Mallorca will be without Giovani dos Santos for Sunday's Primera Division match against Barcelona after the Mexican picked up a thigh injury in last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Deportivo La Coruna. Nunes, Antonio Lopez, Joao Victor (all knee) and Javi Marquez (ankle) are out, but right back Ximo (knee) could return.

Gerard Pique could make his first start for Barcelona since September after recovering from an ankle injury to play 20 minutes of the club's Champions League defeat at Celtic.

Captain Carles Puyol (elbow) has returned to training and could be available for first team action shortly, while Adriano (hamstring), Thiago Alcantara and Isaac Cuenca (both knee) remain sidelined.

  • With nine wins and a draw, the Catalan giant has made its best ever start to a top-flight campaign.
  • Lionel Messi (pictured, right) is one strike short of equaling Pele's record of 75 goals in a calendar year, which the Brazilian set in 1959.
