David Luiz 30'
J. Terry 43', 71'
That concludes our LIVE! coverage of this game, it was a pleasure to have your company as always. I’ve been Chris Teale, see you soon.
90' + 4'
FULL-TIME, and Chelsea move up to third place in the Premier League table thanks to a very comfortable 3-0 win away to Fulham. John Terry scored twice thanks to some slack marking by the home side, with David Luiz’s candidate for goal of the season opening the Blues’ account this evening. The Cottagers had their chances, although they just could not break down a resolute Chelsea defence and get any momentum of their own. The Blues, meanwhile, looked solid and professional throughout, with this game causing them few alarms.
90' + 2'
That would have been a good free kick from Rodallega, but for Ruiz getting in the way and blocking it.
Riether hasn't given up on this one yet as he bombs forward yet again down the right. We're nearly done though, with four minutes of stoppage time left in the game.
Demba Ba clearly fancies a piece of the action as he leathers one well over the bar from outside the box.
This is all very well Fulham having the ball, but they're going nowhere with it and eventually Cech is able to gather.
Chelsea look happy to wind this game down now, with the three points assured barring some kind of miracle.
Well then. Petr Cech spills a routine cross under pressure from Rodallega and just about manages to recover it before the Fulham man can take advantage.
Good running there from Hugo Rodallega, but the defending from Ivanovic is just as good as he concedes a corner.
Good pass there from Moses towards substitute Oscar, although there's slightly too much pace on the ball and it goes out.
John Obi Mikel
Chelsea have slowed right down now as they make a few changes to their team. It's their 60th game this season, so rotation is the order of the day with this match won.
Good free kick there from Ruiz, but there is Cech to catch the ball well under pressure.
Assist Fernando Torres
Goal John Terry
GOAL!!! Chelsea lead 3-0! The corner comes in, is flicked on well by Torres and there is John Terry again to bury another header after more slack marking. Game over.
Interestingly, Senderos' header was going in, so if Petric had left that he would not have been called offside and the goal would have stood. Then, up goes Moses again to force a good save from Schwarzer after cutting in on his right foot.
Chance! Offside! Karagounis hits a superb corner in that's headed on by Senderos towards Petric, who manages to put the ball over bar from all of a yard out. However, the flag is raised.
Interesting from the referee, who deems Enoh's challenge on Mata to be a fair one but then penalises Chelsea for a soft one just outside their own penalty area.
The Blues come bustling forward, with several players running either side of Moses. However, he doesn't get his head up and sends an aimless ball forward that Schwarzer has no problem gathering.
Moses is in space and does well to find a pass, although none of Mata, Lampard or Torres can get proper contact on a shot.
Petric is urged to shoot by the Fulham fans and does so, but sends the ball horribly wide.
That's another great cross from Riether, who finds Petric at the near post but unfortunately his shot goes wide.
Ambitious lobbed ball there from Mata towards Moses that is comfortable once again for Schwarzer on the bounce.
Chance! Great play there from Chelsea involving Ivanovic and Lampard finds Torres on the right. His driven shot is a good one that goes just wide with Schwarzer beaten.
That's the way. Berbatov and Petric finally get close enough together to link up, although the referee blows for offside.
Ouch. Torres turns past Brede Hangeland but then Fulham's captain brings him down before he can race clear.
Slight delay here after a clash of heads between Emanuelson and Hazard. Both will be OK to continue, though.
Much better there from Fulham, who see two good crosses just about headed clear. A good corner followed that as well, although Chelsea deal with it comfortably.
Great pressure from Chelsea, then Lampard looks to release Moses with a long pass that unfortunately goes out for a throw.
Decent ball there from Ruiz towards Berbatov, although it's a little too heavy and goes into Cech's arms.
Yellow Card Philippe Senderos
Senderos is then booked for a poor tackle on Victor Moses, the first caution of the second period.
Wowzers. Torres starts well as he dispossesses Berbatov and ploughs forward with purpose. He doesn't go anywhere, but that's some real intent from the Spaniard.
Here we are for the second half, which is kicked off by Fulham.
45' + 1'
HALF-TIME, and Chelsea lead 2-0 thanks to David Luiz’s bolt from the blue and John Terry’s header. The Blues have looked pretty comfortable so far, holding their shape well and preventing Fulham from getting going at all. The Cottagers have had some good chances through Bryan Ruiz and Dimitar Berbatov, but in truth they have been second-best to their west London rivals. If they continue like this, Chelsea will have no problems at all wrapping up the three points this evening.
Yellow Card Bryan Ruiz
Dear me. Terry hangs a leg slightly but Ruiz falls over it very dramatically in the penalty area and is bookef for simulation.
Assist Juan Mata
Goal John Terry
GOAL!!! Chelsea lead 2-0! Terrible marking from Senderos, Mata crosses in and there is John Terry at the back post to head home. That gives the Blues some breathing space.
Heavens. That was quite a free kick from Lampard, which forces Schwarzer to make a quite unorthodox save for a corner.
Really good effort there from Berbatov, who catches a shot with the outside of his foot but bends the ball just wide.
Chelsea must be delighted with this, Fulham have virtually no options for a pass at all. Emanuelson then tries to loft one for Ruiz, but sees Ryan Bertrand head it clear.
Oh dear. Torres comes forward on the right of the box but blasts a shot well over the bar with Hazard screaming for a pull-back. That's poor from the striker.
Good save! Urby Emanuelson cuts on his right foot and sees his deflected shot palmed away brilliantly by Cech for a corner,.
Great battling from Eyong Enoh to win the ball back for Fulham, although he's perhaps tried a little bit too hard and sees the ball regained by the away side.
That's a great ball through onto a superb run from Berbatov, who nearly gets his foot on the end of it. He's tracked well by Ivanovic, but that was so close to an equaliser.
Chelsea want more, as Moses creates some space for himself but then fires the ball well over the bar.
Assist Eden Hazard
Goal David Luiz
GOAL!!! What a goal!!! David Luiz gets the ball and hits an absolute thunderbolt from around 30 yards out into the top corner! Incredible! 1-0 Chelsea!
Then, Chelsea charge up the other end and see Victor Moses play a superb ball from the right across the penalty area. However, there's no one there and the chance goes begging.
A great cut-back there from Ruiz finds Riise in plenty of space inside the penalty area, but the Norwegian's shot is tame and gathered easily be Cech.
Riether is off down the middle on a good run, although Berbatov's pass to him is slightly too long and goes through to Petr Cech.
Poor from Philippe Senderos, who gives the ball straight to Hazard in his own half. However, the Blues can't take advantage and Schwarzer gathers once again.
Great shot! Karagounis cuts in from the left and hammers it from long-range just over the bar. He's scored some crackers this season and that was almost another.
Ivanovic gets the ball and swings a cross in from the right towards Torres, but there is Schwarzer to catch it well.
Ouch. Eden Hazard is full of tricks but is then clattered to the ground by John Arne Riise. Chelsea building here again.
Replays show it was far too heavy, actually. Ivanovic dived in with two feet there, and if he'd made more contact could have been sent off.
Yellow Card Branislav Ivanovic
The first yellow card of the evening has been awarded to Ivanovic, after he's judged to have gone in a little heavily on Mladen Petric.
The first corner of the evening is for Chelsea, with Juan Mata's delivery finding John Terry, who heads well wide.
Oh, Sacher. A pass finds him on the right completely open, but the ball bobbles over his foot and goes out. Shame for the Fulham right-back, who has looked very handy this season.
Superb from Dimitar Berbatov, who looks like he's lost the ball to a combination of Ramires and Torres but manages to keep it quite brilliantly.
Branislav Ivanovic is down for a long time with what is apparently a life-threatening injury in the centre circle. Fulham end up kicking the ball out, then Ivanovic is up and running around. How frustrating for the Cottagers.
Chelsea have really grown into this game and are having a good spell of sustained possession. However, Fulham manage to hold their shape and wrestle the ball back.
Great stuff from Lampard, who gets on the end of a Fernando Torres knock-down and gives it a good whack. However, Mark Schwarzer has few problems gathering that one.
The first decent spell of possession here for Chelsea, although they gift the ball back to Ruiz. Thankfully for the Blues, Ramires is there to slide the ball out of play.
Oh dear. Georgios Karagounis goes down in the centre circle, having apparently received a blow to the head. The Greek midfielder should be fine, though.
What a wonderful cross from Riether, Bryan Ruiz comes past John Terry and should really score on the volley from six yards out. Great chance for the home side early on.
Sascha Riether gets forward early on, but his cross is blocked well by a Chelsea body. He clearly fancies his chances down the right.
We’re off! Chelsea kick off the first half.
Here come the teams, with the start not far away.
Incidentally, Frank Lampard is making his 600th appearance for Chelsea tonight, one of just three to do so for the Blues. Meanwhile, David Luiz is making his 100th appearance tonight for the away side, on the ground where he made his debut for the club.
Martin Jol makes two changes to the Fulham side that drew with Aston Villa, bringing in John Arne Riise and Mladen Petric for Kieran Richardson and Damien Duff. The Irishman was a slight doubt for this game with a groin problem he sustained last time out, but he’s come through. Meanwhile, Chelsea welcome back Frank Lampard and John Terry to their starting XI as part of four changes to the team that lost to Manchester City. Victor Moses and Fernando Torres also return for the Blues.
Now, Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Bertrand; Ramires, Lampard; Moses, Mata, Hazard; Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Oscar, Mikel, Azpilicueta, Benayoun, Ake, Ba.
How are the teams lining up tonight? First, here’s Fulham: Schwarzer; Riether, Senderos, Hangeland, Riise; Ruiz, Enoh, Karagounis, Emanuelson; Berbatov, Petric. Subs: Etheridge, Richardson, Hughes, Manolev, Frimpong, Frei, Rodallega.
Meanwhile, Chelsea were disappointed to be knocked out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage, although they are still in the Champions League places with at least one game in hand on their nearest rivals. With their European campaign also still underway, it promises to be a busy end to the season for Rafael Benitez’s side, starting tonight as they travel to a ground where they have not lost in the league since 2006.
Fulham have had a very good season indeed and find themselves in 10th place in the league with six games left to play. Martin Jol’s side have struggled recently, losing to Newcastle and then drawing with Aston Villa last time out. However, they will be hopeful of success at their home ground this evening, especially if striker Dimitar Berbatov is on form and supported well by his team-mates.
Good evening, and welcome to Goal.com’s LIVE! text commentary on this Premier League clash between Fulham and Chelsea. I’m Chris Teale, thanks for being there.
