With a sudden three-game losing streak putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy, the Sounders look to right the ship at FC Dallas.
Following a strong run of form that saw the team lose just once in 12 matches, the Sounders have dropped three straight by an aggregate score of 10-2. They'll look to rebound in a nationally televised match on NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Seattle's opponent is FC Dallas, which completed a massive collapse Saturday, losing 3-2 to Chicago, and was officially eliminated from the playoffs. Following a strong start, the Hoops have won just two of their past 19 league matches.
A win in Saturday's match would clinch a playoff berth for Seattle, while a draw and help would also earn a spot in the postseason. If both San Jose and Vancouver lose, the Sounders are in the playoffs regardless of their result in Texas.
Goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann made his third career MLS start for Seattle last weekend in Portland, and it is unclear if Seattle coach Sigi Schmid will opt for the veteran again instead of the currently benched Michael Gspurning.
