The keeper made some fairly decent saves during the course of the game, but made a horrendous error as Messi's first-half effort squirmed through his arms and into the net. He never seemed too confident thereafter.
Made some crucial interceptions in the first half to stop Dani Alves and David Villa from bursting through on goal. He did attempt to get forward but made keeping Villa quiet his priority, something which he did successfully.

Could not get to grips with the match from the opening stages as his touch frequently let him down. He was hesitant in possession and did not venture forwards to test the defenders as he usually would.

Hugged the left flank and was involved in some of his side's better chances. While his final ball can frequently be frustrating, there was nothing uncertain about his goal which he swept home with aplomb.
