It's worst versus first in Saturday's Eastern Conference clash at Stade Saputo. The Montreal Impact and New England Revolution couldn't be further apart in the MLS standings, but they'll be sharing the same field in a worst versus first match at Stade Saputo on Saturday night.
Montreal sits dead last in Major League Soccer with just seven points after 11 games played so far. The Revs, on the other hand, top the Eastern Conference with 23 points from 12 matches. The teams' relative positions present an obvious mismatch that heavily favors the visitors, but the Impact will not be keen to roll over in front of the home fans.
Coming off an encouraging 1-1 midweek draw at Toronto FC in the first leg of the Canadian Championship final, Montreal will look to replicate a second half performance from that match that saw the Impact fight back from a one-goal deficit.
At the other end of the field, the Revolution have been the league's hottest team over the past several weeks. New England is riding a five-game win streak which includes a pair of five-goal games, and head coach Jay Heaps will have to be looking at Montreal's leaky defense as an opportunity for another high-scoring victory.
