Given little to do, but saved very well in the second half from Bergessio
Produced a great attacking display complete with a stunning goal, all without neglecting his defensive responsibilities.
Gave a good account of himself, and dealt well with crosses when they came in on a leisurely afternoon.
Made no mistakes and fed Kharja plenty of ball to begin Inter's attacks.
Remained solid to lead a defense which was rarely threatened. Never looked anything other than comfortable.
A quiet afternoon for the Veteran but did well in tightening up the midfield and allowing Kharja and Stankovic to get forward
Anchored a midfield which totally dominated that of Catania. Made no mistakes on what was a comfortable afternoon for the Brazilian
Most of the creativity in midfield came through Kharja, but Stankovic was ever present when called on, and moved the ball well.
Was Inter’s main man in the first half, shining in the absence of Sneijder and setting up Pazzini’s opener.
Taken off at half-time, but consistently created problems for Catania during the first half with his pace and lightning reflexes
Great performance, complete with a two-goal haul. Starting to look the part of hitman for the Milanese side. Great finish for the opener.
Conceded three times, but in reality there was little he could have done. Reacted well when tested from distance.
Didn’t have the easiest task ahead of him marking Pazzini, Milito and Eto’o, but managed to hold off the latter two under pressure.
Didn’t look comfortable defending, and allowed Pazzini too much space which ultimately hurt the Sicilian outfit
Couldn’t get the ball off Kharja and was second best in the first half. Replaced shortly afterwards.
Kharja and Nagatomo took turns running at the Italian who truly looked as though he was waiting for the full time whistle all day.
Wasn’t prepared for the attacking Nagatomo and suffered for it. Turned inside out on more than one occasion.
Starved of service but managed to get a few shots away. Looked lonely up front for large chunks of the match.
Had a good first half but his influence inevitably was drowned out as Inter took control during the second period.
Was swallowed up by a dominant Inter midfield. Saw little of the ball and didn't do much with it on the rare occasion he was in possession.
Found the net for Catania’s solitary goal, finishing well under pressure. Deserves honorable mention in a side which disappointed.

Came on in the aftermath of Catania’s goal and ensured that it was the last one they were to get.
Gave a concentrated performance while his team mates tied up the three points. Wasn't called on much while on the field.

- 27 G. Pandev
Had an immediate impact, setting up Pazzini with a pinpoint cross. Looked as though he enjoyed his afternoon despite missing a few chances.

Failed to impact a game which was already lost and succumbed to Inter’s total dominance of midfield.
Was faced with too great a task in turning the game around, although his performance did not lack in effort.
Fared better than those who went before him, looked lively in an otherwise dead midfield.
