Will Bruin and Logan Pause traded goals on the rain-drenched evening
The game was initially stopped after 13 minutes, and was restarted after a 70-minute weather delay.
When the match resumed, Houston got off the mark first when Brian Ching played a great through-ball to Will Bruin, who finished with his left foot past Sean Johnson.
Just a couple minutes later and the home side was level, albeit from fortunate circumstances. Pavel Pardo struck a free-kick that hit a ducking Logan Pause in the back, and flew past Tally Hall. The goal was credited to Pause, who really knew nothing about it.
With the match level in the 65th minute, the rain and lightning returned, forcing referee Geoff Gamble to stop the game again. After the weather appeared set to continue, the game was ended in a 1-1 draw.
