Denmark 0-0 Czech Republic: Petr Cech Penalty Save Denies Danes Victory

Cech saved Krohn-Dehli's penalty

Denmark and the Czech Republic battled to a scoreless draw in front of just under 10,000 fans in Aarhus.

After the opening exchanges, the home side were handed an excellent chance to take the lead in the 18th minute with two former Ajax wingers involved for the Danes. Michal Kadlec was penalised for tugging at Dennis Rommedahl's shirt but his blushes were spared by Petr Cech, who saved the subsequent spot-kick from Michael Krohn-Dehli.

The flow of the game was interrupted throughout the second-half by a plethora of substitutions as both sides rang the changes. However, the Czechs came close to the opener eight minutes from time when Kadlec's free-kick struck the post with Manchester United target Anders Lindegaard beaten in the Danish goal.

A goal proved elusive for both sides as they had to be content with a point in their last international outing of 2010.
