Chris Pontius pulled his club back level just three minutes later, firing home from outside the box after being set up cleverly by Branko Boskovic.
Just after the hour mark, Lewis Neal tucked home a pass from Pontius to give the home side what would turn out to be the winning goal.
The result eliminates the Revs from postseason contention.
