  • So Jelavic's goal drought is over as he scores Everton's winner against Tottenham again. You couldn't write the script.
  • Tottenham lose for the first time since the North London derby. They didn't deserve to win, and their goal was rather fortunate, but I'm sure AVB's men will be feeling sick at the manner of which they lost this.
  • David Moyes' side move level on points with Tottenham as they end their run of four games without a win.
  • WHAT A TURNAROUND. Everton have dominated this game and were just two minutes away from a barely deserved defeat before Steven Pienaar nodded home to level things from Coleman's cross. The Everton fans were in raptures at having saved a point but things got even better as Vellios missed an overhead attempt and the ball fell to Jelavic to sweep home from a matter of yards. 2-1. Incredible.

  • This game badly needs a goal. Tune in for the second half to see if we get one.
  • It's been an even half. After an explosive start it petered out as the half wore-on before a lively end just before the interval. There's been a lock of goal action however, and the sides go in with the scores goalless.

  • 15 minutes to go until kick-off. In today's early kick-off Manchester United are currently winning 2-0 at the Etihad against Manchester City, thanks to two goals from Wayne Rooney.
  • Tottenham currently hold the last Champions League place as they sit fourth in the league table, while Everton are three points behind them in seventh. Only one strike separates the sides on goal difference, so even though we're still in the first half of the season, this game could be crucial come the end of the year when it comes to the chase for Europe.
  • Spurs meanwhile are currently firmly on form, despite the absence of the injured Gareth Bale. Since losing in the North London Derby last month, they go into today's fixture having won all of their last three league games.
  • The Croatian has not scored in his last four games however, with Everton drawing three and losing one of their last four matches.
