That's all from Verona, where Juventus kicked off their title defence with a win. I've been Kyle Hancox and thanks for joining our live text commentary of today's game. I hope you enjoyed the action, goodbye.
For Corini and his Chievo side, it was a game nobody expected them to win and they did not embarrass themselves. They could have taken a point had it not been for Buffon. Next up for them is a trip to Napoli, after the international break, where they will hope to get their first point on the board.
The referee brings the game to an end here and it's an opening day victory for Juventus. It could have been more emphatic but for the woodwork denying them on three occasions in the first half. However it could also have been worse, had it not been for the reactions of Buffon to get down well and deny Lopez. The Old Lady looked in control for the majority of the game, but there is more to come from Allegri's side.
Full Time: Chievo Verona 0-1 Juventus
90' + 4'
The referee has sent Chievo manager Corini to the stands after he appeared to kick the ball before it had gone off the pitch. The ball was going out for a Chievo throw but his excitement got the better of him and the referee decided to allow a drop ball.
90' + 3'
Another foul by Lopez, this time bringing down Caceres, allowing Juventus to run down more time. Chievo get the ball back and pump it long but Ogbonna is able to snuff out any danger with a clearance. The home side try the long ball tactic again, this time the ball goes all the way out for a goal kick.
90' + 1'
The referee has added on four minutes of stoppage time. Pogba tries his arm this time for Juventus, but his shot from distance was watched harmlessly wide by Bardi.
Into the final minute of normal time and Chievo are beginning to show their frustration as Maxi Lopez drags Roberto Pereyra to the ground.
Vidal has been brought off to a great reception from the crowd. He seemed very emotional walking off the pitch, could that have been a goodbye? Juventus still keeping the ball, this time Lichtsteiner forces a corner but it comes to nothing.
Juventus playing keep ball as Chievo begin to chase the game, Pogba and Vidal seeing a lot of the ball in the central midfield area.
Llorente has been brought on in the search of a second goal for Juventus, but he won't get one like that. Blasting the ball high over the bar from the edge of the box.
Chance for Tevez! The Argentine collects the ball and runs at the defence, producing a curling effort with his right foot that was just wide of the post.
After that scare Juventus have tried to get some composure back in to their game, knocking the ball around from side-to-side, keeping possession away from their opponents.
SAVE FROM BUFFON! Paloschi turns and shoots on the edge of the box but his effort his blocked by Ogbonna, the ball drops kindly to Lopez who tries to slide the ball into the bottom right corner but Buffon gets down well to save.
Last ditch clearance from Chievo!! Some nice footwork from Tevez who passes the ball out right to Lichtsteiner. His low cross looks to be an easy tap in for Llorente but Cesar was able to swing a boot at it and clear the danger.
Vidal plays Asamoah through down the left and the wide man tries to lift a ball to Llorente but he over hit his cross and it went high over the Spanish strikers head.
Llorente goes close straight away, he meets a cross from the right to head back across goal but Bardi gets a strong hand to it. From the resulting corner Tevez flashed a ball across the box but Llorente's effort was blocked.
Birsa is adamant he won his team a corner after playing the ball off Caceres, but the referee points for a goal kick. Much to the disappointment to everyone in yellow.
Substitute Radovanovic has been stretched off the pitch and looks in some pain. The game resumes after a short break with Juventus in possession.
The home side have been camped in their own half since the second period began and have had to defend well to stay in this game. Juventus make a sub, bringing on Fernando Llorente for Coman, to add more of a physical presence in the box.
The ball is worked out right to Lichtsteiner again, who continues to occupy these advanced positions down the flank. However the attack is ended after mix up between Vidal and the defender with the ball going out for a Chievo throw.
Juventus have begun the second half much like they ended the first. Asamoah and Coman on the wings have caused countless problems for the Chievo defence and the movement of Tevez continues to keep the defenders on their toes.
Good team play by Juventus. Tevez runs at the heart of Chievo's defence and plays the ball to Lichtsteiner, he then lays it to Vidal who delivers a cross that Coman could only head over the top.
Coman tries to lift the ball to Tevez but Radovanovic slides in to knock the ball out for a corner, whilst also colliding with his team mate Dainelli who needs some treatment.
The free-kick is taken by Tevez, who tries to curl it over the wall but it goes harmlessly over the bar.
Yellow Card Dario Dainelli
A wonderful piece of individual play from Pogba. After losing the ball in midfield he works hard to win it back off Radovanovic, he then skips past three players and draws a foul on the edge of the box.
Lichtsteiner recieves the ball out right and fires in a low cross towards Tevez but it is cleared easily by Cesar.
Tevez and Vidal attempt a one-two but there are too many defenders back and the attack is easily defended. The home side have a lot of men back behind the ball when they lose possession.
A ball from Pogba almost finds it's way to Lichtsteiner at the back post but Cesar gets his head to the ball and clears the danger.
Lopez complaining to referee that he was handled by Ogbonna as he chased a through ball, but the referee waves away his appeals and Buffon is able to collect the ball.
Coman comes close straight away. He curles a left footed effort that goes narrowly wide of the post.
The second half begins and Chievo have made two changes, Ivan Radovanovic and Alberto Paloschi have come on to replace Schelotto and Mangani. Juventus kicking from left to right in this half.
With the chances they have created, Juventus should be cruising to an opening day win. But as it stands this game is far from over. Corini and his Chievo side are still in with a chance here and he will be hoping they can come out in the second half and put the champions under some pressure.
Juventus got their season off to a flying start, opening the scoring after just seven minutes. A dangerous cross by Tevez ended with Biraghi putting the ball in his own net. Since that goal the Turin side have looked the more threatening with Vidal, Tevez and Caceres all hitting the woodwork. However Chievo have shown glimpses of what they can do with Schelotto and Lopez both having opportunities.
HALF TIME: Chievo Verona 0-1 Juventus
The fourth official's board shows one minute of added time at the end of this first half. The Gialloblu are pressing for an equaliser before the break but the Juve defence is standing strong. The referees bring an end to proceedings and that's half time.
The crossbar comes to Chievo's rescue again. A corner is played in by Tevez and Caceres connected with a looping header that beat Bardi but was unable to find the back of the net.
TEVEZ HITS THE CROSSBAR! A fast break by Asamoah who plays the ball wide to Lichtsteiner, his cross is met by the on-rushing Tevez, but the Argentine's effort comes back off the bar.
Kwadwo Asamoah has seen a lot of the ball down the left flank in this first half. This time he links up well with Paul Pogba but Dario Dainelli comes across well to clear the danger.
A sloppy piece of play by Vidal gifts possession to Chievo on the half-way line. His attempted pass to Stephan Lichtsteiner goes out for a throw-in. Chievo are unable to take advantage though as Juventus regain possession.
Coman comes close. Tevez plays the ball to him and the Frenchman turns his marker and drills his effort towards the bottom corner. Francesco Bardi gets down well to save.
Juventus once again control the ball but are struggling break through the defence at the minute. Coman and Tevez try to link up down the right with a neat one-two, but the ball is given away cheaply by Coman.
Yellow Card Thomas Mangani
This game has become a little bit scrappy over the last five minutes with a few full-blooded challenges flying in and players going in to the referee's note book.
Yellow Card Arturo Vidal
Vidal goes in to the referee's book after a poor slide tackle on Cristiano Biraghi, the resulting free-kick is over everyone's head and out for a throw in.
Juventus continue to play the better football and look the more likely to get the next goal, but on a couple of occasions Chievo have shown they have the ability to trouble the Turin club's back line.
Counter by Chievo. Lopez breaks out of defence and plays the ball in to Schelotto, but his effort was unable to test Buffon as it trickled wide.
Juventus attack down the right with Vidal taking on his man and putting a ball in to the box, but it's straight in to the keepers hands.
Chievo enjoy a short period of pressure but from a short corner Valter Birsa tries a spectacular, but can only succeed in blazing his effort high and wide.
OFF THE POST!! Vidal goes close again, he dives down low to head a cross and the ball comes back out off the woodwork and Chievo clear the danger.
Arturo Vidal almost makes it 2-0 to Juventus as he controls a cross and at the second attempt stabs the ball towards goal however Bostjan Cesar was able to clear it for a corner.
Schelotto looked to be through on goal as he dispossessed Angelo Ogbonna, but the referee saw enough in it to award a free-kick to Juventus and stop the move in its tracks.
Juventus are seeing a lot of the ball in the opening minutes and have created some good chances. However, the home side look they could cause the Old Lady's defence some problems today.
Claudio Marchisio with an attempt this time. Paul Pogba lays the ball to him at the edge of the box but he slices his effort over the crossbar.
Gianluigi Buffon is called in to action for the first time as Ezequil Schelotto heads the ball towards goal, but it's easy for the Italian stopper. Another chance for Chievo as Lopez picks up the ball in the box but fires his effort over the bar.
Own Goal Cristiano Biraghi
It's an own goal. A deep corner is whipped in to the back post by Tevez and the Martin Caceres rises above everyone to head the ball towards goal, with the last touch coming off Biraghi.
GOAL JUVENTUS!!!!! 1-0
Juventus are doing much of the early pressing and Chievo give up possession cheaply in their own half. A ball over the top is played to Coman who tries to curl his effort in, but it is deflected for a corner.
EARLY CHANCE!! The ball comes to Carlos Tevez in the box, but the ex-Manchester City man snatches at the effort and drags it wide of the post.
The players are out and kick-off is almost upon us. Will Juventus be able to pick up from where they left last season. The referee blows his whistle and the game is under-way, Juventus kicking from right to left.
Juventus did the double over their opponents last season and have a great record of only losing once to Chievo, a 1-0 away loss in 2010. Allegri will be hoping that form can continue today as the ex-AC Milan manager gets his reign in Turin underway.
Chievo head coach Eugenio Corini includes seven new signings in his starting line-up. Mariano Izco, Maxi Lopez, Cristiano Biragi, Thomas Mangani, Ezequiel Scheletto, Valter Birsa and Francesco Bardi start. Alberto Paloschi, who scored 14 goals in Serie A for Verona last season, is on the bench.

Last seasons top goalscorer Carlos Tevez starts up front, with new signing Alvaro Morata out injured. Other noteable absentees include Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Pirlo. Other new signings Luca Marrone, Roberto Pereyra, Patrice Evra and Romulo are on the bench.
