FC Dallas 2-2 Chivas USA: Late comeback gives Chivas point as season winds down

Basement-dwelling Chivas USA picked up a late point as the 2012 campaigns of two teams came to an end

Chivas USA finally displayed the intestinal fortitude it had lacked all season, coming from 2-0 down to draw with FC Dallas in the final game of the season for both sides.

David Ferreira set up two second half goals for the Hoops, picking out Jackson over the top, who chipped Tim Melia in the 73rd, and sliding a perfectly weighted ball to Fabian Castillo in the 80th for what seemed like a comfortable late lead.

But Laurent Courtois gave the Goats a late glimmer of hope, scoring from the edge of the area in the 90th minute, and Agudelo ensured a disappointing year for himself and his team ended on a high note, finishing from close range in the 94th after a pass from Courtois created panic in the Dallas back line.
