Colorado Rapids 3-0 New England Revolution: Omar Cummings Leads Rout

The Colorado Rapids dispatched the visiting New England Revolution in convincing fashion, winning 3-0.

Jamie Smith assisted the first two goals to give the Rapids a commanding 2-0 halftime lead. Omar Cummings got things rolling in the fifth minute with his 10th goal of the season. Not to be outdone, Conor Casey joined his strike partner on double digits half an hour later.

Both midweek transfers Brian Mullan and Mac Kandji made their Colorado debuts. Kandji replaced Mullan at the hour mark and made a telling impact, assisting on the third goal.

That one was slotted home by former Revs winger Wells Thompson.

New England continues its road trip and will face FC Dallas on Wednesday. Colorado has a week to prepare for the clash against rival Real Salt Lake.
