90' + 2'
Still no response from Everton as Lukaku heads forward towards goal, but Diakite deflects it away. Just a minute left of stoppage time. Can Sunderland hold on, it would be a superb victory.
Into the first of three additional minutes at Goodison Park.
Barkley drops deeper, into defence, and brings the ball forward. Towards Coleman, whose cross finds Oviedo - who cannot control the ball with the audacious bicycle kick he's gone for. Everton still with the ball.
Sunderland had not scored a Premier League away goal since Crystal Palace on 31st August. They had not won away in the Premier League since the Tyne Wear Derby under Paolo di Canio in April. They have two minutes to hang on.
And still Everton threaten, right until the last. Sunderland can't keep the ball . Barkley's long cross forward for Lukaku is easily held by Mannone.
JELAVIC! HEADED OFF THE LINE!! Sunderland surviving by the skin of their teeth. From the corner, it's helped on with the header and Borini is on hand to head the ball off the line!
BARKLEY!! WHAT A SAVE BY MANNONE! From the free-kick, it was heading towards the top corner, but Mannone with a superb one-handed save to deny the midfielder. Corner.
Free-kick to Everton as Lukaku is upended by Valentin Roberge. Everton have the ball in a decent position. Barkley or Jelavic? Looks to be the young midfielder here...
Barkley's had a huge impact in this game, getting on the ball in every attack from the hosts, and testing the goalkeeper - though this time, he's fired over the bar.
BARRY!! Low shot from distance and it's a neat save by Mannone. But in the build-up, Barkley's long-range effort looked to have hit a hand, no penalty awarded.
Pinball in the Sunderland box, after Barkley's free-kick causes havoc in the area. Lukaku can't get a decent touch, nor can Jelavic. Fletcher is down after a collision with Jelavic.
FLETCHER!! Horrible miss. A superb pass by Giaccherini who carves open the Toffees defence. Into Fletcher, under pressure from the oncoming goalkeeper, and he fires wide.
SUBSTITUTION - Nikica Jelavic replaces Steven Pienaar.
OVIEDO!! A stinging effort from Oviedo, despite on his weaker foot. Decent height for the goalkeeper, who is forced into a top save. Corner.
Everton pile on the pressure as they seek a late equaliser. Barkley into space on the right, with a cross towards Lukaku, whose poor control allows Bardsley to get the ball away.
Everton still outstripping Sunderland in the possession count, but are still behind despite seeing 57% of the ball. Lukaku cuts in on his left and fires over. He's had an off day.
Sunderland are looking for a penalty after a clumsy challenge from Pienaar on Borini in the box, but the referee waves play on. It's opening up into an end-to-end encounter for the last 20 minutes.
SUBSTITUTION: First change for Sunderland. Jack Colback has been replaced by Emanuele Giaccherini.
BARKLEY!! Inches away from equalising. Sunderland just cannot get the ball away cleanly, and the England international fires a powerful effort narrowly wide of goal. It's literally just curled millimeters away.
BARKLEY!! Great shot, and it's got a bit of a bounce on the ball. Allowed to run at the Sunderland defence, and it's a top save from Mannone, who parries to his right. Barkley's a huge threat since coming on.
FLETCHER! Moves into a bit of space after an accurate pass from Ki. Takes a cool touch and fires towards goal, and it's a good save by Joel Robles.
Everton's back four have another momentary lapse in concentration once more, as Steven Fletcher as a chance to beat the defence, but not the goalkeeper as he pulls up after looking at the linesman for an offside call.
Coleman powers forward on the right wing and picks off Lukaku - a neat dummy to bamboozle the defender, and play it back to Coleman, but Roberge is on hand to deflect the ball away.
Cattermole brings the ball forward, as Sunderland look to suppress the fast-paced level of the game. Ki takes over, but they lose possession. Everton counter, but it's wonderfully intercepted.
Gus Poyet is furious with the amount of space Everton have been given in this second half, with the Black Cats penned in their half since the interval. Another corner, and it's wasted once more.
LUKAKU! Another chance goes begging for the hosts, From the corner, it's a decent header at goal from Jagielka, spilled by Robles once more, and Lukaku, about a yard out can't get a clean hit on the ball and it's saved.
All Everton at the moment. Oviedo turns his marker and delivers a cross into the danger zone. With a bit of pace on the ball, it takes a nick off Modibo Diakite, and out for a corner.
Everton had been ramping up the pressure recently, but another awful delivery has scupped their chances with the corner cut out at the first hurdle by Colback.
Barkley's corner kick finds no-one, but Pienaar is behind it, and attempts to deliver back into the box once more. Lukaku finds space to utilise in the box, under pressure from Cattermole, and Sunderland concede a corner.
Lukaku's rather lax showing up front continues to be highlighted, as Coleman finds the forward, whose rather lazy pass is cut out. Eventually, Everton win their second corner.
Martinez shakes his head at Mannone's bit of timewasting, which goes unpunished. Diakite sets up Fletcher with a neat pass, and the forward flicks it on, towards Larsson, but Jagielka sees the ball safely back to the goalkeeper.
Barkley and Lukaku combine, and now it's McCarthy who drives forward. Back into Barkley, but his cross towards Lukaku is met with a foul on Roberge.
DIAKITE! What a chance! Should be 2-0 there. Lovely free-kick from Larsson, right into the area with Celutska losing composure for a strike at goal. Diakite behind it, and it's blocked behind.
UNDERWAY in the second half. Can Everton turn it around in this second period? Their home record is under threat.
SUBSTITUTION - Kevin Mirallas has been replaced by Ross Barkley due to illness.

45' + 2'
The numerical advantage is telling here, as Celutska picks up the ball on the right, into the path of Colback with Borini picking up the pass at the other end. All queuing up, but no final strike. And that's the end of the first half.
45' + 1'

FLETCHER! Hasn't had too many chances in this encounter, but gets a half-chance this time, and blazes over. Mirallas still not out on the pitch, and Everton are surviving with nine.
Everton momentarily down to nine with Mirallas off the pitch for an unspecified reason. The Toffees need to defend, and do so well as Sunderland plough forward.
Everton survive, and attack the other end. Lukaku in possession attempts a backheel into the path of Mirallas, but it is easily blocked by Roberge. The Belgian hasn't been in this yet.
ROBLES! Fantastic save after a horrible first fumble. Everton are light at the back as Bardsley feeds Ki, who in turn picks out Celutska in place. The Czech right-back fires at Robles, who fumbles the pass into the path of Larsson, and this time the young Spaniard beats it away!
Celutska is fed a neat pass on the right hand side, as he attempts a delivery into the box. Oviedo tracking back, and does well to regain possession of the ball but Sunderland have it back. It's all Poyet's men at the minute.
Poor delivery from Oviedo, but there's an offside call here. Distin is furious as he felt he was impeded by Bardsley as Mannone came out to punch. But Sunderland have done well defensively in the first half-hour.
Roberto Martinez watches on pensively, as his side are now a man and a goal down, but they have a free-kick from distance. What can they work here?
Superb run by Kevin Mirallas who latches onto the loose ball to burst into the penalty area. Too much pace on the ball, and loses out to Colback, who wins a free-kick after the Belgian left a foot in.
Everton fans are getting right behind their side to turn it around now, as Oviedo attempts to find Lukaku on the far side, but it is an unsuccessful move.
Leon Osman's afternoon is also over, after his momentary lapse in concentration saw him become the unfortunate player to be sacrificed in place of substitute goalkeeper Joel Robles.

Roberto Martinez's men are not quite able to beat the Sunderland defence as of yet, with Seamus Coleman putting in a shift on the far side. Has a task against Bardsley.
Another half-chance from Everton, who pass the ball around so fluidly - it's Lukaku who picks up Osman, who finds Oviedo in space. Into Barry how delivers a deep cross, with Mannone claiming.
Sunderland are without the likes of Wes Brown and John O'Shea, with Diakite and Valentin Roberge playing together for only the second time this season. Meanwhile, Everton press ahead.

Everton have a corner here. Edging above 70% in possession in the opening stages, Gareth Barry heads narrowly over the bar after a decent delivery.
Everton are unbeaten in 2013 in the league at Goodison Park. A fine achievement if they avoid defeat today, and at the weekend against Southampton.
Poor free-kick from Mirallas. Goes for goal, and it's a tame shot in the end. A simple stop from Vito Mannone.
Diakite's having a few problems with challenges, as he upends Leon Osman, conceding a free-kick in a dangerous position. Lukaku lurking in the middle.
OVIEDO! Good save from Mannone. The Costa Rican player is teed up by Mirallas on the right, turning in on his favoured left, before striking from distance. A good stop from the goalkeeper, as it was moving in the air.
Few jeers for Fabio Borini, who starts up front, and who is on loan from Liverpool. Sunderland meanwhile can't get a decent hold on the ball at the moment, as Borini fires over from distance.
Osman comes forward from the middle, teeing up Oviedo who arrives on the left. Everton can't breach the Sunderland defence, as Lukaku sets up the midfielder again, but the ball is eventually lost.

Sunderland defeated Everton in their last league meeting in April, which happened to be their first victory in 20 encounters against the Toffees. Can they spring a surprise and win at Goodison for the first time since 1996?
Sunderland are without a Premier League win since the 1-0 victory over Manchester City in early November. They have since beaten Chelsea in the Capital One Cup and are unbeaten in their last two league encounters.
I'm Mohammed Ali, and I'll be guiding you through proceedings at Goodison Park, as the Toffees look to capitalise on their recent good form against a Sunderland side without a Premier League win in six.
