Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Wales take a huge stride towards qualifying for the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Georgia this evening. Tom Lawrence scored the only goal of the game to secure the three points, putting pressure on Ireland to respond with a victory against Moldova this evening. It also puts strain on Serbia at the top with Wales' dreams of automatic qualification not over yet.
FULL-TIME: GEORGIA 0-1 WALES
90' + 3' THAT'S IT! The referee ends the contest.
90' + 3' Ramsey takes the ball downfield into the corner and that should allow Wales to kill enough time to see out the win.
90' + 2' Kakabadze latches on to a throughball down the right and Wales are exposed at the back. The full-back has space and time, but he goes for the cross rather than the shot and there's no white shirt there to attack the ball. A huge let off for the visitors.

Wales

D. Khotcholava
V. Gvilia
Georgia
89' Gvilia makes way for Khotcholava.
89' Wales clear the danger from the resulting corner, but it's all hands on deck for the visitors.
88' SCRAMBLE! Skhirtladze turns in the box and almost gets a shot away. Gvilia takes over but he gets crowded out before he can shoot. Georgia keep the attack alive and Navalovski sends a cross to the back post, but Davies heads behind.
85' Wales are trying to kill the clock by taking the ball into the corner. All valuable seconds for Coleman's men in their bid to hang on here.
83' Georgia are growing in confidence and are beginning to put Wales under a great deal of pressure at the back.
D. Edwards
J. Ledley
Wales
81' Ledley makes way for Edwards.
80' Jighauri has space down the right and he swings a cross into the box early in an attempt to catch the visitors out at the back, but Williams defends well to clear the danger.
79' CHANCE! Wales are opened up down the left and Merebashvili cuts back to shoot on his right foot. His effort takes a slight deflection, but falls perfectly for Hennessey to gather at his near post. A scare for the visitors.
77' Ramsey drifts into space in the right inside channel, but his delivery into middle just goes over Robson-Kanu's head.
D. Skhirtladze
G. Kvilitaia
Georgia

J. Jighauri
N. Kvekveskiri

H. Robson-Kanu
S. Vokes
Wales
74' Robson-Kanu replaces Vokes for the visitors.
72' Chester goes on a surge through the middle of the Georgia defence and he makes it all the way to the edge of the box before he gets dispossessed by Kashia.
70' CHANCE! Ramsey has space to drive forward on the edge of the box and he fires low towards the target. Loria makes an uncovincing stop and parries the ball into the six-yard box. Vokes tries to react, but the keeper does enough to deflect the ball back off the striker and out for a goal-kick.
69' The contest is very much in the balance as although Georgia have produced a clear-cut threat in the second half - the longer Wales go without a second goal, the more their nerves will build.
67' BLOCK! Wales break with numbers and advance into the box with Ramsey and King. The former flicks the ball back into the path of Davies, who strikes on the volley, only to see his effort blocked by Kverkvelia.
65' Georgia are starting to get their foot on the ball once again and are winning the battle for territory, edging out of their own half.
62' Wales clear the danger from the resulting corner, but that was a warning for Coleman's men despite their dominance since the break.
61' Kakabadze raids down the right flank and is allowed to send a low cross into the box, but Chester diverts the ball behind for a corner. Wales fell asleep at the back there.
59' Georgia break at the other end of the pitch and the ball comes to Merebashvili to strike from distance, but he scuffs his effort well wide of the post.
58' Wales probe on the edge of the box and neat one-touch passes almost release Vokes in the box, but Kakabadze does enough to stop him from firing at goal with a sliding challenge.
57' Wales have come out for the second half with much better control of the contest. They're playing the game in the Georgia half and have the home side penned back in their own box.
T. Lawrence
Yellow Card
Wales
55' Lawrence goes into the book for a loose challenge.
53' WIDE! Lawrence raids down the left before cutting inside on his right foot. He is afforded time to shoot on his right foot, but sends his effort just past the post.
51' The goal will relax the visitors now in their bid to wrap up the three points. They would have been tense at the break, but Lawrence's brilliance should be ease the tension.

49' GOALLLLLLLL!!!!!! LAWRENCE OPENS HIS ACCOUNT FOR WALES! The visitors take the lead through a fine strike from Lawrence. He collects a short pass from Ramsey before turning past the challenge of Kverkvelia. He takes another touch before his strike and his right-footed effort powers into the bottom corner. A huge moment for Coleman's men.
48' Poor from the Arsenal man again as his first cross is cleared, while his second delivery from the right flank sails into the hands of Loria.
47' Kankava brings down Vokes in the Georgia half and the visitors have an early chance to threaten, pending a good delivery from Ramsey.
46' We're back underway in Georgia.
It's goalless at the break in Tblisi as neither Georgia nor Wales have managed to produce a breakthrough. Wales have come close through Sam Vokes, Andy King and Tom Lawrence, but they were not able to find the back of the net. Giorgi Kvilitaia had the home side's best opportunity, but from close range he missed the target with a headed effort.
HALF-TIME: GEORGIA 0-0 WALES
45' + 2' The referee ends the first half.
45' + 2' There's another opportunity for Kvekveskiri to send the ball into the box and this time he floats the ball towards the penalty spot, but Hennessey rushes off his line to punch clear.
45' + 1' Kvekveskiri has the opportunty to send a free-kick in from the left flank, but he fails to beat the first defender with his delivery. Georgia have been disappointing with their deliveries for the majortiy of the first half.
45' There will be two minutes of added time.
42' Wales have not been clinical enough in the final third. Coleman will be pleased with the opportunities they've carved out, but his players have snatched at the openings.
40' BLOCK! Ramsey takes the free-kick, but he hammers his effort straight into the wall. Disappointing from the Arsenal man.
39' Kankava catches Lawrence with a loose challenge and it hands Wales a free-kick in a good position 30 yards from goal.
37' WIDE! Chances are coming and Georgia come close to breaking the deadlock as Kakabadze raids down the flank. He lifts a pinpoint cross in from the right and Kvilitaia rises to meet the ball. However, he can only direct his header wide of the post.
36' CHANCE! Vokes steers the ball into the path of the on-rushing Lawrence on the edge of the box. He shapes to place the ball into the top corner, but does not get over his strike and lifts it just over the bar. Lawrence did not hit that effort with conviction.
34' WIDE! Chester fails to get depth on his headed clearance from a long ball forward and Gvilia pounces on the loose ball 20 yards from goal. The midfielder goes for the spectacular, but slices his volley wide of the post.
33' BLOCK! Qazaishvili lines up a piledriver from distance, but Williams gets himself in the way of the ball to make the block.
33' Navalovski collects a long ball over to the left flank and he brings the ball down well. He fires a low cross towards the near post, but Chester is there to hammer the ball to safety.
30' CLOSE! Vokes comes within inches of finding the net as he gets across his man, but steers his strike from Ramsey's cross just wide of the post. It was a good cross from the Arsenal man and the forward was alert to the ball, but he just couldn't find the net.
30' Williams puts Hennessey under pressure with a short backpass that almost Kvilitaia to threaten, but the keeper holds his composure and finds Davies.
28' Ledley's cross is cleared with ease by the Georgia defence. The final ball has been lacking from both teams thus far in the contest.
27' Vokes is pushed down in the Georgia half and Ledley has an opportunity to swing a cross in from the right flank.
25' Coleman will be concerned that his side are lacking control of the game. The home team have put a good press on the red shirts and are using ball well enough in the middle of the park, but are lacking quality in the final third.
23' Ledley brings down Merebashvili in the Wales half and he has to be careful as a yellow card would see him banned for the final game.
21' Williams has to be alert at the back to clear the danger from Gvilia's ball over the top as Kankava was aiming to break in behind the Wales defence.
20' Georgia have responded well to the threat from Wales and are moving the ball around with ease in the visitors' half.
17' SAVE! King comes close to handing his side the lead as he latches on to Allen's scoop over the top. He has to wait for the ball to come down and the midfielder doesn't quite connect properly with his strike. However, his slice heads towards the net, but Loria sticks out a hand and turns it away from goal and the red shirts in the box.
16' Coleman's men have been forced back after their initial forays into the final third. Patience may be required to find their rhythm.
14' Fortunately for Wales the resulting delivery from the corner is cleared at the near post by Ledley and the attack from the home side peters out.
13' Kakabadze probes again down the right flank and Ledley has to cover ground, but he concedes a corner in the process.
12' Wales have to be resilient at the back to clear the danger from the corner. The second delivery collected by Kakabadze on the opposite flank is well defended by Davies at his near post.
11' Navalovski raids into the left channel as he collects a long ball forward. He sends the ball low into the box, but Chester is there to clear behind.
9' The home side are just starting to resist the pressure and are forcing the red shirts back into their own half. Better from Georgia.
7' Ramsey collect a pass from Davies inside the box, but he takes a loose touch and allows the white shirts to regain possession.
5' The Dragons have made a good start to the contest and have the home side on the back foot in the early exchanges.
3' CHANCE! Lawrence finds Ramsey in the final third and the Arsenal midfielder finds space in the box, but he drills his low strike wide of the post. A huge opportunity spurned for Wales.
2' Allen and King threaten down the right and the latter launches a cross into the box, but it sails above the head of Vokes and Loria punches the ball to safety.
1' Gvilia releases Kvilitaia into the left inside channel in the early stages, but the ball just runs away from the forward in the final third.
1' We're underway in Tblisi.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
FLASHBACK! Wales could only muster a draw in their contest earlier in qualifying against Georgia. Bale put them ahead in the 10th minute, but Tornike Okriashvili scored a second-half equaliser to earn his side a point in Cardiff.
Wales have made two changes from their side that beat Moldova last time out. Sam Vokes and Joe Ledley come into the side this evening, with the absence of Bale potentially looming large.
Wales subs: Taylor, Robson-Kanu, Bradshaw, Maxwell, Brooks, Edwards, Ampadu, Lockyer, Williams, Ward, Woodburn, Hedges.
WALES (4-3-2-1): Hennessey; Gunter, Williams, Chester, Davies; King, Allen, Ledley; Lawrence, Ramsey; Vokes.
Georgia subs: Makaridze, Lobzhanidze, Khotcholava, Kiteishvili, Dvalishvili, Chanturia, Kvaskhvadze, Dvali, Hufnagel, Skhirtladze, Aburjania, Jigauri.
GEORGIA (4-1-4-1): Loria; Kakabadze, Kverkvelia, Kashia, Navalovski; Kvekveskiri; Merebashvili, Kankava, Gvilia, Qazaishvili; Kvilitaia.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Georgia are already out of the qualification picture, having suffered three defeats in their eight matches. They're yet to win a match during qualifying and their five points have come from five draws. A similar result could be fatal for Wales' hopes this afternoon.
Wales will have to play tonight without their star man Gareth Bale. The Real Madrid man has returned to Spain after suffering a calf injury, leaving his team exposed in the final third without his presence.
This is a huge contest for Chris Coleman's men in their bid to reach the World Cup next year. Wales are in possession of second place, but hold only a one-point lead over Ireland. The Dragons cannot afford a slip-up this afternoon, but could put pressure on Serbia with a victory.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the World Cup qualifying clash between Georgia and Wales.
