Well, that is it from me, Tom Webber, for this afternoon. Thanks a lot for joining me and I hope you enjoyed that game as much as I did. Have a great evening!
FULL TIME - Liverpool 4-1 West Brom: The Reds keep pace with Arsenal, largely thanks to a brilliant hat-trick from Suarez. Things got shaky later in the second half as Morrison pulled one back from the spot, but Sturridge secured the three points with a truly wonderous chip in the closing stages. On the whole, a deserved three points for the hosts.
90' + 3'
The final whistle goes!
90' + 1'
Anichebe shows great strength to hold off Skrtel, though he could be accused of backing into him. He spins the centre-back and shoots for... well, I would usually say goal, but he must have been aiming for the corner flag as it rolls out for a throw in!
Three minutes of additional time are set to be played.
BRILLIANT STOP! Myhill gets down to his left to stop Suarez from netting his fourth with an effort from the top of the box after he had jinked away from Olsson. It is his last act of the game as he is withdrawn moments later. Still, a fantastic performance for the Uruguayan.
The game remains very open in the closing stages and both sides have had a chance to score even more goals. This has been a thoroughly entertaining game.
TOP SAVE!! Sessegnon cuts the ball back to the penalty spot and Morrison gets on the end of it. His shot takes a slight deflection but Mignolet adjusts and manages to divert the attempt behind for a corner.
Liverpool came in for some real pressure in the second half but that Sturrdige goal has breathed new life into them. They are breaking at pace when they win the ball and have every chance of adding to their tally in the closing stages.
OFF THE BAR!! Brilliant, acrobatic improvisation from Suarez as he smashes an overhead kick at goal after Olsson's clearance looped up into the area inside the area. It cannons back off the frame of the goal and Sturridge holds onto his 'best goal of the afternoon' award.
That is another excellent run from the right-back, Jones, as he dribbles all the way across the pitch before sending an effort towards goal. Unfortunately for him, Anichebe gets in the way of it!
STAT: That goal means Sturridge has only failed to score in one of his nine Premier League appearances so far this term! That suggest some clinical finishing.
Goal Daniel Sturridge
GOOOOAAAL!! WHAT A STRIKE!! Sturridge continues his great start to the season, chipping a sublime effort across goal that looped over Myhill before nestling in the far corner. That rivals Suarez's opener for best goal of the afternoon!
West Brom are really stepping up the pressure now! Having converted that penalty, the Baggies clearly feel they have a chance of a miracle comeback.
HE HAS TO DO BETTER!! Anichebe does excellently to control the ball inside the area and then have the vision to spot Brunt on the far side of the box. The Northern Ireland international attempts to arrow the ball back across goal and into the bottom corner but he fires well wide.
Not close enough! The striker tries to bend the free kick around the wall and back inside the post but it lacks the curl to find the back of the net. Not his greatest effort today.
Yellow Card Jonas Olsson
Sturridge is again allowed to drop deep and find the ball and as he bares down on goal Olsson scythes him to ground. Suarez is placing this one, does he fancy a fourth?
GREAT SAVE!! Sturridge picks the ball up on the half-way line and wriggles away from his marker. He sprints into the area but slips as he tries to glide past Olsson. His touch falls to Gerrard just outside him fires a shot at goal from an acute angle, but Myhill has it covered and deflects it behind for a corner.
WHAT A CHANCE! Sessegnon spots the overlap of Ridgewell on the left and supplies his team-mate with the ball. He whips in a fantastic cross, right between the goalkeeper and his defenders, but Anichebe makes his run a little too late and fails to connect.
The referee's assistant was close to the penalty incident there and it appears it was his decision to award the spot-kick. It was perhaps a tad harsh as contact was minimal, but if anyone did clip Jones it looked to have been Cissokho.
Penalty Goal James Morrison
GOOOOAALL! Morrison pulls one back for the visitors, hammering the spot-kick down the middle as Mignolet dives to his left. Game on at Anfield!
PENALTY TO WEST BROM!! Jones races into the area and goes down under pressure from Lucas and Cissokho.
SO CLOSE!! The Baggies whip the ball into the box from a free kick which Sakho conceded, and Olsson nods it back into the danger area from the back post. No one can bring it under control but it eventually bounces for McAuley, but the centre-back blazes his attempt over the roof of the goal.
Johnson did well to continue to after picking up that knock in the first half and is maybe being brought off as a precaution by Rodgers. In his place comes a man who looks like he should be a regular on Hollyoaks rather than the Liverpool side, Martin Kelly.
West Brom's two holding midfielders, Mulumbu and Yacob, have done a terrible drop of restricting the space between the lines for Suarez and Sturridge. They are failling to pick the forwards up and this is enabling the to run at the defenders, which is precisely when they are at their most-dangerous.
OFF THE BAR!! What a strike from Sturridge, again picking the ball up deep and turning to run at the West Brom defence. Olsson continually backs off and when he reaches the top of the box Sturridge thunders an effort on goal that comes crashing back off the underside of the bar. Myhill had no chance.
HE SHOULD SCORE!! Johnson races in behind the defence and he puts the ball across the face of goal, where Sturridge meets it at the back post. He falls as he connects with it, though, and sends his effort well over the top.
A half-chance for West Brom as a scramble inside the box ends with Morrison trying to head the ball into the net with Mignolet elsewhere. He fails to generate enough power on the effort to guide it past the group of red shirts back to cover, though.
That is Suarez's fourth hat-trick for Liverpool, but his first in front of the Anfield faithful. I'm sure it is one they will remember for some time.
Assist Steven Gerrard
Goal Luis Suárez
GOOOOOAAAL!! Suarez gets his hat-trick! A cheap free kick is given away out on the left and Gerrard curls it into the box brilliantly. The Uruguayan rises at the near post, completely unmarked, and glances the ball into the far corner with his head. Awful defending.
Yellow Card Claudio Yacob
Cissokho falls to the ground in absolute agony as he takes a ball to the face but play continues. He writhes around on the floor and, oh my, his shirt is all red. Wait, it was like that before wasn't it. Phew, he's OK! No need for all that acting.
Henderson should do better there! He did the part, winning the ball on the edge of the box, but he flicked the ball into the area before volleying at goal. He should have just shot first time and instead sliced his attempt wide.
Not for the first time Mignolet comes off of his line to try and gather a ball into the box but he again misses it. Possession is worked to Yacob at the top of the area but his effort sails wide of the target.
Suarez does superbly to move inside from the byeline before laying the ball back to Cissokho on the corner of the box. He sets himself with his first touch and his shot is deflected behind for a corner. That kind of disguised how poor the wing-back's effort actually was!
What a waste! West Brom win a corner but Morrison sends it in far too deep, evading all of his team-mates inside the box. They could do with changing things up soon.
... JUST WIDE!! Unbelievable whip on that effort from Sturridge, but not enough to guide it back inside the far post.
West Brom up to their old tricks, giving away free kicks just outside the area. Yacob brings down Sturridge 20 yards from goal and he looks like he fancies this one...
Liverpool kick the second half off!
Welcome back! The teams will be back on the pitch shortly so that we can begin the second half. Hopefully we will have an equally entertaining 45 minutes!
HALF TIME - Liverpool 2-0 West Brom: The Reds have been in complete control so far this afternoon, showing energetic movement and high-quality passing throughout. A pair of sublime goals from Suarez give them the lead at the break, and the Baggies desperately need to step it up after the break if they are to take anything from this game. Join me in 15 minutes for the second half to see if they can.
45' + 4'
The half-time whistle goes!
45' + 2'
SO CLOSE!! West Brom immediately counter and Mulumbu fires a long diagonal ball over the top of the Liverpool defence. Anichebe latches onto it and pokes a shot past Mignolet, but Skrtel gets back to cover and clear it away before it rolls into the back of the net.
45' + 1'
What a challenge! That was like Bobby Moore in his prime! Olsson stands Suarez up before going to ground and taking the ball of the attacker's toes with a stunning tackle on the edge of the box.
45' + 1'
We are into the first of an additional three minutes.
Gerrard flights the ball in and Skrtel meets it at the back post, however a few ricochets make it difficult for him to direct it on target and a goal kick is awarded.
The latest to concede a free kick in a dangerous area for the hosts is Amalfitano as he jumps through the back of Cissokho in his attempts to win a header. It proves to be the Frenchman's last action in the game as he is replaced by Brunt.
The Baggies seem content to try and get to half time with the score as it is. A third goal before the break would be disastrous, and all but end their hopes of returning to the Midlands with something to show for their work.
OVER THE TOP!! Suarez and Cissokho combine well down the left but the eventual cross runs back out of the area. It is worked to Henderson at the top of the box, left of centre, and he attempts to curl an effort into the top corner on the opposite side. His technique is brilliant, but he fails to keep it down and the ball whistles narrowly over.
West Brom are conceding far too many free kicks outside their box this afternoon, but fortunately for them Liverpool fail to make anything of their most recent one. They need to stay tighter to the red shirts and not allow them the opportunity to bring the ball under control so close to goal.
Liverpool have possession on the half-way line and West Brom have all 11 players back behind the ball. The hosts are still managing to find space as they pass it around quickly with great movement. Rodgers will be delighted with the performance of his side so far.
JUST WIDE!! Half the ground think Suarez has curled a free kick into the top corner for his hat-trick, but the ball actually hit the post behind the net and rolled across the back. Great technique from the Uruguayan, but not close enough.
The Reds are in complete control here, knocking the ball about brilliantly and West Brom appear to just be chasing the about the whole time. Yacob fails to stay tight enough to Sturridge and thus pulls on his shirt. The referee awards a free kick 25 yards from goal.
Amalfitano whips in a good delivery and Olsson gets his head to it, but the assistant referee has his flag raised for offside. It looked to be the correct decision.
Johnson is back on his feet but he does not appear to be moving completely freely. He looks to be trying to shake it off, but in the meantime West Brom can put their free kick into the box...
Johnson is down after a collision with Anichibe and he is holding his knee. It doesn't look good, but it is actually a free kick to West Brom as the former Everton striker was brought to ground by Toure moments later.
WHAT A CHANCE!! Suarez slips a short pass from the free kick to Gerrard down to the byeline. The midfielder cuts it back but unfortunately Skrtel is the man who receives it and his attempted shot actually ends up going behind him. Oh to have had Sturrdige on the spot there!
Mulumbu holds onto the ball for far too long and is caught in his own half by Henderson. The referee sees no foul and Gerrard picks up possession before being flattened by Yacob. That, the official cannot ignore and he awards the hosts a free kick in a dangerous area.
Suarez plays a great pass down the challenge for Cissokho and Olsson steps across to get in the way of it. Under pressure from the left-back, though, the Swede can only put it out for a throw in level with his own area.
Great covering from Lucas! West Brom break and Anelka switches the play from left to right to find Jones. Cissokho gets beaten by him far too easily, but fortunately for him his Brazilian team-mate chases across to put in a well-timed challenge inside the area.
Confidence really looks high for the Reds this afternoon. It is perhaps not surprising, given that they have only lost once in their last 16 league outings! Their passing is quick, crisp and incisive today and West Brom are going to step it up if they are to contain them.
STAT: A total of 13 of Liverpool's 15 Premier League goals so far this season have now come in the first half. And there is still plenty of time for them to add to that tally!
Assist Aly Cissokho
Goal Luis Suárez
GOOOOOAAAL!! SUAREZ HAS TWO! More excellent football from Liverpool as Sturridge passes to Suarez, who then plays a reverse pass out wide for Cissokho. The Frenchman's first time cross is then met by the striker who doesn't break his stride and powers a header into the top corner from the edge of the box. Outstanding.
West Brom respond well and begin to hold onto the ball inside the opposing half but they cannot find a way through the hosts, who are doing a good job of restricting the space in which they can play. After coming up against a dead end the ball is played back and Mulumbu sends it hopelessly long.
STAT: That was Suarez's fourth goal in as many Premier League appearances this season. Love him or hate him, you cannot help but appreciate that.
Goal Luis Suárez
GOOOAAALL! Stunning from Suarez! He drops off the play and instantly looks to run at goal, accelerating past Yacob before passing the ball through Olsson's legs at the top of the box. The Uruguayan then picks it up on the other side and places his finish into the bottom corner. Great goal.
PENALTY CLAIM! Sturridge drops off of Olsson and turns to face goal from 20 yards out. He spots Suarez's run into the area and slides in a great pass but the Uruguayan goes down under pressure from McAuley. The referee is unmoved by the striker's claims of a shirt pull, and waves for play to continue.
UNLUCKY! Deep defending from Liverpool as Anichebe gets the ball played into feet on the penalty spot and he controls it well. However, he loses his footing and Skrtel takes the chance to stab it out of the box.
Exquisite from Suarez! He kills a high ball inside the area and brings it under his control with an impeccable touch, even with Jones breathing down his neck. He holds off the defender and tees up Gerrard for a shot, but the captain's effort fails to worry Myhill.
Sturridge and Suarez combine for the first time this afternoon, with the Uruguayan being found in space to get a shot away from distance. He snatches at it somehwat, dragging his effort wide of the far post. Plenty of bright movement from the forward already today.
Cissokho pushes forward for the first time this afternoon and he drills a great cross across the six-yard box. It takes a nick off of Jones, but no one gambles to try and get on the end of it and Myhill is able to gather it under minimal pressure.
Great strength from Mulumbu sees him dispossess Toure as the centre-back makes a marauding run forward. Sessegnon comes back to helps out and uses his quick feet to work the ball away and into the other half.
Suarez looks to be playing a very free role early on, as this time he drops deep on the right side and attempts to loft a pass up to his strike-partner Sturridge. McAuley keeps his eye on it though, and manages to head away the danger.
Great passing football in the middle of the park from Liverpool culminates with Gerrard arrowing the ball out to Suarez on the left. Jones manages to intercept the pass, heading behind for a corner which the hosts fail to make anything of.
We are underway at Anfield!
The teams are making their way out onto the pitch now, so kick off will be upon us imminently.
I alluded to the fact that West Brom have won their previous three league meetings with Liverpool, but I did not mention they have done so without conceding a single goal. Are they going to be able to keep the red-hot combination of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge out this afternoon, though?
Steve Clarke also makes just the one switch, with Saido Berahino making way for the more experienced Nicolas Anelka. The Baggies are unbeaten in five league games, including the impressive 2-1 win away against Manchester United. The coach will be hoping for another impressive performance on their travels today.
Just the one change for Rodgers this afternoon, with Lucas Leiva coming in for Victor Moses. The Brazilian should add a bit more stell to the Reds' midfield, while also enabling Jordan Henderson to enjoy a bit more freedom higher up the pitch.
West Brom substitutes: Daniels, Lugano, Morrison, Brunt, Berahino, Vydra, Long.
West Brom (4-2-3-1): Myhill; Billy Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Yacob, Mulumbu; Amalfitano, Anelka, Sessegnon; Anichebe.
Liverpool substitutes: Brad Jones, Agger, Kelly, Alberto, Allen, Moses, Sterling.
Liverpool (3-5-2): Mignolet; Sakho, Skrtel, Toure; Johnson, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Cissokho; Suarez, Sturridge.
My name is Tom Webber and I will be guiding you through all of the action today. Liverpool lost ground on Arsenal with their 2-2 draw at Newcastle last weekend, and with the Gunners closing in on a 2-0 win away to Crystal Palace today, a win is of the utmost important for Brendan Rodgers' men. So, lets take a look at the line-ups...
Hello and welcome to this afternoon's LIVE commentary on the Premier League meeting between title-hopefuls Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion at Anfield. The Reds will be keen for a change in fortunes against today's opposition, who have beaten them in each of their previous three league encounters.
