Despite some good chances, neither side was able to take the advantage in a scoreless game in Gillette Stadium.

The New England Revolution and D.C. United played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Both sides had near misses in the scoreless game. Lee Nguyen went close for New England in the 18th minute. Taking a lay-off from Diego Fagundez, he curled a shot from inside the area that skimmed just over the crossbar. Kyle Porter saw a volley from just outside the area go wide int he 51st minute.

New England went close twice in two minutes after the hour mark. First, Fagundez put a shot narrowly over, followed by Chris Tierney hitting the post after a corner kick.

The draw marks the sixth occasion this season that New England has been held scoreless in MLS play, and the Revs now have a 5-4-5 record. D.C. remains last in the East and Major League Soccer on 1-10-3.
