And there's the whistle at the Bridge! Chelsea have edged it with an injury-time winner from Mata, after Diame equalised following Ivanovic's controversial opener. The Blues close to within three points of the top four, while Wigan remain at the wrong end of the table. Thanks to all for joining me this afternoon!
  • 90' + 3'
    Assist Fernando Torres
  • 90' + 3'
    Goal Juan Mata
GOAL!! Mata turns it home for Chelsea!! Drogba picks out Torres at the far post, and he rasps a volley off the far post only for Mata to bundle the ball home.
  • 89'
With Bolton and Blackburn both losing heavily, this could be a huge five minutes for the Latics in their quest for Premier League survival, while the hosts are still looking at a six-point gap to the top four ...
  • 86'
What a chance for Kalou! Torres again finds space down the right and floats a great ball to Kalou, who is unmarked at the back post but can only scuff the ball into the side netting from six yards. Huge chance for the hosts there!

    SubstitutionDaniel Sturridge Salomon Kalou

    Assist Ben Watson
  • 82'
    Goal Mohamed Diame
GOAL!! What a strike from Diame!! Good pressure from Wigan as Watson feeds Diame. The substitute shifts the ball past Mikel and smashes it left-footed beyong the motionless Cech into the far corner. We're level here at the Bridge!
  • 80'
    SubstitutionFranco Di Santo Conor Sammon

Great chance for Chelsea to settle the match! Sturridge was fed with a great cross-field pass and drove towards goal from the left-hand side, but his side-footed effort went straight into the side netting. Moments later Torres does brilliantly to dummy Figueroa and make space for a cross, but it's cleared to Meireles who fires high, wide and not-so-handsome.
  • 77'
Appeals for a Chelsea penalty as Mata swings the ball over from Torres' pass, only for Drogba's header to be blocked by the arm of Caldwell. It would have been harsh to say the least on the Wigan defender, who had eyes only for the ball. Chelsea still look the more likely to score here.
  • 74'
    SubstitutionMichael Essien John Obi Mikel
  • 73'
Drogba powers his way into the box but McArthur recovers well to hook the ball clear from the Ivorian's feet. Moments later, Mata slides the ball to Torres in acres of space to the left of Wigan's area but he slips and knocks the ball harmlessly behind for a goal kick. Horrible moment for the Spaniard.

Chelsea are on top now and look the more likely to score a second here this afternoon. Wigan will need to shake off the disappointment of that goal quickly if they're to get something from the match.
  • 67'
Al-Habsi makes a great save from Torres after Bertrand's cross-field pass but the flag is up for offside anyway. Another poor decision from the officials there, as replays show Torres was clearly level.
  • 65'
    Yellow Card Maynor Figueroa
  • 64'
Di Santo with an immediate chance to equalise! Moses finds space inside the box, turns past Cech and feeds the Argentina striker, but Ivanovic appears from nowhere to clear his shot off the line. So unlucky for Wigan, but top defending from the Chelsea full-back.
  • 61'
    Assist Raúl Meireles
  • 61'
    Goal Branislav Ivanovic
GOAL!! CHELSEA ARE IN FRONT!! Mata's free-kick wasn't fully cleared, Meireles turned the ball back in for Drogba to flick on and Ivanovic to turn home from point blank range. Wigan players are furious as the scorer was clearly offside when the ball was played back in, but the goal stands.
  • 61'
    Yellow Card Shaun Maloney
  • 59'
    SubstitutionFlorent Malouda Fernando Torres
  • 59'
Strange decision here from the referee as Michael Essien brings down Moses from behind as the forward looked to spin clear, but the official awards the free-kick to the Blues. Essien is lucky there - he's already on a booking.
  • 56'
Alcaraz loses possession and Chelsea finally make some ground in the Wigan half. Meireles tries his luck, the ball bounces to Essien and he chips it through to Drogba but Al-Habsi makes a good save at the near post from the Ivorian. Better from Chelsea.
  • 53'
    Yellow Card Florent Malouda
  • 52'
Excellent play from Maloney as he cuts inside and back-heels to Beausejour. The Chilean's cross is blocked but McCarthy is able to cross from the byline and Chelsea scramble it clear. Great play from the visitors, who are on top here at the Bridge.
  • 49'
Di Santo earns a free-kick just inside the Chelsea half. Beausejour's delivery somehow bounces through and almost reaches Maloney but David Luiz is across to cover at the near post. Beausejour then whips a terrific ball in from the left flank and Boyce almost got in ahead of Betrand but failed to trouble Cech. Good start to the half from the Latics.
  • 46'
The hosts get the second half underway...
  • 45' + 1'
What a save from Al-Habsi! Malouda and Bertrand combine on the left, and the Frenchman's cross is met with power by the head of Drogba at the far post but Ali Al-Habsi does brilliantly to tip the ball over. That's the last action of the half here, which has largely been disappointing for the hosts against a confident Wigan side. Stay with us for the second half - live!
  • 45'
Young Ryan Bertrand has been a real threat down the left so far this afternoon. He plays another excellent cross towards Drogba, who flicks the ball on to the far post where Sturridge turns it goalwards but Al-Habsi claims comfortably. It was a tricky one for Sturridge to control on the bounce there.
  • 42'
Figueroa hits another 35-yard effort but it deflects behind for a goal kick. At the other end, both Meireles and Bertrand try their luck with some telling crosses but Wigan clear their lines well. No sign of an imminent breakthrough as we approach half time here.
  • 39'
Great chance for Chelsea! Drogba slips the ball through to Mata, who turns the defender and goes for goal with his right foot from the edge of the six-yard box but Al-Habsi makes the block. Drogba's headed follow-up is cleared away by Boyce. Great interplay from the forwards there.
  • 36'
Alcaraz clears away from deep inside the box. Chelsea come again and look long for Drogba, but the ball sails harmlessly behind with the forward once more going down rather theatrically under Caldwell's challenge. Wigan have had little to worry them unduly thus far.
  • 33'
A vague penalty shout for Chelsea as Drogba brings the ball down with his back to goal before going to ground under Caldwell's challenge. That would have been a soft one to give. Correct call from the officials there, much to continuing irritation of the home fans, who have seen little to cheer about from their side as yet.
  • 30'
Moses is causing a lot of problems for Chelsea. He picks out Maloney this time who cuts inside and wins a corner off Cahill. Beausejour's delivery is met by Caldwell, who can't keep his header down. Decent chance for the visitors there, who are currently on top here at the Bridge.
  • 27'
Roberto Martinez will be delighted with how his side have played up to now. Moses again turns his man well and has a go from 20 yard out, but Cech is behind the low shot. The visitors are playing with some confidence here after their recent good results. As I say that, Drogba finds some space on the edge of the box and lets fly but the ball fizzes wide of the left-hand post.
  • 24'
Michael Essien is the first player to be booked after tripping Moses, who had turned well on the halfway line and was driving towards the box. The kick is taken short to Figeuroa who has a go from all of 35 yards, but it's comfortably dealt with by Cech.
  • 22'
    Yellow Card Michael Essien
  • 21'
Mata has been at heart of Chelsea's work so far and the Spaniard does well to feed Meireles to the left of the area. The resulting corner finds its way out to Gary Cahill, who rifles in a shot from 25 yards which Al-Habsi tips over the bar. First real chance for the hosts.
  • 18'
Chelsea are struggling to inject any pace into the game at the moment, which is undoubtedly suiting Wigan better. They look content to sit back and attempt to hit the Blues on the counter attack with the pace of Maloney and Moses.
  • 15'
Decent chance for Malouda there as Bertrand's cross is only half-cleared and drops kindly on the Frenchman's left-foot, but he scuffs his effort nearer the corner flag than the goal.
  • 12'
Wigan are harrying Chelsea wheneve the Blues have the ball in their half. It's been a decent start from Roberto Martinez's side.
  • 9'
Neither side has been able to make much headway thus far, but Ivanovic earns a free-kick on the right flank in a dangerous position for the Blues. Mata's delivery is headed up in the air by Drogba and Al-Habsi makes the catch.
  • 6'
First real chance for Wigan as Di Santo earns the game's first corner as his shot from distance is deflected behind. The corner is taken short and Maloney dinks inside but Drogba is back to clear.
  • 3'
Early chance for the Blues from Mata's free-kick but Wigan clear comfortably. The fans are in good voice here at the Bridge.

Wigan get us underway here at Stamford Bridge!
  • Ryan Bertrand is the surprise pick today for Chelsea, as John Terry misses out as expected due to a rib injury. For the visitors, Franco Di Santo starts against his former club alongside top-scorer Victor Moses.
