Chicago Fire 1-4 Chivas USA: Chelis revolution continues away to woeful Fire

The Fire scored their first goal of the season, but it wasn't nearly enough as Jose Luis Sanchez Sola's side continued its good form.

Chivas USA scored a comprehensive 4-1 victory at Toyota Park over the Chicago Fire to improve their record to 2-1-1 on the season.

The game was scoreless until the 57th minute, when Edgar Mejia struck a rocket from 25 yards out after the Fire failed to properly clear a cross from the left flank.

The Fire found their first goal of the match -- and the season -- just a few minutes later when Sherjill MacDonald slipped Patrick Nyarko behind the defense and the Ghanaian slotted home.

The Chivas onslaught came in the final 20 minutes. First, off a free kick, Joaquin Velazquez floated a header over Fire keeper Paolo Tornaghi, who was caught in no man's land.

The points were sealed minutes later when Juan Agudelo shrugged off a Jeff Larentowicz challenge in the box, before curling a classy right-footed effort into the corner.

The home side's misery was complete when Jalil Anibaba turned into his own net with just minutes to play.
