M. De Sanctis
Made one particularly strong save to deny Diego Milito but was otherwise untested, as Eto'o's goal was unstoppable.
Did a decent job getting forward to support the attack. Defended competently for the most part.
Was never overly stretched on the left side of Napoli back three.
The center back was not as forceful as usual tonight. Had a few shaky moments when Milito ran at him.
A quiet game for the left midfielder. Fired in some interesting crosses but didn't bomb forward as often as he usually does.
Scored the goal which secured the draw and almost grabbed another when he darted to the front post to meet Maggio's cross.
Tried to support Lavezzi through the center. Despite having one decent effort saved, never really offered enough as Napoli struggled without Cavani's presence upfront.
Worked like a trojan in midfield, covering the whole right flank. It was his tireless effort which led to his side's equalizer, and he also fired over a few menacing crosses
The Uruguayan saw a lot of the ball, particularly in the second half. Sprayed passes around the pitch as his side kept possession without ever really going anywhere.
Worked hard in the center of midfield but took a back seat to allow Gargano to get on the ball and dictate play.
Spearheaded the attack in Cavani's absence but didn't offer the same focal point his fellow South American does. Had an early effort easily saved.
Flapped at a couple of crosses and fumbled a Lavezzi drive in a less than convincing opening. Should share some of the blame for Napoli's goal.
Made up half of an unfamiliar back line with Materazzi and never looked truly comfortable, although he wasn't overly troubled by Napoli.
Impressive in the early stages as he got forward and also made some important saving tackles. Faded as the game wore on.
The aging defender seems to cause disharmony in the defense and went to sleep when Campagnaro took a quick throw for the Napoli equalizer.
Played his part in Napoli's goal by strangely sweeping the ball inside a challenge back towards his own goal. That aside he was an assured presence in midfield, tucking in to support Maicon.
Curled a magnificent effort off the post in the first half. Made one or two important interceptions in defense.
Failed to follow up on Wednesday's impressive outing against Roma with a similarly influential performance. His main contribution was working the ball to Maicon to hit the post.
Anchored the midfield and sat particularly deep in the second half as both teams passed the ball around the midfield.
Solid without being particularly spectacular.
Scored a fantastic opening goal and worked in tandem with Milito in a strong first half showing for the Inter strike-force.
Hasn't been able to match last season's heroics, but has been much better of late. Ran himself into the ground in the first half, laying off for Eto'o to score while going close himself.
- 12 L. Castellazzi
- 26 C. Chivu
Made his long-awaited return in place of Ranocchia.
- 29 Philippe Coutinho
Shored things up in the closing stages.
Played the last half hour after coming on for Eto'o but his team were content to sit deep, so he saw little of the ball.
