Had a wonderful first half in which he blocked a couple of very dangerous freekicks. Had no chance for the penalty, and Afellay's wonder-strike, but should have placed a defender at the left post for the third goal.
The Portuguese conceded a silly penalty, and was very shaky at the back, especially in the first half. Had some good runs in the first period, but after the break he barely crossed the halfway line.
Had a solid first half, reducing Barcelona to desperate long range drives. His level of performance dropped considerably after the break, and he was partially at fault for the third goal.

The ex-Sevilla winger had a very good game as he was always dangerous from open play and on set-pieces. Caused a lot of trouble for Adriano and Alves.
His eagerness to win the ball back nearly got him into trouble on a couple of occasions. Ran a lot and passed neatly in a decent performance in the middle of the park.
Had an outstanding game as he threaded a few fantastic balls for his team-mates, including the one for the opener. Created a clear chance for Juanmi shortly before Bojan's penalty, which the striker wasted.
The Uruguayan scored with a fine shot, and looked dangerous in the first half. Somewhat faded away after the break.
Despite showing good movement, the striker was seemingly short on confidence, and failed to threaten Pinto with his finishing. Overall, a poor game.
The goalkeeper was left with no chance for Fernandez's striker, but did very well to deny Juanmi just before Bojan's goal. Had very little to do after the break.
The centre-half had an average game at best until he scored with a towering header in the 85th minute. His poor positioning cost Barcelona the opener, and his inability to mark Malaga's attackers exposed Pinto on more than one occasion.

The Frenchman is slowly returning to fitness, and this game was proof that he is on his way to complete recovery. Very stable at the back, and always there to bail Bartra out of trouble.

The Brazilian had a decent game as he supported Bojan well on the flank, and was unshakable at the back. A promising performance from the ex-Inter man.
Still not on Xavi's level, but not too far either. Distributed the ball well, and showed great dribbling and shooting ability in a very promising performance.
The youngster got off to a slow start, but managed to settle, and ended the game on a high note. Looked lost at first, but soon began to tirelessly close down opponents, and almost scored with a shot from inside the box in the first half.
The Dutchman had an anonymous first half, but raised his level of performance after the break. Should have scored in the 64th minute, but made amendments with a wonder-strike late on.
The young attacker had a thunderous first half, when he got close to scoring twice from free-kicks. Faded away after the break.
The deputy captain had a fine game, winning and converting the equaliser from the spot, and causing all sorts of problems for Malaga's defence with his intelligent runs.
The goalkeeper played his last minutes for Malaga in this game, and did well in his farewell cameo.
