Made a couple of decent stops in the first half, and looked secure enough from corners. Little he could do with Gomez's goal, though.
Came as close as anyone to scoring for Hoffenheim with a lovely shot which Starke saved well.
Made a few early blocks and looked fairly secure at the back in the face of Bayern's fearsome, but somewhat stale attack.
Helped to keep Bayern fairly quiet in attack with a solid performance at the back, and was unlucky not to keep out the goal.
Started in a fairly lively manner, but faded badly. Had a hard time in tracking Bayern's wingers and Lahm.
Threatened a couple of times with some decent set pieces, and was fairly lively in the first half, but faded badly after the break.
Made a few bursts forward from midfield and came as close to threatening Starke as anyone. Arguably his side's liveliest player.
A combative presence in the center of midfield, he worked well in tandem with Williams in keeping Bayern at bay.
Failed to show Bayern that they were wrong to get rid of him. Was absolutely harmless before the break and was hauled off at halftime.
Failed to live up to his current form, and didn't threaten Bayern in any way whatsoever. Completely anonymous.

Barely had a sniff of the ball and when he was in possession, he looked well off the boil.
Looked a little off the pace in the first half, but responded well in the second, making some decent saves, not least from Schrock.
Put in a typical performance, combining well with Muller without abandoning his post at the back. As solid as ever.
Picked up a booking early on for a clumsy tackle, but bounced back by helping to set up the goal. Read the game well at the back.
Got up and down the left well enough, and although he abandoned his station at the back once or twice, Bayern was not duly troubled.
Stood firm at the back, helping to keep Hoffenheim quiet on the break. As solid as he has ever been for Bayern.
Saw plenty of the ball, but failed to utilize it, sending pass after pass to the opposition. Does not look capable of playing as a No.10 yet.
Set up the goal and was a constant threat down the wing once more, terrorizing the defense.
Was unlucky to see two free kicks cannon off the bar and dictated the play in midfield. Looks to be getting back to his magnificent best.
Lucky not to be booked for a first-half tackle, but was steady in midfield, without standing out.
Like Shaqiri, he really didn't look up to the pace of the game on the day, sending in a number of tame passes and giving the ball away.
Did what he does best - getting in the right place at the right time and helping Bayern to victory. Did his chances of a first-team place no harm.
