For the second straight week, the Revs scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time, this one salvaging a draw against Seattle. The New England Revolution extended the Seattle Sounders' winless run to eight with a dramatic late equalizer in a 2-2 draw at Gillette Stadium. The Revs haven't lost at home since April 14.
For the eighth consecutive game, the Sounders conceded first Saer Sene tapping home from what looked like a slightly offside position after Blake Brettsneider's scuffed shot.
But two Eddie Johnson goals turned the game around. Both came via his noggin -- the first a delicate deflection of an in-swinging Mauro Rosales feed and the second a thumping header at the far post from Marc Burch's cross.
The lead represented Seattle's first in MLS since May 9 and the first time the club has scored two goals in a game since May 19.
In the 50th minute, Osvaldo Alonso picked up a yellow, which means he is suspended for the match against Real Salt Lake.
An even bigger blow came four minutes into stoppage time, when Diego Fagundez navigated a congested box to head home a Fernando Cardenas cross.
