That's it! Juventus moves back to the top spot and holds a two-point advantage over Milan! It was a solid performance from Italy's most decorated team, as they were lethal in the first half and uncompromising in the second. Inter simply did not make effective use of the space on the San Siro pitch, and apart from Maicon's goal was not dynamic enough in its movement. As a result, the winners of five out of the last six scudetti could now drop into the relegation zone depending on other results over the weekend.
  • 90' + 3'
    Last chance saloon for Inter...
  • 90'
Juventus' back line gets caught out, a rare occurrence tonight, but Pazzini is wasteful as he gets in the left-hand channel, and his shot is well-blocked.
  • 89'
From a tactical point of view, Inter has been surprisingly narrow for a team playing at home. Juventus' ability to stay compact and exploit the flanks has proved a big boon as it looks set to regain the top spot.
  • 88'
    Substitution Arturo Vidal Michele Pazienza
  • 87'
Del Piero finds himself through one-on-one, but he shanks his chance to put the result beyond doubt as the ball rolls harmlessly wide.
  • 86'
Inter finally seems to be creating some danger, as Ricardo Alvarez has really sparked the team since coming on, but as has been the story, they just haven't quite connected.
  • 84'
Substitution Mirko Vučinić Alessandro Del Piero
  • 81'
Pazzini goes down meekly, with his penalty appeals turned away, and immediately Juventus break with Estigarribia, who broke through and should've at least earned a corner after a great kick save from Castellazzi kept the Paraguayan's low shot out. However, neither the referee nor his assistant spotted the save and Juventus got off the hook with a goal kick.
  • 80'
Inter is clearly frustrated, as Claudio Ranieri chose to sub off Sneijder as the Dutch midfielder was shown yellow for a rash challenge.
  • 78'
    Substitution Wesley Sneijder Ricardo Álvarez
  • 77'
The game has somewhat petered out now as Juventus are defending, and comfortably I might add. Inter is simply out of ideas and stifled tactically.
  • 70'
    Substitution Alessandro Matri Marcelo Estigarribia
  • 67'
    Yellow Card Andrea Pirlo
  • 67'
Getting a bit feisty here. Vidal goes down, but Inter doesn't stop play, leading Pirlo to take down Sneijder from behind out of frustration, resulting in a yellow card.
  • 66'
It's been simply sloppy by Inter. Juventus can retreat into its shell without much worry because Inter simply hasn't been able string anything dangerous together and continues to look iffy at the back.
  • 65'
    Yellow Card Wesley Sneijder
  • 64'
    Substitution J. Obi Dejan Stankovic
  • 59'
    Yellow Card Cristian Chivu
  • 59'
Catastrophic defending from Inter! Despite being on the front foot, the home side first gives away a foul on the right-hand side, resulting in a yellow fro Chivu. The defense made a hash of the resulting free kick and only a save from Castellazzi prevented Vucinic from stabbing home.
  • 58'
Inter is all over the visitors and Sneijder has a great rip, only to see Lichtsteiner come up big on the defensive end and get the block. The home crowd is urging its heroes on, but for now Juventus are defending well.
  • 56'
Juve further on the back foot now as Pepe is carded and sets up a free kick for Inter on the right. The rebound is headed out to Pazzini, who had his shot blocked well.
  • 55'
    Yellow Card Simone Pepe
  • 54'
    Yellow Card Giorgio Chiellini
  • 54'
Chiellini catches Pazzini with an elbow, and the Inter forward tries to make the most of it! But it was accidental and Chiellini gets away with a yellow card.
  • 52'
Juventus has settled down a bit from the end of the first half as Inter has been pressing for the equalizer, but with no success.
  • 46'
    Substitution M. Zárate Luc Castaignos
  • 46'
The action is back under way in Milan!
  • It's halftime in Milan and the San Siro crowd can't be happy. Despite Maicon's goal giving Inter an equalizer, Juventus has been taking advantage of nearly every defensive mistake and finds itself deservedly up at half thanks to Marchisio's well-worked goal.
  • 45'
As the second half draws to a close, it's been totally Juventus. Inter is being undone by their high line, and Juve is pouring on the pressure, having a well-worked move turned behind and more penalty shouts turned down.
  • 45'
    Yellow Card Arturo Vidal
  • 40'
So close to a third for Juve! Pirlo has found his range after some shaky early touches, and he helps set up Marchisio over the top, who goes through. The midfielder nearly had is second, but had penalty claims denied as he dinked it over Castellazzi and out, only to be taken out by the goalkeeper's late challenge.
  • 33'
    Assist Alessandro Matri
  • 33'
    Goal Claudio Marchisio
  • 33'
GOAL JUVENTUS! It's brilliant! Pirlo sprays a wonderful pass out wide to Lichtsteiner, who winds Marchisio. The midfielder plays a fantastic one-two with Matri and expertly fires past the keeper.
  • 28'
    Assist Wesley Sneijder
  • 28'
    Goal Maicon
  • 28'
GOAL INTER! Fantastic reverse pass from Sneijder to free Maicon in the area, and the Brazilian makes no mistake, smashing it past Buffon with the help of a slight deflection. The San Siro is in full voice now.
  • 26'
Great play from Zarate as he gets around Barzagli and gets a free look, only to fire past the near post.
  • 24'
Now it's Juve's turn for some heart-stopping defense. Luckily for the visitors, though, two poor decisions from Pirlo and an ill-advised challenge from Bonucci (for the first yellow of the match), have gone unpunished.
  • 22'
    Yellow Card Leonardo Bonucci
  • 21'
A miscue from Chiellini and Maicon drives into the box! But Buffon came out well and forced the ball behind, apparently off Maicon, much to the dismay of the Brazilian.
  • 20'
Inter finds itself shell-shocked as Juve could have had more by now, but the defensive woes should surprise nobody.
  • 13'
Matri nearly makes it two! He is through, but his shot trickles just wide of the far post. Scary moments for Inter.
  • 12'
    Assist Alessandro Matri
  • 12'
    Goal Mirko Vučinić
  • 12'
GOAL JUVENTUS! Sloppy defending from Inter as Matri expertly found Lichtsteiner charging forward down the left. Matri's initial tap-in was well-saved, but Castellazzi could do nothing as Vucinic finished it. Inter had been the better side, but was undone by their own poor defending.
  • 7'
After seven sustained minutes of Inter pressure, a hole appears in its back line as Vucinic nearly threads through for Matri, only to see his pass collected by Castellazzi.
  • 4'
Cambiasso so close! A free kick into the area is headed across to an open Cambiasso, but it's a little behind him and his acrobatic shot flies inches past Buffon's far post.
  • 3'
Nice spell of pressure here as Inter is penetrating early down the left. Pazzini's clever redirect of a Maicon shot forced a reaction out of Buffon, but in the end it was an easy-save for the battle-tested shot-stopper.
  • 1'
The game is underway at the San Siro!
  • Claudio Ranieri's Inter will line up accordingly: Castellazzi, Lucio, Zanetti, Maicon, Chivu, Nagatomo, Sneijder, Cambiassio, Obi, Pazzini, Zarate
  • Gigi Buffon will get the start in goal after returning form injury as the Juve teamsheet reads: Buffon, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Pirlo, Pepe, Vidal, Marchisio, Vucinic, Matri
