Not a bad performance from the Mexican who made several decent interceptions in the first half in particular. However, he did struggle as the game went on and looked tired near the end.
Struggled especially in the first period with Ronaldo getting the better of him constantly. Resorted to kicking lumps out of the Portuguese international and was lucky to only receive a yellow card.
The young full back played fairly well tonight. He attacked with purpose and helped keep Ozil fairly quiet, forcing the German to drift infield to create opportunities.
Was a little slow in reacting to Higuain's run for Madrid's opening goal yet improved as the game went on. Made a few solid tackles and limited the away side to trying their luck from range at times.
Quiet game from a player who looked uncomfortable on the wing. He struggled to influence the game and show off his usual passing game.
A decent outing from the midfielder who showed vision at times with his range of passing and willingness to get forward. However, his defensive work was not at its best, and in the end Madrid's midfield got the better of him too many times.
Sat in front of the defense and struggled to pick up the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka and Ozil who were constantly moving around. Gave 100 per cent but not his best display.
The midfielder on-loan from Sevilla was his side's liveliest player in the first period and came close to scoring from 40 yards. Disappeared a little in the second half but not the worst player by any means.
The striker did not enjoy a great game. He looked lively at times during the first half and forced a nice save from Casillas late on but was out of the game for large spells.
Lively first half from the French player who had two attempts at goal, but was replaced by Weiss in the second period after visibly tiring.

Bright performance from the deep-lying midfielder who had a hand in Madrid's opening goal. His passing was precise and he also caused havoc in the Espanyol penalty area with his set piece deliveries.
Another impressive game from the Brazilian who appears to have forced his way back into the side's starting lineup. He showed flashes of his old self throughout and was a real handful for the Espanyol back line.
Decent performance from the Frenchman who was a surprise starter for Mourinho's men. He helped keep things ticking over in the center of the park and kept his passing simple.
Linked up well with his fellow attackers and was always looking to make something happen in attack with his vision. Proved he can work alongside Kaka in the Madrid attack, but it wasn't his most productive of evenings.
The Argentine looks like he is returning to his best form following injury problems and was lively throughout. Took all three of his goals brilliantly and has certainly given Mourinho something to think about when Benzema returns from injury.
Caused the home side all sorts of problems and was unlucky not to open the scoring when his long-range drive was pushed onto the post early on. Great awareness to find Higuain for his opening goal and unselfish play to assist Callejon for Madrid's third.
