Houston kept its home form going strong with a big win over San Jose, matching a 34-game home unbeaten record set by Real Salt Lake in 2011.The Houston Dynamo kept its incredible form at BBVA Compass Stadium alive with a 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday.
Will Bruin scored his first goal of the year in the 18th minute. Some brilliant work down the right by Oscar Boniek Garcia saw the Honduran fire a dangerous ball across the face of goal for Bruin to turn into the net, giving the home side and early lead.
Just before the break Giles Barnes made it 2-0. Brad Davis supplied the cross with a nice angled ball from the left that pulled Jon Busch off his line. Barnes bombed into the box with a well timed run and headed home, leaving the goalkeeper stranded and doubling Houston's advantage.
Chris Wondolowski had a golden chance to pull one back in the 68th minute but couldn't manage to get a touch on Cordell Cato's cross with the goal at his mercy.
