The Western Conference foes split three games last year with a win and a draw apiece and both are off to strong starts in 2014.After finishing as the bottom two teams in the Western Conference in 2013, FC Dallas and Chivas USA got out of the gates quickly to open 2014.
Both teams have four points from two games this year. Both have scored four times and given up three goals in their first two games. And both will be looking to keep themselves near the top of the West when the two square off in Frisco on Saturday.
FC Dallas kicked off its 2014 campaign with a 3-2 win over Montreal and the team backed that win up with a draw on the road against defending MLS champion Sporting Kansas City on the road. The team returns home to take on a Chivas side on the road for the first time this season.

Chivas USA's year started with a somewhat surprising win over Chicago on opening weekend before the club claimed a credible draw with Montreal on matchday 2.
Despite giving up a late equalizer to the Imapact, Chivas USA boss Wilmer Cabrera is confident his team is ready to hit the road.
“We know that we have a great team," he told the club's official website. "We now have to prepare ourselves for our first away game, which shouldn’t be different from what we have done so far here at home, we just need to continue working with the same mentality and ideas, and mindset.”
