for Novara.
  • 1'
And we're off. Juventus will get us underway, kicking from right-to-left.
  • Here we go then. The players are leaving the tunnel, with kick off literally moments away. Don't go anywhere.
  • Just over 10 minutes to go until kick off here in Novara, and the atmosphere is building up nicely.
  • And as always, you can hit me up on Twitter @alexjmott with all your comments/predictions/questions.
  • Juventus (3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Giaccherini; Borriello, Vucinic.
  • Novara (4-3-1-2): Fontana; Dellafiore, Paci, Lisuzzo, Garcia; Porcari, Pesce, Gemiti; Rigoni; Caracciolo, Mazzarani.
  • Juventus on the other hand, are currently riding on a seven-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents 19-1. They have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight games, and are still the only unbeaten side in Europe.
  • The Serie A new boys though, have conceded 11 goals in their last five encounters, and have lost five games this season by three goals or more.
  • Attilio Tesser's side certainly won't roll over today: they're unbeaten in their last six games at Stadio Silvio Piola, winning two and drawing four. With Juventus last winning at Novara 40 years ago.
  • This afternoon's game is vital for both the Biancoazzurri and the Bianconeri. Nothing less than a win for Novara will see them almost certainly relegated. And for Juventus, anything other than three points and their chances of a Scudetto could be scuppered.
  • Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to's LIVE, play-by-play coverage, of the Piedmont derby between Novara and Juventus. I'm Alex Mott, and I'll be your commentator for today's crucial Serie A clash.
