Both clubs will hope Major League Soccer's break for the World Cup provided rejuvenation after strong starts have faded.
Despite the break, the Crew will still be without Costa Rican internationals Giancarlo Gonzalez and Waylon Francis, who are preparing to face Greece in the World Cup round of 16.

During the league break, both clubs played two U.S. Open Cup matches, with Dallas staying alive in the competition by completing a Texas two-step and notching wins against the NASL's San Antonio Scorpions and the Houston Dynamo, an MLS rival. The Crew were bounced by the Chicago Fire in a 4-2 extra-time defeat after getting past the Indy Eleven in the fourth round.
In addition to his World Cup absences, Crew coach Gregg Berhalter is also without Ethan Finlay, Josh Williams and Fifi Baiden because of injury, and key midfielders Wil Trapp and Federico Higuain also questionable.
The visitors will reportedly be without Fabian Castillo, who is set to be suspended for making contact and verbally berating an official. That adds to long-term injury absences like Mauro Diaz, George John and Hendry Thomas.
Kellyn Acosta and Walker Zimmerman are also out as Oscar Pareja's men continue to face a plethora of injuries. Michel and Matt Hedges are listed as questionable but traveled to Ohio with the team.
