His crossbar saved him when his positioning was awry for Dyer's thunderbolt, but otherwise had little to do.
Got turned by Sinclair on a few occasions but defended solidly and cleared a header off the line in the second half just as his team were looking shaky.
Made some fine challenges and won nearly everything in the air.
Back to his best after being roasted by Nani last weekend. Set up the second goal with a shrewd pass to Ramires and defended and attacked with great commitment.
Held the defense together when Chelsea looked vulnerable early in the second half. Lampard might have been demoted but JT is still the 'daddy' at the back.
Ostensibly stationed left of Chelsea's front three, but was given license to roam and it was from right of center that he created Chelsea's opener by dinking a lovely ball on to the chest of Torres. Received a standing ovation when he was surprisingly withdrawn in the 59th minute.
Saw plenty of the ball and generally used it perceptively as Villas-Boas preferred the former Liverpool man to Lampard. Came close to scoring on three occasions as he demonstrated his skill in timing his runs from midfield.
J. Obi Mikel
Began the game in pugnacious style by making two excellent tackles to emphatically end Swansea attacks. The Nigerian also demonstrated the more creative side of his game by nearly putting Torres through on goal in the first half with one excellent pass from near the halfway line.
Energy, commitment and genuine quality from the Brazilian, who is emerging as the outstanding midfielder at Chelsea. Finished superbly for both of his goals following brilliant breakaways and showed his versatility by attacking menacingly from the right flank in the second half.
Chants of 'Torres, Torres' filled the Bridge following his emphatically dispatched second goal in consecutive games and his first in front of the Shed End. The Spaniard also played a hand in the second by Ramires but the adrenaline got the better of him and he can have few complaints with the straight red card for his two-footed lunge on Gower. Can still consider himself in credit despite his team having to play with 10 men for the majority of the game.
Impressive display by the Frenchman, both on the right of the front three, and as the lone striker following Torres' red card. Belted a second half long-ranger against the crossbar.
Made some fine saves but his positioning was poor at times and will be glad there was no further damage.
Struggled to cope with the pace, energy and well-timed runs of Ramires.
Headed a late consolation goal and never gave anything less than wholehearted commitment in what was a tough assignment.
One of his team's better performers. Defended solidly and made some fine charges forward in the second half.
Had a header cleared off the line but struggled against Chelsea's nimble attackers and could not cope with Torres' movement for the opening goal.
Just about managed to keep his head above water.
Never quite able to master Cole, but had a tasty battle with the left-back and was the most impressive of Swansea's front three with his jet-heeled pace and wholehearted commitment. Struck the bar with a thunderous second-half strike.
His pace and trickery caused problems to Bosingwa but he tried to over-elaborate too often.
Fortunate not to have been seriously hurt by Torres' two-footed lunge and dusted himself down to help his team gain a foothold in the central acres.
The former Arsenal trainee held his own in typically tidy fashion in the opening half but was replaced during the break by the more offensive Routledge.
Anonymous display by the much-traveled striker and withdrawn after an hour.

Replaced Mata as Chelsea changed formation to 4-4-1 and tried to batten down the hatches after an hour. Helped strengthen the midfield.
Came on for Meireles late on.
- 8 F. Lampard
- 21 S. Kalou
Hugged Brendan Rodgers on the touchline when he came on to a rapturous reception late on following his spell out with concussion. Demonstrated his touch has not deserted him by poaching the fourth goal four minutes into added time.
