  • Obinna with the last shot of the night from 40 yards on a free kick, and that's that. 0-0. Good show, no goals.
  • 90' + 2'
Just a couple of minutes left to play here. Really good game for the fans but lacking the goals it deserved.
  • 90'
Ochoa has been massive tonight for Mexico. Really, all of the goalkeepers in this game have been great.
  • 84'
CHANCE!! Jimenez from a corner following on from the free kick, gets his head to the ball but once again sends it wide.
  • 83'
    Substitution H. Herrera J. Vázquez
  • 83'
Now a chance for Mexico to go at goal from a set play in a dangerous area.
  • 82'
Nigeria with a shot over the top, and Mexico takes goal kick quickly, eventually finding Pulido who has a go of his own and forces another save from Nigeria. How has there not been a goal in this game?
  • 81'
Really nice work from Guardado to win a corner for Mexico.
  • 80'
    Yellow Card Emenike
  • 78'
And again, Nigeria breaks. Ochoa deals with it well.
  • 77'
Mexico wins another free kick. There's have been dangerous, but this one is cleared.
  • 76'
    Yellow Card John Obi Mikel
  • 73'
Guardado sends a great ball into Jimenez who tries to turn it on target but puts it wide of the post. Another chance gone wide on a night where it seems like the goals should be flowing but neither team has been able to break through.
  • 71'
    Substitution Victor Moses Imoh Ezekiel
  • 70'
    Substitution O. Peralta R. Jiménez
  • 70'
Now Moses comes out of the match, and Nigeria without him and Musa is a seriously dented team. Both have gone with a lot of subs this half, as expected, but the chances just keep opening up.
  • 69'
    Yellow Card Kenneth Omeruo
  • 69'
And as has been the case in this game, Mexico answers quickly. Back down to the other end, two saves are made, the second on a shot by Pulido who really should have scored.
  • 68'
Moses again setting the stage for Azeez who can't keep the shot on target. Moses looks like a world beater tonight.
  • 66'
    Substitution Leon-Aderemi Balogun Azubuike Egwueke
  • 66'
Another dangerous set piece for Mexico, and another that just goes begging. Flicked on to the back post and Moreno can't get on the end of it.
  • 64'
    Substitution J. Medina C. Peña
  • 64'
    Substitution D. Reyes Rodríguez
  • 64'
Mexico making a couple of changes just past the hour mark.
  • 62'
Moses still on the field but stopping to stretch his legs every time he makes a run.
  • 60'
Substitution Ahmed Firaz Moosa Victor Obinna
  • 57'
Pulido with a hit for Mexico forces a save at the other end. This continues to be some really entertaining stuff.
  • 56'
Moses is catching cramps in his leg now and is apparently about to be subbed off. That's a pretty big dent to what Nigeria has been doing. A really strong showing from him today. And as that's happening, Musa sneaks in behind the Mexico line and Ochoa once again comes up with a HUGE save.
  • 54'
Mexico holding the ball well now. This is where this team is at its best, but against this Nigeria team every turnover in possession is leading to lighting-fast breaks to the other end of the pitch.
  • 50'
Musa is a very clever player for Nigeria, took that up and over Reyes' head and brought it back down in time to shoot, just a little juggle of the ball to create space in the box. Nice little player.
  • 48'
Hernandez reportedly took a knock to his knee and was taken off. A few changes on both sides and those will come in shortly to show you who came in and went off.
  • 47'
Mexico wins a foul, Herrera down the left is taken down, and this can be treated like a corner. Marquez tries to get on the end of it but it's cleared and Moses breaks back the other way with pace.
  • 46'
    Substitution E. Ambrose Ramon Azeez
  • 46'
    Substitution Michael Uchebo Leon-Aderemi Balogun
  • 46'
    Substitution Vincent Enyeama Austin Ejide
  • 46'
    Substitution Javier Hernández A. Pulido
  • 46'
    Substitution L. Montes J. Aquino
  • 46'
We're back, and Mexico has one big bit of news with Chicharito coming off the pitch.
  • That's it for the first half. A really good game for the watching, but 0-0 at the break despite a number of chances for both sides.
  • 45' + 2'
Musa looks good for Nigeria. Clever bit of play from him to create a chance and win a corner. Another one coming up after the first is sent behind.
  • 45'
Half slowed down for a rash of bodies on the ground. Been choppy the last few minutes. Mostly Nigerian players hitting the deck, but it slowed the pace. Oribe has a go with his left and sends it wide. He's been good again.. dangerous player.
  • 39'
After a slow start, Mexico is very much back in this game and getting plenty of chances. Both teams could have scored on multiple occasions.
  • 35'
Oribe caught drifting just offside as Mexico had numbers in attack. Assistant seems to have gotten the call right, but again, at both ends, with Mexico countering after a Nigeria chance went begging.
  • 34'
Chicharito on the doorstep and once again Enyeama punches it away at the last minute. Both goalkeepers have been great so far, both attacks have been very good. Both defenses.... leaving plenty to be desired, but it's making for a fun watch.
  • 32'
On one end it's Nigeria, running by Marquez, only to give it away cheaply after a pull back, and then Mexico rushing to the other end and winning a corner with a really nice cross from the right. Good, fast paced game right now.
  • 30'
Oribe with a chance!! Mexico really coming into it now, taking it to Nigeria in the last few minutes and Perralta had a chance to make it 1-0 right there put knocked it just wide of the far post.
  • 26'
Mexico gets its first corner of the game and Rafa with a great header on frame, looked like is was going to be a goal but Enyeama matches the header with a great save.
  • 25'
Nigeria's final ball is lacking at times, but the African side looks very dangerous on the counter. Mexico not protecting against it very well and there is plenty of space down the flanks for the pace of the Nigerian wingers.
  • 23'
First real shot for Mexico blazed over the top. Hector Herrera turns and fires from 25 yards.
  • 20'
Guardado with a clever run and flick into Perralta who wins a foul in a dangerous area. Best move of the game from El Tri and Marquez wastes it.
  • 17'
Nigeria has just been quicker to everything so far and Mexico is not holding the ball well at all. Scrappy opening from El Tri. A Mexico attack breaks down and Moses is running at the back line and having a go, wide of the mark.
  • 14'
Mexico really struggling with this Nigeria pressure early on. Ochoa is down on the pitch, took a little knock to the face as he came out to fend off a through ball.
  • 12'
Onazi!! Another great hit, this one from deeper, forces another save from Ochoa, who once again is up to the challence.
  • 11'
Emenike dances through the Mexico back line and puts a shot on frame. Great save from Ochoa to keep the score level.
  • 8'
DANGEROUS!! Moses drove into the box and was taken down. Not a penalty really but Mexico needs to be careful. He has the pace to bother that back line.
  • 5'
Nigeria pressing early on, but the African side just worked the ball all the way back to its own goalkeeper to reboot the attack and wasted possession with a long ball forward.
  • 3'
Nigeria backs up the free kick with a corner kick just moments later. Whipped into the box and Mexico is having trouble getting the danger cleared.
  • 2'
Musa draws a foul. Game is moving fast early on and he was just caught late
  • 1'
We're off and running. Mexico in the red kit, which just looks odd, and Nigeria in the all white strip moving left to right as I see it.
  • Two strong teams coming out, both featuring some big stars with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all represented. Look for an open attacking affair as both of these teams like to get forward with pace.
  • And for Mexico: Ochoa, Marquez, Diego, Moreno, Paul, Guardado, Medina, Herrera, Montes, Oribe, Chicharito.
  • Let's jump right into the teams here. For Nigeria: Enyeama, Oboabona, Omeruo, Ambrose, Elderson, Onazi, Mikel, Moses, Musa, Uchebo, Emenike
  • Welcome in to Goal's LIVE call of Mexico vs. Nigeria. Should be a good one for you tonight with Mexico looking to really get its preparations for the World Cup rolling. A Nice fixture against a Nigeria side that is always dangerous and should provide a real test.
