The hosts look to capitalize on the first win of the season against a Houston team on a frustrating spell. After winning the Supporters' Shield as the best team in the MLS regular season in 2013, it took the New York Red Bulls seven tries to get their first MLS win of the year. Now they look to start their first winning streak of the year when they welcome the Houston Dynamo to Red Bull Arena (7:30 p.m. ET; MLS Live).
Thierry Henry and Lloyd Sam were on the mark for the Red Bulls in a 2-1 win against Philadelphia, the first victory for the Red Bulls after a disappointing start that saw the team lose twice and draw four times.
The Dynamo will attempt to overturn both recent form and history. The club enters Wednesday night's clash coming off a scoreless draw with Philadelphia that was preceded by three consecutive defeats. The Red Bulls won all three of the teams' meetings in 2013.
The Houston attack has been keyed by Will Bruin, who has three goals on the season, while New York's Eric Alexander has been a threat and has three assists this year.
Ibrahim Sekagya is suspended for the Red Bulls after being sent off against the Union, but neither manager has any significant injury worries.
