Columbus Crew 1-1 Philadelphia Union: Oduro denies Union first Crew Stadium win

Jack McInerney continued his good start to the season, but Columbus stifled the Union's hopes of winning.

The Philadelphia Union took their first ever point at Crew Stadium with a 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew.

Philadelphia scored the game's first goal in the 34th minute. The Union sprung the offside trap and Danny Cruz picked out the unmarked Jack McInerney, who finished with ease into the empty net, the 20-year-old's third goal of the year.

Columbus equalized in the second half to split the spoils. Dominic Oduro unleashed a hard shot from a tight wide angle which beat MacMath and tied the game at one.

The result puts Columbus on a 2-1-2 showing for the season, while Philadelphia's record is 2-2-1.
