Colorado extended its unbeaten run to six but will rue two dropped points as Chivas USA equalized late to nab a draw.Chivas USA twice bounced back to earn a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids, with two new summer signings providing the goals for the Goats.
The home side chased a fourth consecutive win and got on the board early. Pablo Mastroeni, making his 300th MLS start, hit a teasing cross that Caleb Folan leaned his towering frame towards to head home the opener.
The Goats hit back within the half, with Nick LaBrocca springing Juan Pablo Angel, who made his first appearance for Chivas USA since a transfer from the LA Galaxy this week. The Colombian side-footed past Matt Pickens from outside the box.
In the second half, the Rapids once again took the lead. This time it was Jeff Larentowicz with the header from a corner kick. Colorado thought it had done enough until the 86th minute. That's when Laurent Courtois poked the ball under Pickens after being set through by a nifty flick by Michael Lahoud to level the score and force both clubs to leave with a draw.
