Dallas couldn't hold back the wave from Sporting Kansas City.

Sporting Kansas City earned a massive win on the road, topping FC Dallas 4-1 on the strength of a Graham Zusi brace.

First Half

The match started out in typical fashion with both teams trying to find a rhythm early on. FC Dallas 'keeper Kevin Hartman was forced into a few saves early on but managed to keep the visitors at bay despite Sporting earning a series of early corners.

Int he 28th the match got the opening goal that it needed, courtesy of Zusi who did very well to cut in from the left and bury a righted footed shot into the corner of Hartman's net.

Dallas didn't take long to answer. Four minutes later Brek Shea had the home side on the board with a spectacular solo run through Sporting's back line. Shea split two defenders and used two nice cuts to split two more, freeing himself up in the box for a fairly simple finish.

The rest of the first half played out evenly and the teams went to the break level at 1-1.

Second Half

The second half was all Sporting K.C. Aurelien Collin restored the visitor's lead four minutes after the break after a corner was over-hit and then sent back into the box where he manged to tap it home past Hartman.

Zusi added another six minutes later, and it was a stunner. Zusi hit a free kick from near the center circle which knuckled and dove past the surprised Hartman,  another superb effort to a fine weekend of goals in Major League Soccer.

The only negative for Sporting on the night came in the 56th when Milos Stojcev was sent off for a reckless tackle, his second of the night, but that wouldn't keep the Kansas City side from adding one more.

Luke Sassano finished off Hartman's terrible night at the office with a deft chip in the 78th, the fourth of the night for Sporting, which effectively put any doubts about the outcome to bed.
