Eintracht Frankfurt 0-1 Freiburg: Late Rosenthal Goal Seals Victory For Visitors

Jan Rosenthal scored a late winner for Freiburg, who join Mainz and Hoffenheim atop the Bundesliga table.

Freiburg extended their impressive early season run with a narrow victory over struggling Eintracht Frankfurt tonight. A late, 89th minute goal from Jan Rosenthal was enough to see the visitors secure three points.

Freiburg looked the better side throughout the match, but struggled to put their chances away. Papiss Demba Cisse, who had scored a league-leading four goals prior to tonight's match, missed a hatful of opportunities, but in the end, Freiburg managed to take all three points. There were claims of offside before Maximilian Nicu set up Rosenthal's winner, but the referee's flag stayed down.

Their victory puts Freiburg level on points with league leaders Mainz and Hoffenheim, while Frankfurt slump to their third loss in four matches.
