Commentary

That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us once again. Goodbye!
Sevilla will now wait for their next opponent in the coming days but they could be a potential dark horse due to their home form in Seville.
Sevilla come back from a goal down to earn a point and confirm their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Maribor fought bravely in one of their best performances in the competition but it was not enough to get all three points.
FULL-TIME - Maribor 1-1 Sevilla.
90' + 2' Even before the full-time whistle, Sevilla's place in the knockout stage is confirmed as Liverpool have won 7-0 against Spartak.
90' + 1' Sevilla are trying longer passes into the area but that is welcomed by Maribor and Handanovic is on hand to thwart the danger.
D. Hotič
D. Bohar
Maribor
90' Second change for Maribor as Bohar comes off for Dino Hotič.
89' Three minutes of added time given, both teams may get one more chance each to score the winner.
86' The game is now starting to open up with Maribor doing all they can to please their own fans and win their first match of the competition. That is then helping Sevilla who are finding more space.
83' Sevilla nearly make it 2-1 in their favour after a superb ball across the face of goal finds Ganso but the substitute stretches out and cannot steer his effort into the bottom corner.
81' Maribor are now starting to look tired for the first time tonight and Correa nearly punishes them after charging into the box. He has done well to time his runs but he can only shoot over this time around.
D. Vršič
A. Pihler
Maribor
79' Pihler makes way for Dare Vršič as Milanic tries to get a hold of this game.
78' Liverpool continue to dominate Spartak and they are now 6-0 up at Anfield. Because of that Sevilla were already through to the knockout stages but that goal could give them a huge lift as they chase all three points.
M. Milec
Yellow Card
Maribor
77' Milec shows his frustration after conceding by giving away a free-kick on the left wing and he is booked as a result.
L. Muriel
W. Ben Yedder
Sevilla
76' Straight after the goal, Ben Yedder comes off for Luis Muriel.
J. Correa
Assist
Sevilla
75' Correa claims the assist after a nice inside ball to Ganso.
Ganso
Goal
Sevilla
75' GOALLLL SEVILLA - Ganso marks his appearance off the bench with a goal but Handanovic is left red-faced. Ganso tries his luck with a curling effort but the keeper dives over the ball and gifts the visitors an equaliser.
74' For the third time tonight, Escudero moves into a solid position and tries to find a way past Handanovic but he is denied again by the Marbibor keeper.
72' CHANCE SEVILLA - A long ball forward is flicked into the path of Ben Yedder but the striker cannot get any height on his shot and Handanovic comes flying out of his goal to smother and ensure Marbior remain 1-0 up.
Jesús Navas
G. Mercado
Sevilla
69' An attacking change as Sevilla bring off right-back Gabriel Mercado for former Manchester City winger Jesús Navas.
69' Maribor complain after Marwan Kabha goes down on the edge of the Sevilla box but the visitors waste no time and launch a counter attack. Correa eventually drifts into space and curls a strike towards goal but he is inches away from making it 1-1.
66' A case of dejavu as Bohar repeats the same trick just a few minutes after his first effort but this time his attempt goes over the bar. Third time lucky perhaps...
63' Maribor finally reply with an attack of their own and Bohar is the man to try his luck. The winger cuts in on his stronger right foot and aims for the top corner but he can only fire wide.
62' Ganso's fresh legs guide him into the box and he is on hand to meet a cross but he loses his position in the box and heads wide of the target.
61' Maribor have barely had a kick in Sevilla's half in the first 15 minutes of the second half and Milanic may follow suit here and make a change shortly.
60' Ganso makes an immediate impact with a strong run and Sevilla retain possession high up the pitch. Once again, Escudero is given far too much time and space and he lets fly from 30 yards out and Handanovic is just able to palm the ball away.
Ganso
M. Krohn-Dehli
Sevilla
59' Right on time as Krohn-Dehli is replaced by Ganso.
57' Still no changes from either manager but it should not be too long before we see some alterations from either manager.
55' Liverpool are now 5-0 up against Spartak so that means Sevilla go through at the moment.
53' Maribor's fans panic for a second as the ball trickles towards Ben Yedder inside the box but the forward cannot turn in time and Handanovic comes out to dive on the ball.
D. Bohar
Yellow Card
Maribor
50' Damjan Bohar is now into the referee's book after a sloppy challenge on the touchline.
50' Sevilla have more zest about their play after a half-time talk and Maribor will be up against it if the Spanish giants can keep up this pace.
49' DOUBLE SAVE from Handanovic - David de Gea eat your heart out. Sevilla nearly find a way through as Banega smashes the ball towards the bottom corner but Handanovic gets up quickly to then deny Sarabia.
48' Captain Sergio Escudero tries to lead by example as he tries to find an equaliser but the left-back can only shoot into the stands from long range.
47' Not the ideal start for Sevilla as Ben Yedder picks up a knock and he will now try to run it off in the next few minutes.
46' We are back underway in this Champions League contest between Maribor and Sevilla. The home side lead 1-0, let's see if Sevilla can find a way back into the game!
Sevilla have looked to dominate and control the contest but they lack energy and a formation change may be needed to try and breakdown the Maribor defence. Ben Yedder has been isolated up top, while Sarabia and Correa are being forced inside to come collect the ball.
Maribor deservedly lead at the break thanks to Tavares' early strike at the Ljudski Vrt. The forward could have had a second before the interval but boss Milanic will be elated with his team's display so far.
HALF-TIME Maribor 1-0 Sevilla.
42' CHANCE Maribor but it goes begging after Tavares blasts his curling shot over the bar. The credit can go to Gregor Bajde for his cutback but the striker wastes a fine opportunity to make it 2-0.
40' Sarabia is finding some joy on the edge of the box after drifting in off the wing and he has another shot from range but Maribor put the pressure on and get the block in.
38' Maribor continue to sit back and try and counter and their game plan has worked wonders so far. Sevilla will need to find another gear or hope their opponents get tired in the second-half.
A. Pihler
Yellow Card
Maribor
35' Pihler is given the first card of the game after clipping the back of Kroh-Dehli's heel while he charged through the middle of midfield.
34' A mistake at the back from Maribor gives Wissam Ben Yedder a glimmer of hope. The striker bursts forward and gets himself ready to shoot but Suler times his tackle to perfection before getting up and finding a team-mate.
32' CHANCE Maribor! Winger Damjan Bohar stays onside and peels away at the far post before receiving possession but he can only produce a tame effort into the hands of Sevilla's Sergio Rico.
31' Milec, who got the assist for Tavares' goal, is having a stormer so far tonight. He is put under pressure by a Sevilla cross but he keeps his composure to head back towards keeper Handanovic.
29' It appears that Banega's effort has inspired others as Maribor man Pihler follows suit but his drive nearly ends up near the corner flag, much to the disgust of Milanic.
28' After knocking the ball around in triangles, Sevilla's midfield combines to tee up Banega but the playmaker sees his shot blocked from distance by Maribor goalkeeper Jasmin Handanovic.
25' Sevilla are now back dominating the possession but Maribor are doing well to nip in at the pivotal moment. Just when the Spanish side think they are building, Maribor step in and their fans are loving every minute.
23' The visitors win a free-kick in a dangerous position on the right wing and Banega floats his cross to the far post. Defender Simon Kjaer does all he can to steer it goalwards but Maribor battle hard and divert the danger.
21' Sarabia is too sloppy once again in a key area but at least he showed movement off the ball after drifting from right to left. The Spanish outfit have also struggled to mark Tavares and the forward is enjoying himself inside the first 20 minutes.
19' Liverpool are now 3-0 up against Spartak so Sevilla can breathe a sign of relief but they must start to do more when in possession. Banega has yet to get going and Maribor look a real threat from set pieces.
18' Sevilla clear the original cross but Milec is quick to react and he whips another curling ball into the area and Marko Suler meets it with speed but the centre-back is unable to steer his effort home and a goal kick is given.
17' Maribor win another free-kick in the Sevilla half...
16' Pablo Sarabia is the latest Sevilla man to work the ball into a good position but he wastes the chance to create something as he plays his pass straight back into Maribor's hands.
15' Sevilla winger Joaquin Correa tries to launch an attack down the left wing but he is crunched in the tackle by Maribor defender Jean-Claude Billong. His effort gets a huge round of applause from the home crowd.
14' It's a case of back to the drawing board for Sevilla but that goal may spark them into life.
11' Liverpool have also taken the lead against Spartak Moscow so Sevilla's poor start is not all doom and gloom just yet.
Marcos Tavares
Goal
Maribor
10' GOAAALLLL MARIBOR - What a start from the home team as Marcos Tavares opens the scoring. After absorbing plenty of pressure, Milanic's side launch the ball forward from their set-piece and the striker is on hand to convert from close range.
M. Milec
Assist
Maribor
10' Martin Milec is on hand to grab the assist after a floated cross towards captain Tavares.
9' A welcomed break for Maribor as Aleks Pihler wins a free kick after a poor challenge from Guido Pizzarro in midfield.
7' Big test this evening for Ever Banega and Michael Krohn-Dehli as the two playmakers in the Sevilla midfield. With such little space on the edge of the box, they will need to be on their A-game to find the necessary through balls.
4' Low key start from both sets of players so far with both doing well to work it down the flanks but Maribor have put 10 players behind the ball in the first few minutes.
2' Sevilla in their white strip tonight with red socks, while it is all blue for Maribor. Cold night this evening for both sets of players but Sevilla will need to settle quickly and hope to find their groove.
1' The match is underway at the Ljudski Vrt as Sevilla kick the game off.

Tonight's team news coming up...
Last time out Maribor were 2-1 victors over Gorica in their domestic competition, while Sevilla proved too much for Deportivo as they secured a 2-0 win in La Liga.
On the other hand, Sevilla are flying of late and they are unbeaten in five coming into this encounter. Eduardo Berizzo's troops have won four of their last five matches and they are the heavy favourites.
Maribor are playing for pride tonight after only picking up two points from their first five group games. They have won two of their last five matches in all competitions and Darko Milanic's men are hoping to pull off an upset.
Tonight's game comes from Group E of the competition and there is plenty to play for this evening. While Maribor are out, Sevilla can still qualify and they can even top the group if results go their way. Elsewhere in the group, Liverpool take on Spartak Moscow and both teams can also progress into the next round of the competition.
Good evening everyone and welcome along to tonight's live text commentary of Maribor vs Sevilla from the UEFA Champions League.
